No full textThis paper examines lecturers' perceptions of the project-based learning model and assessment on the teaching of English Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Malikussaleh University. Project-based Learning (PBL) is one of the Merdeka Belajar priority program plans in 2021 which is part of the Kampus Merdeka plan by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Higher Education. Projects in
education are one of the assessment instruments used to assess not only learning outcomes but also student learning processes. Students are required to not only learn to understand the material but also learn how to apply knowledge in group work and produce relevant products. The purpose of developing a project-based learning model for accounting students studying English for Specific Purpose (ESP) is so that they can apply English knowledge to their field of expertise. The research results indicate that all lecturers
were familiar with the concept of projects in education. However, they still need more training to develop and
design proper project-based learning and assessment.

No full textThe purpose of this study was to examine the difference in income of the poor before and after receiving social assistance and grants in Aceh Pidie District. To examine how much influence social assistance and grant funds have on the number of poor people in Aceh Pidie District. This research was conducted in Aceh Pidie District. The data used are secondary data and primary data. For secondary data obtained from several relevant agencies such as BPS, BAPEDA and Social Service. The data used are from 2015-2020. Primary data obtained from field research. The estimation results show that both the simultaneous and partial tests where the variables of social assistance and grants have a positive and significant effect on income or the number of poor people in Pidie Regency. The income of the fishing community in Pidie
Regency which can be explained by the social assistance variable and grant funds is 75.5 percent while the remaining 24.5 percent can be explained by other variables not included in this study. The results of the study using a different test show that there is a difference in income between the income earned by the community before and after receiving social assistance and grant funds, where the income of the community after receiving social assistance and grant funds is much greater than before receiving the assistance. In connection with the high level of difference in income received by the community before and after receiving the Social Assistance and Grant Funds, it is hoped that the Pidie Regency government can make a policy again towards the provision of Social Assistance and Grant Funds to reduce poverty levels in Pidie Regency.
