Certain expansion formulae of incomplete II-functions associated with the Leibniz rule

    Get PDF
In this paper, we determine some expansion formulae of the incomplete I-functions in affiliation with the Leibniz rule for the Riemann-Liouville type derivatives. Further, expansion formulae of the incomplete I\overline{I}-function, incomplete H\overline{H}-function, and incomplete H-function are conferred as extraordinary instances of our primary outcomes

    Generalized discrete operators

We define a class of discrete operators that, in particular, include the delta and nabla fractional operators. Moreover, we prove the fundamental theorem of calculus for these operators

A Study of Moroccan University EFL Learners’ Pragmatic Failure: The Case of Using Expressive Speech Acts

    Get PDF
This study aims at investigating Moroccan University EFL learners’ pragmatic failures while using expressive speech acts in their oral communication. It examines pragmatic failure committed by Moroccan university EFL students at the level of trying to communicate and express their feelings, state of pleasure, ideas, and psychological attitudes. It further discusses the main sources of the pragmatic failures and provides suggestions for college English teaching.  The data are collected and measured quantitatively by means of a multiple choice questionnaire and qualitatively by means of interviewing. That is, the study combines two research methods for more valid and credible data findings. The paper findings showed that the vast majority of subjects committed pragmatic failures across the five given situations and few were pragmatically successful. Therefore, our participants’ responses confirmed that university students are pragmatically incompetent and this would prevent them from expressing themselves successfully in spite of the fact that they may be grammatically competent. The results also showed that a considerable number of students are unable to identify expressions used in formal and informal situations

IMPACT OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF SELECTED BANKS IN INDIA: BASED ON CAMEL MODEL

    Get PDF
The concept of CSR has been witnessing a sharply rising trend since last decade.  From a subject of interest mainly for the academicians, it has now emerged as a strategic corporate practice adopted both by the banking and non-banking institutions. CSR is purely based on the philanthropy on voluntary basis on the part of the organization, aiming to contribute towards the well-being of all its stakeholders, including the environment, to attain sustainable development. India is the first country in the world to render it mandatory for the companies fulfilling specific criteria, to spend a minimal percentage of 2% of their average net profits of last three preceding financial year. Indian commercial banks play a crucial role in contributing towards the growth of Indian economy as a whole. These banks, public and private, both have been incurring expenditure on CSR. Most of the researches are showing that the companies who operate in a socially responsible manner are experiencing better financial results in terms of increased profitability. The present paper is an attempt to examine the impact of CSR on the financial performance of the commercial banks of India, based on CAMEL Model, using Return on Assets (ROA) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) as performance indicators. The sample of 16 banks where considered for seven years period from 2015-2021 and STATA 15 was employed for panel data evaluation. The results show that there exists a positive correlation between the independent variables (CSR, Capital adequacy ratio, Liquid Assets to Total Assets, Total Loan to Total Assets and Total Deposit to Total Assets) and dependent variables (ROA and NIM)

Investigation of a Class of Implicit Anti-Periodic Boundary Value Problems

    Get PDF
This research is devoted to studying a class of implicit fractional order differential equations (FODEs\mathrm{FODEs}) under anti-periodic boundary conditions (APBCs\mathrm{APBCs}). With the help of classical fixed point theory due to Schauder\mathrm{Schauder} and Banach\mathrm{Banach}, we derive some adequate results about the existence of at least one solution. Moreover, this manuscript discusses the concept of stability results including Ulam-Hyers (HU) stability, generalized Hyers-Ulam (GHU) stability, Hyers-Ulam Rassias (HUR) stability, and generalized Hyers-Ulam- Rassias (GHUR)stability. Finally, we give three examples to illustrate our results

In this paper, we establish a fixed point theorem for controlled rectangular bb-metric spaces for mappings that satisfy (ψ,ϕ)(\psi, \phi)-contractive mappings. Also, we give an application of our results as an integral equation

Modeling the impact of campaign program on the prevalence of anemia in children under five: Anemia model

    No full text
Anemia, a global health problem, is increasing worldwide and affecting both developed and developingcountries. Being a blood disorder, anemia may occur in any stages of life but it is quite common in childrenunder the age of five. Globally, iron deficiency is the supreme contributor towards the onset of anemia. In thispaper, a general model based on the dynamics of anemia among children under five is formulated. The populationis divided in three classes such as susceptible, affected and treated. A time-dependent control measurenamely campaign program is considered. The model has an equilibrium point and the stability of the pointis analyzed. Moreover, sensitivity of the equilibrium point is also performed to discover the critical parameters.Numerical simulations are carried out to observe the dynamic behavior of the model. Results showthat campaign program is effective in minimizing the disease progression. The number of child patients andyearly deaths significantly decrease with accelerated campaign program that is implemented earlier whereastermination of the applied measure may upturn the burden. Findings also reveal that application of controlmeasure helps to reduce the prevalence of anemia but may not eliminate the disease

Moroccan High School EFL Teachers’ Attitudes and Anxiety on Using Microsoft Teams Platform

    Get PDF
The world has witnessed major changes in delivery modes in education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Being no exception, Morocco declared a full lockdown in March 2020, and this resulted in the use of online platforms to cope with the new situation. The platform that was adopted by the Moroccan Ministry of Education was Microsoft Teams (MT). Hence, the current paper investigated Moroccan high school EFL teachers’ use of the platform accounting for their age, gender, anxiety, and attitudes towards the platform. For this aim, a questionnaire adapted from Computer Anxiety Rating Scale (CARS) by Heinssen et al. (1987) was distributed to 171 EFL teachers working in different public high schools belonging to the academy of Casablanca/Settat. Results revealed that the participants’ attitudes towards the usability of the platform were negatively associated with their years of experience, and their general anxiety and power and control of the platform negatively affected the time they spent on the platform. The findings imply that anxiety should be taken into consideration as an integral component in further implementation of technology in education

Some Ostrowski Type Integral Inequalities using Hypergeometric Functions

    Get PDF
The main objective of this paper is basically to acquire some new extensions of Ostrowski type inequalities for the function whose first derivatives' absolute value are ss--type pp--convex. We initially presented a new auxiliary definition namely ss--type pp--convex function. Some beautiful algebraic properties and examples related to the newly introduced definition are discussed. We additionally investigated some beautiful cases that can be derived from the novel refinements of the paper. These new results yield us some generalizations of the prior results. We trust that the techniques introduced in this paper will further motivate intrigued researchers

Time Fractional Generalized Korteweg-de Vries Equation: Explicit Series Solutions and Exact Solutions

    Get PDF
In this article, an attempt is made to achieve the series solution of the time fractional generalized Korteweg-de Vries equation which leads to a conditionally convergent series solution. We have also resorted to another technique involving conversion of the given fractional partial differential equations to ordinary differential equations by using fractional complex transform. This technique is discussed separately for modified Riemann-Liouville and conformable derivatives. Convergence analysis and graphical view of the obtained solution are demonstrated in this work
