Aneta Jarzębińska, Od diagnozy do towarzyszenia w żałobie – wsparcie rodzin z dzieckiem z wadą letalną [From the diagnosis to the accompanying in mourning– support from the families of children with lethal defect]. Interdyscyplinarne Konteksty Pedagogiki Specjalnej, nr 22, Poznań 2018. Pp. 375-391. Adam Mickiewicz University Press. ISSN 2300-391X. DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2018.22.21
This article characterizes the interactions and institutions in which parents can receive support after their child has been diagnosed with a lethal defect. First and foremost parents need information and emotional support when making decision regarding their child. The primary source of the aforementioned elements is the hospital personnel and the perinatal hospice- that is if parents decide to contact it. If the child is born alive and discharged from the hospital then the parents require support during its treatment (which more often than not is identical with palliativecare) and rehabilitation, even social rehabilitation. Children’s hospices can offer many services in this particular matter. On each stage of the child’s disease the contact with other parents of children with lethal defect is crucial. They can negate the feeling of isolation, give practical advice regarding the situation and most of all give hope that even though the prognosis is fatal some of the children lived.Aneta Jarzębińska, Od diagnozy do towarzyszenia w żałobie – wsparcie rodzin z dzieckiem z wadą letalną [From the diagnosis to the accompanying in mourning– support from the families of children with lethal defect]. Senior w świecie mediów
Maria Trzcińska-Król, Senior w świecie mediów [Seniors in the media world]. Interdyscyplinarne Konteksty Pedagogiki Specjalnej, nr 22, Poznań 2018. Pp. 51-71. Adam Mickiewicz University Press. ISSN 2300-391X. DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2018.22.04
Nowadays, the media education process begins at a very early stage of life and lasts throughout life. Older people are still in a worse position in this respect. In order to find a place in the information society, they have to master the IT and media skills and competences that allow not only to use new forms of education (e.g. e-learning, distance learning, blended learning), but also to an ever greater extent to handle everyday affairs. (e.g. making a payment, booking a ticket, settling a case at the office). The key role is played by education, computer and internet training and non-institutional support. Among the most frequently cited reasons for not using technology, researchers mention the lack of: motivation; access to media, the Internet; competence; awareness of how, for what use ICT can be used. The main obstacles in the dissemination of new technologies to the public are not hard barriers, like lack of infrastructure or financial constraints, but soft, related to the lack of: knowledge, conscious needs or skills.Maria Trzcińska-Król, Senior w świecie mediów [Seniors in the media world]. Oddziaływania tyflomuzykoterapeutyczne wspierające rozwój ruchowy dziecka z niepełnosprawnością wzroku
Paweł Cylulko, Oddziaływania tyflomuzykoterapeutyczne wspierające rozwój ruchowy dziecka z niepełnosprawnością wzroku [Typhlo music therapy interventions that facilitate motor development of visually impaired children]. Interdyscyplinarne Konteksty Pedagogiki Specjalnej, nr 22, Poznań 2018. Pp. 153-30. Adam Mickiewicz University Press. ISSN 2300-391X. DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2018.22.09
The article discusses the possibilities of using music therapy to facilitate motor development of children with visual impairments. Cognitive functioning of children without vision implies certain psychophysiological, emotional and social problems, including substantial delay in motor development in comparison to non-impaired peers. Thanks to the integration of music with various forms of movement and the sonic and musical interaction between a music therapist and a child, it is possible to reduce the child’s psychomotor delay, and improve their orientation and locomotion in small and large spaces. The author, musician, teacher and music therapist, shares his observations and experiences gained during almost thirty years of workwith children at the Maria Grzegorzewska Lower Silesian Special Educational Centre No. 13 for the Blind and the Visually Impaired in Wrocław.Paweł Cylulko, Oddziaływania tyflomuzykoterapeutyczne wspierające rozwój ruchowy dziecka z niepełnosprawnością wzroku [Typhlo music therapy interventions that facilitate motor development of visually impaired children]. Nowoczesne technologie a uczniowie z dysleksją – możliwości i zagrożenia
Agnieszka Pawluk-Skrzypek, Iwona Błaszczak, Nowoczesne technologie a uczniowie z dysleksją – możliwości i zagrożenia [Modern technologies and students with dyslexia – opportunities and threats]. Interdyscyplinarne Konteksty Pedagogiki Specjalnej, nr 23, Poznań 2018. Pp. 235-247. Adam Mickiewicz University Press. ISSN 2300-391X. DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2018.23.14
