Poziomy funkcjonowania dychotomii w filmie Wygnanie Andrieja Zwiagincewa
The aim of this article is to show how the levels of dichotomy function in the artistic world of The Banishment, directed by Andrei Zvyagintsev. We try to put emphasis on the Zvyagintsev’s artistic method, to show that said idea works on several levels. We are convinced that the idea of duality is present in The Banishment as externally (for example motif of split in the family) as well as internally (the category of the doppelgänger). The aim of this article is to show how the levels of dichotomy function in the artistic world of The Banishment, directed by Andrei Zvyagintsev. Tradycja bizantyjska i jej wpływ na kulturę rosyjską w myśli Konstantina Leontjewa
The present article amounts to an attempt to analyze the Byzantine tradition in the work Byzantinism and the Slavs by Konstantin Leontiev. The thinker finds the heritage of Eastern Christianity an immanent part of the Russian national identity. Moreover, the philosopher defines Byzantinism as a type of culture with centralized power in the hands of the Romanovs. Consequently, Leontiev depicts particular stages of the evolution of this power model in Russia. The author of the paper concludes that the thinker’s considerations are centered on the emphasis on the role of monarchy in contemporary Russia rather than on its Byzantine roots. Герменевтические подступы к русской литературе
The article is devoted to the search for a new space in the methodological studies on Russian literature. The author takes as its basis the method of hermeneutics of words by Vardan Hayrapetyan. Especially the basic categories such as the world man (homo mundi), the Other and its variants: the self (rus. самость), otherness (rus. другость), the alien (rus. чужесть) and two triads, which postulate two types of intellectual situations. In this regard, the author identifies the concept of the hybrid man of the hero of Russian literature in which a small person is a representative of an impersonal collective personality of the world man, home, family, ideas, etc. The author demonstrates the type of a hybrid man on the example of the protagonist of the novel by Vasily Shukshin Stepan Razin. The article is devoted to the search for a new space in the methodological studies on Russian literature. Moskiewska „czernucha”. Wstydliwa strona miasta?
The article is an attempt to answer the question of the way noir functions in the contemporary prose devoted to Moscow and the extent to which it affects the city’s literary image. The paper interprets selected works by Vladimir Sorokin, Roman Senchin and Sergei Kuznetsov. The analysis conducted by the author of the paper leads to the conclusion that the presence of the so-called “black naturalism” in the Moscow texts does not spoil the image of Russia’s capital, but complements it with new elements (previously hidden, but present since the old days). Therefore, Moscow becomes more real, tangible, flesh and blood as well as suitable for the worldwide tendency to create megapolises. The article is an attempt to answer the question of the way noir functions in the contemporary prose devoted to Moscow and the extent to which it affects the city’s literary image. «Вечные темы» в юмористических рассказах Аркадия Аверченко
The paper describes the early period of Averchenko’s work. His stories were based on hilarious topics, humour and caricatures. The writer used all this means of expression very freely, easily, with a gentle tact and power of conviction, and what is even more important, with humour and wittily. During this period, he chose topics focused on a common big city life, stories of ordinary people, “new” trends in art, always up-to-date topic of man and woman, as well as relations between fathers and their children. Showing the portrait of a common citizen, the satirists laughed at defects of the contemporary world. This is how the particular humour Averchenko’s manifested. The paper describes the early period of Averchenko’s work. His stories were based on hilarious topics, humour and caricatures. Od „dna” ku „denku”. Postmodernistyczna aktualizacja dramatu M. Gorkiego
Contemporary Russian drama is situated in a dialogue with literary and more precisely dramatic tradition. For example, this thesis clearly confirms a comedy by Igor Shpric On the bottom. The text at the level of its title refers to Maxim Gorky\u27s play The Lower Depths. Shpric’s comedy parodies this work by presentingGorky\u27s characters in the social and cultural context of contemporary reality. The main purpose of the paper is the intertextual analysis and interpretation of ironic Shpric’s comedy as the transcontextualization of language, poetics, themes, plot and characters ofGorky\u27s text.Contemporary Russian drama is situated in a dialogue with literary and more precisely dramatic tradition.
