Framework Index security information to support evaluation, adoption and improvement of methods in developing variables
The governance of information security in the Indonesian Government has not been completely improved. Many related variables components are not measured. This study aims to observe an evaluation for application of information security index framework in Indonesian government institutions as the implementation of electronic government. The analysis is carried out by adopting an information security index framework produced in the rank of e-government. The study uses a triangulation approach within a mixed method. This study results in a novel adoption model of information security index framework equipped by two new variables. Therefore, a proper policy of the Indonesian government is required for its implementation
Combination of e-readiness models to assess based on system approaches at cooperatives in Indonesia
The 4.0 industrial revolution, on the one hand, will open opportunities for the domestic product market to compete internationally and vice versa. Business competition is so tight, the existence of free markets and advances in information technology, robotics, artificial intelligence, transportation, and communication are rapid, giving changes quick on the economy. The way to adapt to the outlook and the ability to project change in the environment and be able
to determine the right strategy for this change is a must for organizations that are committed to survival as in Cooperatives in Indonesia. Regarding this problem, there are several e-readiness models that have been developed to test readiness or ability to provide platforms, comparisons,
and estimates including TRAM (Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model) and several variables namely business content and institutional contexts that influence the model. The results show that the TRAM 2.0 model and E readiness are related to each other. The E-readiness model has 2 success factors for The McLeod and MacDonell's projects as attributes used for readiness input. From the correlation process, added a new factor, called Business Content, Institutional Context so that the E-readiness model has 8 factors
Environmental Management Systems (EMSS) in Waste Minimization in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Delhi and Noida, India
This is a multi-disciplinary research study guided by the theories of Entrepreneurship and Operations management. The operations management literature is focused on type of organizational practices that reduces environmental impacts, pollution reduction or importing environmental technologies. Many researchers have established relationship between ISO 14001 certification and lean manufacturing, suggesting that lean manufacturing helps improve environmental management and in turn improves operational performance. This study investigates the challenges small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face in India with regards to their generally poor environmental management track record. The descriptive/diagnostic study aimed to propose a research agenda for EMS in the Indian SME context, inspired by the thus far seemingly limited response within this sector to the growing significance of EMS uptake and implementation for both environmental and commercial reasons. To this end, the thesis is organised to answer two research questions (RQ)
Combining Statistical and Interpretative Analyses for Testing IT Implementation Readiness.
Researchers often use interpretative data analysis to test questionnaires by confirming the results of statistical analysis, but the researchers did not elaborate comprehensively how confirmation was made. Most use statistical analysis techniques only to test and assess questionnaires. In addition, interpretive confirmation is common for experienced researchers
when conducting research, in contrast to novice researchers who have problems confirming the interpretive results of the questionnaire. This study explains how to combine statistical and interpretative analysis with testing the IT implementation questionnaire on HEI. The aim is to assess the questionnaire using statistics and interpret the results of statistical analysis. This
finding can help researchers to test questionnaires; confirmation results can be a consideration and knowledge to revise the questionnaire
Space Security System using Motion Sensor and Notification of Short Message Service with Arduino-Based Fuzzy Logic Algorithm
Security system is a store generally still use a conventional security system. Conventional security devices used include padlock and Close Circuit Television (CCTV). CCTV devices have a function to record any activity or event as long as the store is active or
outside of its activity hours. However, CCTV has disadvantages because CCTV only records without giving a notification if there is human movement in the room after the store's operating hours end. Therefore we need a security system that can provide up-to-date information in real time to detect human movements within the store when it is outside its operating hours. The
system was built using Passive InfraRed Sensors (PIR) which are connected to the microcontroller as the central control system to detect human movement s outside the store's operating hours based on the results of design and testing, this system can be used properly and
provides real time notifications to users. When the sensor detects human movement outside the store's operating hours, the system will send an SMS notification to the shop owner's mobile number
