Full text linkThe research group “Tradition, writing and critical thinking in Manuel González Prada’s work”, at the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University, is a space for sharing and discussing today’s different perspectives about the Peruvian writer. In the year in which the Bicentenary of Peru’s Independence is remembered and in which many are still living the consequences of a pandemic, its members provide us readings on the criticism of the establishment, the relation between the French Revolution and the Bicentenary, the Christian imperative, and the creation of the modern public.El grupo de investigación “Tradición, escritura y pensamiento crítico en la obra de Manuel González Prada”, de la Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya, es un espacio para compartir y discutir las distintas perspectivas que hoy existen sobre el escritor peruano. Full text linkThis article analizes the environmental crisis starting off the dislocation from the truth of being as its cause, reviewing how ancient and modern thinking has always touched the key scenery where the posibility for a solution yields: the knowledge of the human soul and its interaction with the rest of the forces upon which it depends. It confronts the neverending war, which configures the direction of the states and international diplomacy, as well as the individualistic tendency in global economy, which inevitably lead to production and consumption patterns focused only in the reproduction of capital, that threaten life itself today, to conclude that within collective though is born the only hope to safeguard life on planet earth.Este artículo analiza la crisis medioambiental partiendo del desarraigamiento de la verdad del ser como su causal, revisando cómo la reflexión antigua y moderna ha tocado siempre el escenario clave donde yace la posibilidad de una solución: el conocimiento del alma humana y su interacción con el resto de fuerzas de las que depende. Full text linkThe path to equal political representation and participation for women started at the beginning of the republic and continues until today. The present article addresses two important elements of women’s political participation: voting and female presence in political elites, particularly in Parliament. An intersectional perspective will be used that sees women not only since her condition as women, but in conjunction with other elements of oppression that, interrelated, have given certain women different levels of political participation throughout the republican life of Peru. Hence, different steps in the access to voting and to parliamentary representation will be analyzed.El camino de las mujeres por una participación política paritaria y representativa comenzó a inicios de la vida republicana y continúa hasta el día de hoy. En el presente artículo, se analizarán dos componentes importantes de la participación política femenina: el voto y su presencia en las élites políticas, específicamente en el parlamento. Esta mirada se hará desde una perspectiva interseccional que busca ver a la mujer no solo desde su condición de género, sino unida a otros elementos de opresión que, interrelacionados, le han dado a diferentes mujeres mayor o menor participación política a lo largo de la vida republicana. Por lo tanto, las diferentes etapas del acceso al voto y a la representación parlamentaria serán analizadas

Cuestiones de física, metafísica y arte en el teatro: (Crítica a Antonin Artaud)
Full text linkSince the remote times of the Attica tragedy in Greece, the theatrer is and has always been movement, this being an essential characteristic of organic beings, that is, of those endowed with life. However, there is a risk of replacing its natural mechanics with metaphysics, when this is not coherent even in hypothesis. It is possible to demonstrate the dissimilarities of the theater with the scholastic, idealistic, or Hindu doctrines, and its compatibility with atoms, electrons and the laws of physics, subjecting its concepts to epistemological rigor. Artistic creation is born from the human psyche, even though it is not material in the first instance, but later it takes on its definitive qualitative form. To do this, it goes through several types of censorship, both physical and psychological, seeking to express itself through that language in which the different dramatic genres are communicated, making known its situation of crisis without return, which is debated between cruelty and violence.
Antonin Artaud intricates Kabbalistic ideas into the theater and does not seek to contrast them with logical argumentation. The evidence shows that, if there is a unity, it is that of the theater with the physical. The physical is its true “double”. A succinct but concise historical review, well lavished with documentation and based on the precepts erected by dialectical materialism, will give us the certainty that theater belongs exclusively to the physical world, not only in practice, but also in essence, and this is the matter, being only metaphysics an improbable stage within it.Desde los remotos tiempos de la tragedia Ática en Grecia, el teatro es y ha sido siempre movimiento, siendo este una característica esencial de los seres orgánicos, es decir, de los dotados de vida. No obstante, se corre el riesgo de reemplazar su mecánica natural con metafísica, cuando ello no es coherente ni siquiera en hipótesis. Cabe demostrar las disimilitudes del teatro con las doctrinas escolásticas, idealistas, o hinduistas, y su compatibilidad con los átomos, electrones y las leyes de la física, sometiendo sus conceptos al rigor epistemológico. La creación artística nace del psiquismo humano, aun no siendo material en primera instancia, pero ya luego cobra su forma cualitativa definitiva. Para ello atraviesa por varios tipos de censura, tanto física como psicológica, buscando expresarse mediante el lenguaje en que se comunican los distintos géneros dramáticos, dando a conocer su situación de crisis sin retorno, esa que se debate entre crueldad y violencia.
Antonin Artaud intrinca al teatro las ideas cabalísticas y no busca contrastarlas con argumentación lógica. La evidencia demuestra que, si es que hay una unidad, esa es la del teatro con lo físico. Lo físico es su verdadero “doble”. Un sucinto pero conciso repaso histórico, bien prodigado de documentación y basado en los preceptos erigidos por el materialismo dialectico, nos dará la certeza de que el teatro pertenece exclusivamente al mundo físico, no solo en la práctica, sino también en esencia, y esta es la materia, siendo solo la metafísica un estadio improbable dentro de ella

