Combating Radicalism Through Digital Literacy: Building Resilience At Al-Riyadh Cipanas

    No full text
Abstract In the era of asymmetric warfare, radicalization no longer develops through face-to-face interaction, but rather through digital propaganda that targets Generation Z by utilizing social media. Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), as traditional Islamic educational institutions, face a fundamental challenge: how to maintain a bastion of moderation when threats come from the digital space, which is difficult to control. This study aimed to analyze how Al Riyadh Cipanas Islamic Boarding School built student resilience through digital literacy as a counter-radicalization strategy. The study used a qualitative approach with an instrumental case study design, involving boarding school caregivers, teachers, and students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and field observations. Thematic analysis identified three main dimensions: the integration of digital literacy based on Wasatiyah (Islamic moderation) values; the role of teachers as digital gatekeepers and mentors who built trust and guided students through dialogue; and halaqah (discussion circles) as a space for deconstructing digital narratives and developing critical thinking. These three dimensions formed a layered defense and prepared students as agents of digital moderation. &nbsp

Legal Protection For Local Communities In Natural Resource Utilization Conflicts: A Literature Review

    No full text
The escalation of natural resource exploitation often places local communities in a vulnerable position, leading to persistent socio-environmental conflicts. This study aims to analyze the implementation of legal protections for local communities within the context of natural resource utilization and to identify the structural barriers that hinder environmental justice. Using a qualitative descriptive method through a comprehensive documentary study, this research examines various legal frameworks, scholarly discourses, and judicial precedents. The findings reveal a significant "implementation gap" between statutory mandates and grassroots reality. While the law theoretically provides safeguards through mechanisms such as Environmental Impact Assessments (AMDAL) and the recognition of customary rights, these are often undermined by pro-investment policies, such as the Omnibus Law on Job Creation, which simplify licensing at the expense of public participation. Furthermore, bureaucratic hurdles in recognizing indigenous land tenure continue to marginalize local inhabitants. The study concludes that legal protection remains formalistic rather than substantive. To achieve genuine environmental justice, there is an urgent need to strengthen Anti-SLAPP regulations, simplify the recognition of customary forests, and shift the legal paradigm from state-centric developmentalism to a community-centered approach that prioritizes distributive and procedural justice. No full text
MSMEs play a strategic role in the local economy, but in Gorontalo City, their productivity and sectoral advantages show a complex dynamic and have not optimally supported the transformation towards a service-based city. This study aims to analyze the productivity and comparative and competitive advantages of MSMEs in Gorontalo City, as well as to map potential sectors for future development. The research uses a mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential design, where quantitative analysis of productivity data from 2014–2024 and projections for 2025–2030 is conducted using dynamic system modeling with Vensim, as well as regression, exponential smoothing, and ARIMA methods. Sectoral advantage analysis is carried out using the LQShare and LQShift approaches, which are dynamic in nature. The results show that MSME productivity experienced fluctuations and a decline due to the pandemic, but began to recover in 2024 and is projected to increase in an optimistic scenario along with digitalization policies and strengthening the service sector. The LQ analysis identifies the garment and handicraft sectors as progressive, while the metal-electronics sector remains sluggish, and the building materials and food sectors fall under the developing category. The study recommends strengthening local fiscal policies, improving MSME digital literacy, developing an e-commerce ecosystem, and business incubation for the developing and sluggish sectors. These efforts are expected to strengthen MSME productivity sustainably and support the vision of Gorontalo City as a service economy hub in 2025–2029

As more people in Indonesia become concerned about their health, body image, and natural eating habits, herbal weight loss teas are gaining popularity. This creates a competitive market, making it crucial to understand the drivers of consumer purchasing interest. The purpose of this study is to determine the external factors specifically, social and technological factors that affect Indonesian consumers' interest in buying weight loss tea. based on the understanding that purchasing interest is a stage in the purchasing decision process, where consumers form preferences for a product and intend to purchase in the future. Previous research has focused more on internal attributes so there is still a gap in seeing how external factors influence consumer purchasing interest. Using a quantitative methodology and an explanatory research design, this study collected data from 100 respondents who were worried about their weight. The degree to which many independent factors partially and simultaneously affect the dependent variable was ascertained using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings demonstrated that purchasing interest is positively and significantly impacted by sociocultural and technological aspects. According to the regression model, these two independent variables account for 24.2% of the variation in consumer purchasing interest. The results reflect that influencing purchasing interest, Consumers not only consider the benefits of the product but also match their choices with social trends, and cultural values, as well as the encouragement of technological progress

    No full text
Digital transformation in the hospitality industry demands adaptive leadership capable of leveraging technology to sustain employee productivity. This study examines the influence of digital leadership on employee motivation, employee engagement, and work productivity, as well as the mediating roles of motivation and engagement in that relationship, at Maison Aurelia Sanur Hotel, Bali, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected via structured questionnaires administered to all 40 hotel employees through a saturated (census) sampling technique. Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was applied using SmartPLS 4 software to test direct and indirect hypothetical relationships. Results confirm that digital leadership positively and significantly influences employee motivation (β = 0.482, t = 2.730, p = 0.006), employee engagement (β = 0.764, t = 9.147, p = 0.000), and work productivity (β = 0.318, t = 3.458, p = 0.001). Employee motivation (β = 0.386, t = 3.988, p = 0.000) and employee engagement (β = 0.357, t = 3.294, p = 0.001) also significantly predict work productivity. Mediation testing further establishes that both variables serve as significant mediators, with indirect effects of 0.186 (through motivation, p = 0.019) and 0.272 (through engagement, p = 0.003) respectively. The model accounts for 79.5% of the variance in work productivity (R² = 0.795; Q² = 0.934). These findings underscore the strategic importance of strengthening digital leadership as a managerial approach to improving employee productivity through motivational and engagement mechanisms in the hospitality context
