    Cloud computing has become a major driver for innovation in this technological age. All sectors around the world have increasingly moved towards cloud adoption including the healthcare sector. However, cloud computing projects with other IT projects come with their own set of risks that could be costly for organizations if they materialized. This study aims to provide an understanding of the risks of cloud computing projects in healthcare by using a systematic literature review augmented by the constant comparison method.63 articles from five major databases written from the year 2010 to 2022 were reviewed as they are related to cloud computing projects. More specifically, this study shows 198 unique indicators that were categorized into risks, threats, vulnerabilities, probabilities, consequences, and control procedure categories which then were classified into 13 distinct risk classes that can be found in such projects

    Simulation of Dual-Material Hetero-Double Gate Tunnel Field Effect Transistor (TFET) in Sub-Micron Region

    To meet the performance requirements of low power mobile devices, a device with a high ION/IOFF ratio at low-VDD is needed. TFETs are gaining popularity due to their low subthreshold slope and high transconductance compared to MOSFETs. However, silicon-based TFETs have low on-state current, which limits their use in high-performance applications. To overcome this limitation, using a narrower band gap material like Ge can increase tunneling efficiency at the source side. Additionally, the larger ambipolar current associated with Si-TFETs can be reduced by considering a dual-material hetero-double-gate-dielectric (DM HDG) TFET. The main objective of this research is to propose and characterize a new TFET structure by considering the advantages associated with hetero structure and hetero-gate-dielectric TFETs, which realizes a device with an enhanced ION and a suppressed ambipolar current. The structure was fabricated with the addition of a hetero-dielectric Buried Oxide (BOX) on the doped substrate for the reduction of ambipolar current. We will adopt source-to-gate overlap technique to achieve desired subthreshold slope (SS). All the simulations were done by using 2-D TCAD simulator by Atlas Silvaco. The structure was optimized in terms of (ION/IOFF) and other performance metrics and simulation results were compared with other available structures in the literature.     Performances Analysis and Comparison of Active and Hybrid Harmonic Filter in Photovoltaic Water Pumping System

    As an agriculturally based country, many rivers pumping stations are implemented in Myanmar. Currently, these pumping stations are operated with utility supply or diesel engines. For reliable energy supply and energy cost saving, the solar powered river pumping stations are now carried out in Myanmar. Most of these pumping stations are located at the dry zones especially at Magway, Mandalay and Sagaing Divisions. The main problem with solar powered river pumping station is the harmonic induced due to DC/DC boost converter and three phase inverters. Harmonics are the important problem in solar river water pumping system as they can shorten the life span of pumping motors and vibrations. Thus, harmonic filters become the main function of these system.  In this research, the harmonic mitigation for Kanni river pumping system is executed using active and hybrid harmonic filter and their performances are compared.  In this work, solar river water pumping system is designed firstly, and then modelled and simulated using MATLAB/Simulink. Harmonic contents and mitigation performances of each filter are analysed using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) tool.     Impact of Green Building Certification on The Rent of Commercial Properties: A Review

    The world is currently facing two major problems, namely, increasing energy costs and global warming. As a result, it is crucial to take proactive measures to effectively address and mitigate the detrimental impacts arising from elevated energy costs, the pressing issue of global warming, and various types of environmental degradation. As a reaction, international organizations are advocating for the development of eco-friendly, sustainable, or green buildings as a strategy to reduce the harmful effects of the construction sector on the environment. While green development may entail higher costs for developers, it is imperative to evaluate the return on investment from their perspective. As such, this study initially delves into the global landscape of green building certifications and their associated institutions by thoroughly examining relevant literature published between 2003 and 2021. Following that, the study scrutinizes the advancement of research on green building practices across diverse office building sectors and over the course of time. Following that, the study explores green incentives in property markets worldwide, with a particular emphasis on the United States and Europe, as well as other regions. Ultimately, the paper assesses the efficacy of green incentives in driving sustainable building practices in diverse real estate markets. The findings from the review suggest that green certification is associated with higher commercial building rents as opposed to buildings without certifications, with 77% of the research demonstrating a significant positive correlation between green certification and rental rates. Nevertheless, the study recommends that relative rent should be regarded as an endogenous variable in future research, as investment profitability is jointly influenced by both occupancy rate and rental value, underscoring the need for careful consideration in analytical analyses