Full text linkIn this article I reflect on the roots of the challenges that Peru faces, having completed two hundred years of republican life. For this purpose, I propose an analysis of the antecedents of South American independences, linking the economic and political sense of the two liberating currents that arrived in Peru. Finally, to conclude that these projects had limitations that explain the identity of our current republic.En este artículo, realizo una reflexión en torno a las raíces de los desafíos que enfrenta el Perú al haber cumplido doscientos años de vida republicana. Para este propósito, propongo un análisis de los antecedentes de las independencias sudamericanas, vinculando el sentido económico y político de las dos corrientes libertadoras que llegaron al Perú para concluir, finalmente, que estos proyectos tuvieron limitaciones que explican la identidad de nuestra actual república

Full text linkThis essay offers some context and annotations of an interesting and curious booklet entitled Galileo Galilei, filósofo y matemático written by Juan Vásquez de Acuña and published in Lima in 1650. This writing represents an interesting scientific testimony about the intellectual relations between Europeans and Americans at a time of very close interconnections between the two continents and during the scientific revolution. The text is also a curious testimony of a community of Peruvians attentive to scientific changes and capable of commenting, criticising and proposing other scientific perspectives.Este ensayo contextualiza y propone algunas anotaciones de un interesante y curioso opúsculo titulado Galileo Galilei, filósofo y matemático escrito por Juan Vásquez de Acuña y publicado en Lima el año 1650. Este escrito representa un testimonio científico interesante sobre las relaciones intelectuales entre los europeos y los americanos en una época álgida de interconexiones muy estrechas entre ambos continentes y en medio de la revolución científica. Asimismo, el texto es un testimonio curioso de una comunidad de peruanos atentos a los cambios científicos y capaces de comentar, criticar y proponer otras perspectivas científicas

Full text linkThe commemoration of the bicentennial of the independence of Peru is an opportunity to reflect, from a historical-ecclesiological approach, on the trajectory of the Catholic Church in the last 200 years in Peru. The historical approach analyses the changes in the relationship between the Catholic Church, the state and civil society. On the other hand, the ecclesiological approach analyses on the current transformations within the Church that are new opportunities for humanization, democratization, and promotion of human dignity in the current context of health, ecological and socio-political crisis. In this sense, the current circumstances in Peru open challenges for new public roles of the Church in the 21st century Peru.En el marco de la conmemoración del bicentenario de la independencia del Perú, el ensayo reflexiona sobre la trayectoria de la Iglesia católica en los últimos doscientos años en el Perú desde una clave histórico-eclesiológica. La clave histórica analiza los cambios en la relación entre la Iglesia católica, el Estado y la sociedad civil. Por otro lado, la clave eclesiológica reflexiona sobre las actuales transformaciones dentro de la Iglesia que se presentan como nuevas oportunidades para la humanización, la democratización y la promoción de la dignidad humana en el actual contexto de crisis sanitaria, ecológica y sociopolítica. En este sentido, las circunstancias del presente abren desafíos para nuevos roles públicos de la Iglesia en el Perú del siglo xxi
