The Peasant Papers’ Editorial and News-Column Priorities: A Study of Weekly Sindhi Hurryet, 1950-1952
This article examines the projection of peasants and rural peoples’ problems in editorials and selective news columns published in one of the lead peasants’ newspapers Weekly Sindhi Hurryet, Karachi, from 1950-1952. It also unpacks the interplay between the editorials and columns to cover the broader beats and enhance the scope of the newspaper. The study exposes that what were problems of peasants, rural dwellers in the formative years of Pakistan, and how newspaper understudy craftily presented them before the policymakers, politicians, and readers. Findings show through editorials that the performance of the Sindh Government was not up to the marking period of study. However, in the news columns, the crime in rural areas reported higher than other issues. Overall, the tone of the editorials’ content is found informative. Although, news columns language inclined towards complaining against the government and its departments
The Portrayal of Infrastructure Development in Prominent Dailies of Pakistan Regarding Rural Areas of Sindh (Comparative Analysis of Daily Dawn and Express)
This paper examines the role of the media in portraying infrastructure projects in rural areas of Sindh, Pakistan. In development projects, media play an important role to develop any society. How Pakistani print media promote infrastructure development of the rural areas of Sindh through content and how print media tackling the developmental projects. For this purpose, two leading newspapers Daily DAWN (English) and Daily EXPRESS (Urdu) were selected as sample. The study employed content analysis-a quantitative research methodology of news published in Daily Dawn and Daily Express during a period of three months i.e. from January 2017 to March 2017. The findings of the study depict that Daily Dawn gives more coverage/space to Physical Infrastructure Development of Rural Areas of Sindh but more space needs to be allocated to infrastructural development issues

The Inclination of Trend Following of Youth of Pakistan on Social Media
This research study has done to identify the impact of latest trend following running over social media on the life of youth and to investigate the major factors behind the addictive following habits of social media trends by the youth of Pakistan and what kind of effects they have to face on various aspects of their lives due to this much consumption of social media activities also to check out the ratio of social media latest trend following by the youth. In this research paper, the researcher has applied Quantitative type of methodology to conduct this study. The researcher has selected Pakistan as the universe of the study and the sample size is 80. The data has collected in the manner of survey forms filled by the youth who belonged to different cities and places of Pakistan; aged from 15 to 30. This research study raises major points related to the extreme following of social media trends which includes the less sleeping time, impacts on real life relationships and disturbance in routine works. As this research study is based on Quantitative methodology, the data has collected by doing survey in the form of a well-designed questionnaire which were sent randomly to the youngsters by means of online in order to know their point of views about the latest social media trend followings and to get the accurate results with the help of using SPSS software. The researcher has tried to clear each and every point in an easy, formal and matured way. The data has collected in a fair and authentic manner without any involvement of biasness and objectivity from the researcher
Role of TV Kitchen Programs for Highlighting Advertisement (Comparative Analysis of Food Dairies and Zakir’s Kitchen)
Television performs a great role in switching the consumer behavior. It provides new patterns for purchasing and consuming any sort of goods and services. It is an effective way to attract the consumers through advertisement that the certain product willbe a little more satisfactory for them. The objective of this study is to find out the role of Cooking Programs in highlighting advertisements. This study examines which TV cooking show does more advertising during cooking show? Study contains content analysis of two famous TV cooking programs, one of them is Chef Zakir’s “Zakir’s Kitchen”, and other is Chef Zarnak Sidhwa’s “Food Diaries”. In content analysis method researcher selected 20 shows, by selecting 10, 10 episodes of each program. According to collected data it was found that during the cooking show Chef Zarnak Sidhwa presented more advertisements as compare Chef Zarkir
Coverage of Science and Technology on Opinion Pages of Leading Dailies
We live in a modern world which is full with a lot of inventions and techniques. Our lives are largely facilitated by scientific inventions. Media is also a byproduct of scientific inventions i.e. printing press, radio, television, internet etc. The connection of media and the society is of huge importance. Media is a mirror image of the society which represents the overall picture of society. Beside this the media educate and inform the people about certain realities and different spheres of society. In today’s world we largely depend on science and technology and also very much aware of the point that how crucial is the science in economical development of the country. Being an underdeveloped country we need to focus more on science and technology and for this our media has to play a decisive role of opinion maker. Through extensive coverage to science and technology sector we may be able to construct a scientific culture in our society which will resultantly be helpful to achieve the goal of knowledge economy. This study has examined the role of media specifically print media through measuring the frequency of coverage it give to science and technology on opinion pages. As Pakistan is a developing country and the majority of population generally understand national language so it is worth mentioning that the role of media is to ascertained through classification of Urdu and English print media. In this study we have chosen one year publications i.e. 360 editions of the year 2017 of two newspapers, one Urdu and one English to analyze the trend of media that which language gives more coverage to science and technology news, resultantly, it will be helpful for us to construct an appropriate opinion regarding media coverage of science and technology
