    No full text
This study aims to analyze the representation of toxic positivity in the Clash of Champions broadcast on the Ruangguru YouTube Channel (Case Study at SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar). The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with students at SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results show a representation of toxic positivity. According to students of SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar, the message that appears in the Clash of Champions broadcast on the Ruangguru YouTube channel is manifested through a narrative that emphasizes the importance of always thinking positively, not giving up, and continuing to fight without a balanced depiction of emotional realities such as sadness, failure, or fatigue. The broadcast tends to simplify the process of achieving success, as if it only requires passion and motivation, without considering social, psychological, or economic obstacles. The meaning contained behind the narrative and visuals of the broadcast Clash of Champions represents toxic positivity in the form of pressure to always appear strong, cheerful, and never give up under any circumstances. According to some students, these messages can be uplifting, but can also be burdensome when under pressure, because they feel they are not allowed to show vulnerability or failure. The consistent visuals of success and happiness reinforce the construct that negative emotions are a form of weakness that must be avoided. The responses of students at SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar to the representation of toxic positivity in the Clash of Champions show varied. Some students accepted the motivational messages as constructive (dominant-hegemonic), others interpreted them critically (negotiated), and still others felt the messages actually created emotional pressure (oppositional

    No full text
The This research analyzes the risks, opportunities, management strategies, and the role of maritime geostrategy in the management of the Strait of Malacca as a primary international supply chain route. The findings indicate that the Strait of Malacca faces significant maritime security threats, traffic congestion, and impacts from climate change, which affect the stability of maritime transportation. Risk management strategies through UNCLOS, ReCAAP, and the Malacca Straits Patrol have proven effective but still face operational challenges. Strategic opportunities are identified through the development of port infrastructure and the adoption of modern logistics technology. Geopolitical dynamics between coastal states and major powers, such as the US and China, influence regional stability and the sustainability of the global supply chain. This study recommends multilateral collaboration, sustainable investment in infrastructure, and the adoption of technology to enhance the efficiency and security of maritime transportation. With a holistic approach, the Strait of Malacca can continue to play its role in supporting an efficient and sustainable international supply chain

Developing an AI-Enhanced Maritime Threat Detection Model: : Predictive Security Framework for Illegal Fishing and Piracy in the Natuna Sea

    No full text
Abstract This research proposes a predictive security framework based on artificial intelligence to counter non-traditional maritime threats such as illegal fishing and piracy in the geopolitically critical North Natuna Sea at the southern boundary of the South China Sea. The framework integrates multiple maritime data streams-including vessel tracking, satellite imagery, radar observations, and logbook entries-and applies advanced machine learning methods such as long short term memory networks and computer vision to identify anomalous vessel behaviour. The results indicate that the artificial intelligence system can reliably distinguish between lawful and illicit maritime operations, enabling the development of early warning capabilities. The study also highlights that the effectiveness of this predictive security approach relies on supportive regulatory frameworks and coordinated action among relevant agencies. This work presents a novel, context specific solution tailored to Indonesia’s maritime environment, combining behavioural vessel modelling, multisource data fusion, and geopolitical awareness. The proposed model facilitates a shift from reactive to proactive maritime threat management and offers a scalable approach applicable to other high risk maritime regions

Transformation Caused by Marine Sediment Mining in Karimun Besar Island: A Documentary Analysis and Its Implications for Non-Traditional Maritime Security

