Sawang merupakan bagian dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah dalam Qanun
Lembaga Adat, Tuha Peut merupakan salah satu lembaga adat yang berwenang dalam penyelesaian sengketa antar anggota
masyarakat suatu gampong (desa). Di Kecamatan Sawang Kabupaten Aceh Utara, masih banyak terdapat sengketa-sengketa
adat yang tidak selesai dalam penyelesaian secara adat di gampong dan banyak yang dilaporkan masyarakat ke polisi. Hal ini
juga disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan Lembaga Adat Tuha Peut dalam penyelesaian sengketa pada tingkat gampong.
Sosialisasi dan penyuluhan hukum ini dilakukan dengan pemaparan materi dan dilanjutkan diskusi tanya jawab serta umpat
balik. Hasil sosialisasi dan penyuluhan hukum di Kecamatan Sawang mendapati bahwa hasil dari umpan balik yang
diberikan oleh peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman terhadap peran Lembaga Adat Tuha Peut dalam penyelesaian
sengketa. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini mendapat sambutan baik dari Lembaga Adat Tuha Peut, karena mereka sangat jarang
mendapatkan pembekalan seperti ini
THE POLITICS OF CRIMINAL LAW ON THE PROTECTION OF RAPE VICTIMS BASED ON THE QANUN OF JINAYAH IN ACEH
No full textA country must protect its citizens, including the rape victims. Unfortunately, the protection is not clearly regulated in the form of restitution and compensation in the Criminal Code (KUHP) and Law Procedures Code (KUHAP). The issuance of Qanun Number 6 the Year 2014 about Jinayah Law has contributed significant changes and progress to the protection of rape victims. The study focused on how the politics of criminal law protects rape victims based on the Qanun of Jinayah law in Aceh. The research applied the normative juridical method, specifically analytical descriptive research. The data sources were primary and secondary legal sources. The data analysis was conducted qualitatively. The result indicated that there are two types of protection in the politics of criminal law on the protection of rape victims based on the qanun of jinayah law. First, the ta'zir penalty or fines in the form of gold to the perpetrators. Second, the payment of uqubat restitution from the perpetrators to the rape victims, a maximum of 750 grams of pure gold.

No full textThis essay will examine two different articles, the cause of war based on the book of Samuel Huntington (1993) “Clash of Civilization '' and an article “The New Geography of Conflict” by Michael T Klare (2001). Samuel Huntington prioritizes the culture while Michael T Klare blames oil and gas and other natural resources as part of potential factors that lead to conflict. Both articles debate the same issues regarding the cause of war and the implication after all. Huntington focuses on the Post-Cold War which is a period of history that follows the end of the Cold War, while Klare concerns the period of time during the Cold War
THE INFLUENCE OF ENVIRONMENT, E-WOM, AND FACILITIES ON TOURIST DECISIONS TO VISIT SAWUEK RIVER, NORTH ACEH, INDONESIA
No full textThis study examined the effect of the environment, E-WOM, and facilities on tourists' decision to visit Sawuek river, Indonesia. This study obtained the data by distributing questionnaires to 251 respondents selected using the non-probability approach, namely purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using the Amos SEM tool. The results showed that the environment, E-WOM, and facilities had a positive and significant effect on the decision of tourists to visit the Sawuek river in Indonesia. The tourism environment was the dominant variable influencing tourist decisions. This study had implications for the development of the concept of a river tourism environment.