Relationship between Self-Concept, Procrastination, Test Anxiety, Self-Esteem, and Gender among Malaysian Medical Undergraduates
Medical education is regarded as one of the most exhaustive courses. Test anxiety, which is related to demotivation, higher psychological distress, and lower academic performance is a widespread phenomenon in medical education. Failure to deal with prolong test anxiety could result in severe personal and professional consequences to medical undergraduates. This quantitative study was undertaken to build a partial least squares (PLS) model, which concurrently illustrate the direct and indirect effects of personal self-concept, active procrastination, test anxiety, explicit self-esteem, and gender on medical undergraduates. This study is interested in personal self-concept and active procrastination because they have not been investigated alongside test anxiety. Five hundred medical undergraduates from three universities in the Klang Valley participated in this study. The respondents completed a set of self-reported questionnaire that comprised Personal Self-Concept Questionnaire, Active Procrastination Scale, Test and Examination Anxiety Measure, and Rosenberg SelfEsteem Scale. Specifically, the significant differences of test anxiety between preclinical and clinical students, the predictive relationship among personal self-concept, active procrastination, and test anxiety, moderating effect of gender in between personal self-concept and test anxiety, and mediating effect of explicit self-esteem in between active procrastination and test anxiety were investigated. SPSS version 22 and SmartPLS 2.0 were employed to analyse the data and build the model for path analysis. The results reveal that medical undergraduates experienced moderate level of test anxiety (M = 93.77, SD = 15.55), clinical students reported significantly higher test anxiety than pre-clinical students (t(498) = −2.30, p .05); and explicit self-esteem partially mediated the relationship between active procrastination and test anxiety (t-value = −3.89, p < .001). Interventions aimed at reducing the prevalence of test anxiety among medical students should consider methods that augment personal self-concept, self-esteem, and convert passive procrastination into active procrastination
Urban Malaysian Consumer's Purchase Intention on Eroticism in Fashion Advertisements
Many researchers had tried to answer the question “Does Sex Sell?”, as for this research, “Does Sex Sell in a multicultural environment?” will be answered. Implementing sex appeal or erotic appeal is straightforward in a single culture environment. Malaysia (Klang Valley) being a multicultural environment with great cultural diversity, such techniques must be used with caution. This research explores
the arousal concept and measurement on erotic print fashion advertisements and analyses its relationship with advertisement thoughts, advertisement attitude and
purchase intentions. This research studies how various level of arousal in the print advertisements will have an impact on these variables. Focus groups and survey
techniques were combined in the research methodology. The findings indicate that regardless of the arousal levels indicated in the advertisements, it had a strong impact
on all other variables. There was a similarity on how Malay and Indian consumers
perceive the advertisements. However, the attitude of Chinese consumers indicated to
be somewhat different. Results also suggested implications for advertisement design
and further research areas to enhance the study of erotic appeal
Roles and Contributions of Private Tertiary Education in Malaysia
It has been 62 years of nation building for Malaysia since 1957, and the tertiary education sector has been transformed tremendously. The legislative changes made in 1996 has changed the exclusiveness of public higher education delivery to their coexistence with the private higher education institutions. The higher education sector has been mushrooming into hundreds of public and private universities and colleges, operating together with approval of the Government. Over the last 40 years, this system has enabled a significant increase of Malaysians school graduates to have accessed to the tertiary education. The enrolment rates are approximately 44 per cent in comparison to 14 per cent in the 1970s and 1980s. Almost 1.3 million Malaysian youths are pursuing tertiary education now, of which 500,000 are enrolled in the 20 public universities and more than 600,000 are registered in PIHLs. The objective of this paper is to review and investigate the roles and contributions of private tertiary education to nation building in Malaysia, in the aspect of the human capital and economic development. This study adopts a qualitative approach with a focus on multiple cases of private institutes of higher learning (PIHL). The selected cases share a common characteristics in their alignment and compliance to the requirements as approved educational institutions in the country, and their pursuance to be sustainable and relevant to all stakeholders. The findings also show that PIHLs have contributed substantially to the nation's education sector, such as prudent spending in quality facility, offering specialized courses, reduce burden of the Government and collaborate well with reputable international universities. Further to that, graduates from the PIHLs are able to bridge the gap of the increasing global demand for higher education, and the needs for a highly skilled workforce for the knowledge economy