    Smart Manufacturing with Smart Technologies – A Review

    The application of smart technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing (CC), Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), Big Data (BD), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in production is known as "smart manufacturing" (SM). This article examines how SM changed as a result of the advancement of these technologies. This review summarises the development of each technology before explaining how SM made these technologies possible. The final topic is the future improvements for Industry 4.0.     Ownership Structure and Earnings Management Practices: An Empirical Evidence from Malaysian Public Firms: DOI: https://doi.org/10.33093/ijomfa.2023.4.1.4

    This paper aims to analyse the mitigating effects of ownership structure on earnings management (EM) practices. Data were collected from firms listed on Bursa Malaysia’s main market, covering the years 2011 through 2021. Panel Regression was employed to analyses the data, with the aid of STATA software version 17. The finding of this study confirmed significant negative association between foreign ownership (FOW) and EM of listed firms in Malaysia.  Additionally, managerial ownership (MOW) and ownership concentration (OC) were found to be insignificantly related to EM. Similarly, the two control variables included in the analysis, only firm size (FISZ) was found to be significantly related to EM practices. Practically, this study offers an effective framework for OC, MOW, FOW and EM to reduce executive manager's opportunistic behaviour. The findings from this study supports the need for broader understanding so that investors and other stakeholders can see through earnings reports and, as a result, make informed contractual decisions, particularly when those decisions pertain to non-owner-controlled firms. In addition, the study’s findings provide helpful information to stakeholders in Malaysian listed companies on the value of FOW and it influence on EM mitigation

    Performance Evaluation of Subcontractors Using Weighted Sum Method through KPI Measurement

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) help measure objectives critical to business sustainability. This research takes place in a toy factory’s injection moulding department that has yet to develop indicators for subcontractor performance. Poor subcontractor performance significantly impacts the injection moulding production. In the last three months, the delivered quantity exceeded the target by 27%, delivery time consistency is only 78%, there were 1.31% rejects, and inventory accuracy and material efficiency were 81% and 93% respectively. The objective of the study is to determine the KPI and develop an evaluation procedure for the injection moulding supplier and select the best supplier. Multi-criteria decision-making, i.e., weighted sum method, was used. Five employees were involved in determining the criteria weights. The evaluation was based on each supplier’s performance. A written KPI for the company's subcontractor and performance evaluation procedures were developed. There were six subcontractors of which subcontractor H received the highest score (78.42) and subcontractor G received the lowest score (69.42). The subcontractor performance needs to be improved in the future. In the interest of the company’s sustainability, it is recommended that this subcontractor performance evaluation be institutionalised to support subcontractor performance.     Automated Measurement of Stone Heterogeneity Index and Variation Coefficient of Stone Density on CT Image

    Heterogeneity is a key feature of stone density as Hounsfield Unit (HU) on computer tomography (CT) for extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL) outcomes predicting in urinary calculi patients. The goal of this study is to develop the modified 2D and 3D automate stone heterogeneity index and variation coefficient of stone density estimation program to predict ESWL treatment. For 2D, the proposed program was selected the largest slice of the stone in the whole input slice and then stone related variables, stone heterogeneity index and variation coefficient of stone density were calculated by using the average HU and the number of voxels of the stone. For these variables, it was also developed 3D automate system by using all slices including the stone. Moreover, the 2D schematic diagram was produced to show the internal structure of stone in order to estimate the compositional heterogeneity of stone.  All processes of this study were established without manual process. And then, the result of the proposed study is presented compared with the manual measurements.  The described methods can provide to assist the prediction of ESWL treatment success and urinary stone diagnosis.
