No full textResumen:Este artículo tiene por objeto revalorizar otro escrito que en 1973 escribió el P. Avelino Ignacio Gómez Ferreyra SJ (†). En aquella ocasión se cumplían doscientos años de la supresión del Instituto Ignaciano y el P. Avelino daba a conocer una traducción de un documento que encontró en la residencia del antiguo Colegio de San Ignacio (Córdoba-Argentina) que no era ni más ni menos que una copia de la famosa “retracción”. Hoy sabemos que existen muchas copias y que se duda de su autenticidad. Pero el análisis y el aporte sustancial del P. Avelino es su traducción, en aquella época poco difundida, pero que indudablemente puede ampliar el campo de estudio a los hispano parlantes.Palabras clave: P. Avelino, retracción, Clemente XIV, jesuitas.Abstract:This article aims to enhance other writing who in 1973 wrote the P. Avelino Ignacio Gómez Ferreyra SJ (†). On that occasion they met two hundred years of the abolition of the Ignatian Institute and P. Avelino was released a translation of a document that is found in the residence of the former Colegio de San Ignacio (retical) which was neither more nor less than a copy of the famous "retraction". Today, we know that there are many copies and that there are doubts its authenticity. The analysis and the substantial contribution of Fr. Avelino is its translation, at that time little diffused, but which can undoubtedly improve the field of study to the Spanish-speaking.Keywords: P. Avelino, retraction, Clement XIV, Jesuit

Una exploración historiográfica sobre la iglesia católica y la religión en Venezuela
No full textWith the objective of raising a state of the art on the religious field in Venezuela from the perspective of the social sciences -history, anthropology and sociology-, the author makes a chronological tour on the diverse stages of the investigative production, mainly national. From the analysis of bibliohemerographic sources and their contextualization, he marks the three main milestones, marking the characteristics of its textual production, through the demand of religious and academic institutions: 1. Historical predominance of the missionary and clerical perspective, 2. The socio-political turn of ecclesial understanding and the social question, 3. The historical revision of Catholicism in Latin America. Based on documentary exploration, it proposes some tentative conclusions, aware of the difficulties involved in the situation of the country, the demographic changes underway, and the fragility of academic research with its limited dissemination mechanisms.Con el objetivo de levantar un estado del arte sobre el campo religioso en Venezuela desde la perspectiva de las ciencias sociales –historia, antropología y sociología–, el autor hace un recorrido cronológico sobre las diversas etapas de la producción investigativa, principalmente nacional. A partir del análisis de las fuentes bibliohemerográficas y su contextualización marca los tres hitos principales, marcando las características de su producción textual, por mediación de la demanda de las instituciones religiosas y académicas: 1. Predominio histórico de la perspectiva misionera y clerical, 2. El giro sociopolítico de la comprensión eclesial y la cuestión social, 3. La revisión histórica del catolicismo en América Latina. Basado en la exploración documental propone unas conclusiones provisionales, consciente de las dificultades que entraña la situación del país, los cambios demográficos en marcha, y la fragilidad de la investigación académica con sus limitados mecanismos de difusión
