The purpose of the study was to evaluate the role of reputational risk on the performance of banks in Pakistan. For this research, the data was collected through the primary quantitative technique where the survey was conducted from the 100 bank managers of Pakistan. The data was analysed through correlation and regression analysis using SPSS software. The findings of the study state that reliability and integrity have a negative and insignificant influence over bank performance. While on the other hand, quality of financial product and services are found to have positive and significant influence on bank performance which suggests that an increase in the quality of financial product leads to an increase in Pakistani banks' performance. Further, Customer care has also been found to have positive and significant influence on bank performance. The study has certain limitations such as the sample size which is small and data generalizability can be an issue. Furthermore, the secondary data was not used as there is no such reputation index of Pakistan. Therefore, the future studies can consider various risk factors in evaluating their effect on bank performance. Further, future research can be considered developing reputation index for Banks using secondary quantitative data

Relationship among Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, Employee Loyalty and Employee Retention in the Sri Lankan Banking Industry

    Get PDF
Workforce intention to resign is significantly influenced by factors such as job satisfaction and loyalty. Banks in Sri Lanka need to keep their most valuable assets as employees. The purpose of this empirical research is to investigate the relationship between contentment in one's work, dedication to one's organisation, loyalty to one's employer, and job retention in the banking industry in Sri Lanka. Participants come from a wide range of departments and levels within the banking industry. Relationships between variables of interest may be discovered via quantitative data analysis by using statistical methods like correlation analysis as well as regression modelling. Employees who are happy in their jobs are more likely to be dedicated to their companies, according to preliminary research. An engaged workforce is more likely to show loyalty to their employers, and there is a significant correlation between organisational commitment as well as employee loyalty. This study was conducted to determine the elements that influence the workforce's desire to resign among employees of a Sri Lankan banking industry and to examine the relationships between employees' job satisfaction, loyalty decisions, organisational commitment, and resignation intention. 393 randomly chosen banking employees from Sri Lanka were involved in this study. To gather information about the degree of job satisfaction, motivation, and resignation intention, a demographic questionnaire was used. The study's findings showed that all constructs—namely, job satisfaction, motivation, anatomy, and organisational commitment—have a negative link with the intention to leave one's job, which is consistent with other research. Employee loyalty is also investigated as a potential moderator of the connection between organisational commitment as well as employee retention. The preliminary findings point to the importance of employee loyalty as a mediator in the choice of workers to remain with their organisations over the long term. The significance of encouraging work satisfaction and organisational commitment to increase employee loyalty and, hence, improve staff retention rates is highlighted by these results for the Sri Lankan banking sector. Banks may save money on hiring new workers and time and effort spent training current workers if they focus on increasing job satisfaction and fostering a healthy company culture. The study has several caveats, as any other research does, such as the possibility of response bias as well as the fact that it only looks at the banking business in Sri Lanka. Research in the future might broaden its focus to include other sectors and examine a wider range of potential variables that affect staff retention. However, this research adds to the available literature about employee retention in the banking industry of Sri Lanka and provides useful insights for the management of human resources techniques to boost employee engagement as well as loyalty

This research investigates the intricate dynamics of house purchase decisions in Tangerang City, Banten, Indonesia, with a specific emphasis on the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing R-Square (R2) and Predictive Relevance (Q2) analyses, the study aims to comprehensively assess the influence of independent variables on dependent variables, shedding light on the determinants and implications of purchasing decisions during these extraordinary times. The R-Square analysis, facilitated by SmartPLS, discloses that collectively, Ownership Determinants (X1), Service Excellence (X2), and Change in Purchase Intention (X3) account for 12.9% of the variability in Purchase Decisions (Y). The noteworthy finding emphasizes the need for a holistic understanding of factors influencing home purchasing, as the remaining 87.1% is attributed to unexplored constructs. The Predictive Relevance Value Test (Q2) fortifies the model's robustness, with a Q2 value of 0.051 for the Purchase Decision construct, affirming the predictive validity of exogenous variables in anticipating observed values. Hypothesis testing is executed to scrutinize the relationships between variables. The results affirm that Ownership Determinants significantly enhance both Purchase Decisions and Purchase Intentions. Conversely, Service Excellence demonstrates a noteworthy positive impact on Purchase Intentions but exhibits a statistically insignificant negative impact on Purchase Decisions. These empirical findings underscore the pivotal role of Ownership Determinants in shaping purchase intentions and decisions, offering practical insights into the intricacies of the property market during the COVID-19 pandemic. In conclusion, this research enriches our understanding of property market dynamics in the challenging context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The empirical results provide actionable implications for refining marketing strategies, elevating customer experience, and adapting to evolving environmental factors, thereby contributing to more informed policy support

    Get PDF
The development of information technology in Indonesia has advanced in tandem with its increased usage in the industrial and SMEs sectors. Implementation of IT has become a necessity in order to enhance the quality of these sectors. Institutionally, this is essential to ensure affordable access and quality when it comes to managing performance. However, in reality, the use of IT among the SMEs is still considered low and this is said due to the readiness of users in IT utilization. To examine these phenomena, this study was conducted to determine the level of readiness of users in the SMEs sector towards the utilization of information technology by adopting a pre-existing model. The objective of the research was to evaluate and assess the factors that impact the level of readiness in IT utilization among SMEs on Java Island. The research model was built by adopting, combining, and adapting the technology readiness and adoption models with regards to selected theories. Methodologically, a quantitative approach was implemented throughout the research. The research took a survey of SMEs in Indonesia that were scattered across various points of the Java Island. Samples were taken from SMEs that had implemented IT in their companies, decided by the purposive sampling method and reaching 407 respondents. Valid surveys of the results response were then analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The findings of the research prove that the use of IT in SMEs must be accompanied by a degree of technology readiness as it has an influence on the effects of its utilization. This research also produces a new model, namely the modified adoption model of information technology utilization for SMEs on Java Island

This research covered the literature in Malaysian bond market and global bond market. This research adopted a mixed-method approach as suggested in literature. Sample of 201 respondents were considered based on Krejcie and Morgan's sample size formula. Non-random sampling technique was adopted to select the samples. Atlas.ti is used for the qualitative analysis while SmartPLS was used for the quantitative analysis. Mind mapping, word cloud and mind tree were part of qualitative analysis. Structural and measurement model were executed in quantitative analysis. The study's six hypotheses are all positive, and the results show that ESG financing can positively impact the economic development of Malaysia. This research provides insights and recommendations for policymakers, investors, and financial institutions to leverage ESG financing for sustainable economic growth in Malaysia.
