Decision Support System for Determining Inventory and Sales of Goods Using Economic Order Quantity Methods and Linear Regression
Inventory control and sales are important
activities for the company to run. Errors in determining
the inventory of goods can cause swelling in operational
costs so that the company experiences losses. To overcome
this problem, a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed
that can help make decisions in determining inventory and
sales of goods. In this case, the researcher uses the
Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) EOQ provides a
reference regarding the number of purchases or orders of
goods with minimum cost. Meanwhile, to determine the
number of future sales, researchers used the Linear
Regression method, which looks at the relationship
between sales as a response variable and the sales period
as a predictor variable. The results of this study can be
used to estimate the amount of quantity each time order of goods and predict the number of sales in the next period
TOPSIS Method on Selection of New Employees' Acceptance
A hospital is a labor-intensive organization that
requires many personnel and professions from various
disciplines. Employees are one of the determinants of the success of a company. One way that agencies use to obtain qualified employees is by making a selection at the time of employee recruitment. The problem that is often encountered is that parttime employee selection is calculated objectively so that it is less
efficient and accurate in the selection process. Decision support systems with the TOPSIS method are considered suitable to assist the personnel section of the public Hospital in selecting prospective part-time employees. TOPSIS is a multicriteria decision-making method based on a concept where the chosen alternative has the closest distance from a positive ideal solution and also has the farthest distance from a negative ideal solution. The completion criteria applied to the selection of employees include the results of written tests, psychological tests, health tests, and interviews. The results of the tests show that the TOPSIS method can be used well in selecting and sorting from the largest to the smallest value with an accuracy rate of 85% in

Relationship Between Rater and Customer Loyalty: Customer Satisfaction as Mediator, Income and Education as Moderators in Private Hospitals in Malaysia.
Service quality is the key to gaining a competitive advantage, thus leading to a substantially reputable organization. The relationship of service quality with customer satisfaction and customer loyalty is the phenomenon of interest in this study because of
the importance of retaining customers in comparison to gaining new ones. The purpose of the present study is to understand the relationship between service quality
dimensions (RATER) and customer loyalty of the private healthcare industry in Malaysia, and examine the role of customer satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship
between RATER and customer loyalty. Further, the moderating effect of education and income of private healthcare customers on the relationship between customer
satisfaction and loyalty is examined. The present research adopted a positivism paradigm, applying a cross-sectional quantitative research methodology to gain insight from private healthcare customers of
various education and income levels. The sampling frame of this study was 10 private hospitals in Malaysia selected from 137 private hospitals registered under the
Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM) using the random-lottery method technique. 419 customers of private hospitals were surveyed on service
quality, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Prior to data collection, a pilot study was conducted to test the questionnaire developed for its validity and reliability even though the items used are well-established. Descriptive and inference analyses
were carried out using SPSS version 23 and Variance based PLS-SEM in ADANCO 2.1 to run the analyses. The reliability and validity of the items used to address the
hypotheses postulated for the present study were tested using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). SEM outcome resulted in 9 out of 14 hypotheses supported. The results indicate that
customer satisfaction is influenced by all five dimensions of service quality, whereas
customer loyalty is influenced only by service responsiveness and service empathy. The
research found customer satisfaction is not a mediator between service quality and customer loyalty. The result also indicated that the income level of private healthcare customers does not moderate the relationship between satisfaction and loyalty; however, the customers’ education status did. These findings will allow managers and marketers to embark on strategies relevant to service quality dimensions to promote satisfaction and loyalty and noted education is crucial in converting satisfied customers into loyal customers. The current study suggests marketers improve on creating awareness of the RATER related services in their establishment

Relationship of Creativity and Critical Thinking to Pattern Recognition Among Singapore Private School Students.
Cognitive pattern recognition is known to be an important skill for academic subjects such as mathematics, science, languages, or even humanities. In this study, we investigate the relationships between creativity, critical thinking, and pattern recognition among 203 private school students, in Singapore. The instruments used include a creativity test (modified Creativity Selected Elements Questionnaire), a Critical Thinking Test (modified Cornell Critical Thinking), and a pattern recognition test. The main data analysis is done using the SMART-PLS structural equation modeling software. The results of the study reveal that creativity is a weak predictor of pattern recognition (b¼0.131, p>0.05, f2 ¼ 0.024) but critical thinking is a good predictor (b¼0.517, p<0.05, f2 ¼ 0.374). An implication of the research outcome is that more training on critical thinking should be given to the students to improve their pattern recognition ability
Determinants of Employee Deviance in Malaysian Emergency Services Mediated by Job Satisfaction.
Employee deviance has turned out to be one of the most complex issues suffers by organizations as this issue is inherently associated with business and human costs. The business costs of employee deviance including bad publicity, lost work time, increased insurance premiums and etc. Recent years in Malaysia, employees of Malaysia‘s Emergency Services were highlighted by local newspapers that their employees are involved in incidents of crime, such as abusing power, withheld aid for flood victims, and illicit acts. Several incidents were apprehended in the General Audit reports. These incidences prompted a thorough investigation to address the theory and practical gaps. Data were collected from employees of Malaysia‘s Emergency Services. The statistical analysis methods used in this study were descriptive statistics (i.e. mean, standard deviation, and percentage) and inferential statistics (i.e. t-Test, ANOVA, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study have revealed that procedural justice, perceived organizational support, time stress and job satisfaction are significant predictors of interpersonal deviance. Next, time stress, distributive justice, procedural justice, perceived organizational support, negative affect, and jobs satisfaction are significant predictors of organizational deviance. Prevention
of employee deviant behaviors help to boost positive branding and enhances transformation of emergency services organizations

A Critical Analysis of Offset Agreements and Technological Innovation in Brazilian Defense Industrial Base
Offset agreements are claimed to enhance technological innovation in defense industrial base (DIB). This thesis aims to investigate the relationship between offset agreements and technological innovation in Brazilian DIB. Literature reveals that the topic offset agreements
is controversial when a technological innovation approach is taken in consideration and the results are country specific. Brazilian Ministry of Defense offset agreements policy is new, having started in 2000’s and with a considered budget to be invested in equipment purchase in
the next years. The research was conducted by using mixed methodology combining quantitative and qualitative data, both collected and analyzed at the same time. Quantitative data were obtained with an adapted questionnaire distributed to national defense industrial base and analyzed using Partial Least Squares method. A new model, able to measure the relationship between offset agreements and technological innovation, was developed and tested. Interviews with key informants provided the qualitative data that was coded and
analyzed with NVivo software. The results of the study shows that from both analysis, five indicators (co-production, licensed production, subcontracted production, investments and technology transfer) were considered significant to offset agreements related to technological innovation in DIB for Brazil’s context. These results contribute to the theory of offset
agreements providing a measurable model related to technological innovation, and have implications to practice including Brazilian DIB and policy makers. It was concluded that offset agreements have a positive relationship with technological innovation in Brazilian DIB and technology transfer is one of the main contributors to this