The article focuses on the issue of the possibility of using modern technologies in the education and pedagogical therapy of students with developmental dyslexia. The article draws attention to the difficulties experienced by students with developmental dyslexia in contact with modern technologies due to the specificity of their functioning, which consists in the fact that their problems “do not manifest themselves only within the letter system, but apply to all character systems (symbols), which exist to denote (naming, ordering) the existing reality. This also applies to codes that regulate the use of certain symbols, in other words – dyslexia causes difficulties with the use of symbols and the abstraction and application of rules for the use of these symbols. Both letters and numbers, notes, Morse code, numeric time stamping, etc”.Agnieszka Pawluk-Skrzypek, Iwona Błaszczak, Nowoczesne technologie a uczniowie z dysleksją – możliwości i zagrożenia [Modern technologies and students with dyslexia – opportunities and threats]. Edukacja medialna z perspektywy edukacyjnej analizy transakcyjnej
Zbigniew Łęski, Media education from the perspective of educational transactional analysis, Interdisciplinary Contexts of Special Pedagogy, No. 23, Poznań 2018. Pp. 103–115. Adam Mickiewicz University Press. ISSN 2300-391X. DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2018.23.06
Educational transactional analysis is one of the main branches of transactional analysis – a concept, which was developed with psychotherapy in mind. Its tools and clear terminology allow for both theoretical and empirical analysis of many aspectspertaining to the specificity of human functioning in the world of new media. The article shows the possibilities of its application and presents a review of previous theoretical and empirical initiatives that deal with this issue.Zbigniew Łęski, Media education from the perspective of educational transactional analysis, Interdisciplinary Contexts of Special Pedagogy, No. 23, Poznań 2018. Studia na kierunku pedagogika specjalna jako przestrzeń czytania naukowego
The author describes the properties of modern ways of “reading in science”. It emphasizes the relationship between the type of text (digital, printed) and the kind of reading activity. He points out that reading science texts by scholars is rarely done in full and in linear order. Reading in science, requires active engagement in text, information processing and efficient selection to fully understand content. Analyzing the changes that have taken place with the advent of the C generation, he analyzes “reading in college”. He argues that contemporary students (special education) – representatives of the computerized generation – connected -always clicking – have dropped printed text and are not interested in books as a source of knowledge. Although they have a proficiency in searching online resources, they experience difficulties in using the text and its content. By copying the thesis, the author presents the results of the research conducted in this field and refers to many publications on this subject. Clearly recognizes the need to prepare future students for a rational and critical use of scholarly reading, to learn how to study a scholarly work (both at the earlier stages of education and within the university education system). Also, believes that pedagogical thinking and action derive both from the association with the scientific texts and from reading literature. Reading is an irreplaceable way to enrich the sensitivity and imagination of future teachers (special). The author describes the properties of modern ways of “reading in science”. Ocena dojrzałości szkolnej dzieci z wadą słuchu. Kontrowersje i wyzwania związane z diagnozą psychologiczno-pedagogiczną
The start of school education is an important and difficult phase in every child’s life. However with each one of them, we have to deal with the individual pace and specificity of development in each sphere, and even so it is difficult to recognize every child as equally mature as a pupil. Both the evaluation of child progress in the education process and the readiness for school education are made through the prism of linguistic proficiency. In the case of child’s hearing loss, especially when it is congenital or acquired at a very early stage, the development of speech and language is delayed. The determinant of this situation is the lack of access to the audible voice of the guardians. In a slightly different situation there are children with hearing impairment, having deaf parents. These people, from their earliest years, develop their sign language skills, which are primary to them. An increasing number of hearing impaired children go to integration classes in public schools. Does this mean that the psychological and pedagogical diagnosis procedure of the aforementioned group of children, including the study of their school maturity, can be considered appropriate