    No full text
Marine sediment mining in the Riau Islands Province, particularly around Karimun Besar Island, has created a multidimensional challenge involving ecological degradation, socio-economic disparities, and maritime security concerns. This study aims to analyze the ecological transformation and its implications for non-traditional maritime security using a qualitative documentary analysis approach. Data were obtained from six scientific journals and institutional reports from BMKG, KLHK, and IOJI. The results reveal that intensive sand extraction has caused significant geomorphological changes, including seabed deformation, shoreline erosion, and mangrove degradation of up to 40% between 2015 and 2023. Although mining activities have increased local household income by approximately 20%, labor absorption remains minimal at only 4%, leading to social inequality and community tension. Furthermore, environmental damage has weakened coastal resilience and triggered non-traditional security threats such as cross-border fishing, smuggling, and local conflicts. The study concludes that marine sediment mining in Karimun Besar represents a paradox of development economic gains coexist with ecological and security degradation. To address this issue, Indonesia must adopt an eco-maritime security governance model that integrates environmental protection, socio-economic sustainability, and inter-agency maritime coordination to maintain national resilience and Good Order at Se

    No full text
This study examines the influence of leadership, personality characteristics, and achievement motivation on the professional commitment of accredited private vocational school teachers in West Jakarta. Professional commitment is recognized as a critical factor in ensuring instructional quality and preparing students for evolving industry demands. The study aims to analyze the direct and indirect contributions of the three predictor variables to teachers’ professional commitment. A quantitative survey method with path analysis was employed, involving 133 permanent teachers selected through multistage random sampling. The results reveal that all independent variables exert a positive influence on professional commitment. Achievement motivation demonstrates the strongest direct effect, followed by personality characteristics. Leadership shows a smaller direct effect but contributes significantly through indirect pathways mediated by personality and motivation. These findings indicate that professional commitment is shaped by the interaction between internal and external factors, highlighting the importance of supportive leadership in fostering teachers’ motivation and personality development. The study offers theoretical contributions to integrated models of professional commitment within vocational education and practical implications for leadership strategies, teacher development programs, and quality improvement policies in vocational schools

    No full text
This study aims to analyse the differences in the influence of self-efficacy on entrepreneurial orientation among vocational high school (SMK) students based on family background, namely entrepreneurial families and non-entrepreneurial families. The background of this study is based on the high unemployment rate among SMK graduates and empirical findings that families play an important role in shaping entrepreneurial character. The research method used was a comparative quantitative approach involving 92 respondents consisting of 46 students from entrepreneurial families and 46 students from non-entrepreneurial families. The research instrument measured self-efficacy and three dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation: innovativeness, risk-taking, and proactiveness. Data analysis was performed through classical assumption testing and simple linear regression in each group. The results showed that self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial orientation in both groups. However, the strength of this effect differed markedly. In the entrepreneurial group, the R Square value reached 0.545 for Y₁ and 0.465 for Y₂, indicating that self-efficacy is a strong predictor of entrepreneurial orientation. Conversely, in the non-entrepreneurial group, the R Square value was only around 0.248, indicating that most of the variation in entrepreneurial orientation was explained by other factors. These findings indicate that entrepreneurial family experiences and environments strengthen the relationship between self-efficacy and entrepreneurial orientation. This study emphasises the important role of the family in shaping entrepreneurial character and has implications for vocational schools to strengthen experience-based learning for students without an entrepreneurial family background

    No full text
The copyright infringement case involving the singer Vidi Aldiano has drawn significant attention within the study of intellectual property law in Indonesia, particularly regarding conflicts of interest between creators, rights holders, and actors in the music industry. This study aims to analyze the legal dynamics that arise in the context of copyright disputes and conflicts of interest based on the prevailing laws and regulations in Indonesia. The research employs a doctrinal or normative legal approach with qualitative analysis of secondary data, including legislation, legal documents, news reports, and relevant public statements. The findings indicate that weaknesses in collective management systems and the lack of transparency in royalty administration constitute major triggers of conflict. Moreover, the blurred boundaries between personal, professional, and institutional interests within the music industry further complicate dispute resolution. This study recommends strengthening regulatory frameworks, enhancing legal protection for copyright holders, and increasing transparency within collective management organizations in the collection and distribution of royalties. These insights are expected to serve as a reference for policymaking and for future reform of Indonesia’s intellectual property law.   &nbsp
