The role of parents in supporting the children’s psychosexual development is extremely significant. It is them who introduce first in the system of values, rules, behavioral standards, they teach how to express feelings and emotions and this is why the family home is the best place to start sexual education. It is very difficult for many parents to transfer knowledge about sexuality to children, especially for the parents of children with mental disability. They present different attitudes towards the children’s sexuality, which imply how they lead the education on this topic. Conducted research aimed at exploring the parents’ opinions on sexual education at home. Research results showed a range of difficulties (among others insufficient preparation or knowledge) concerning the conversations with children about their psychosexual development. It is necessary to support the parents with knowledge, information as well as with competences and skills in sexual education of children. The role of parents in supporting the children’s psychosexual development is extremely significant. This article deals with the issues of creativity of people with disabilities and their social values. The starting point is the category of Another as saturated with pejorative meanings - in a social but positive context in the study of creativity. The combination of these contradictory approaches is reflected in the art brut, represented by artists with mental incompetence. Their creativity dictated by internal compulsion is presented as the work of marginalized people. The social context, as well as the type of disability that determines the way in which this art is treated: from the rejection of, for example, the early time of Nikifor’s works, to the complete recognition of, for example, F. Kahlo’s painting. The basic question, however, comes down to the question of the value of this art for man. Referring to the philosophy of E. Levinas, the author seeks to show that despite the assumption of the unknowability of another human being, the greatest value of the Other art is the ability to experience, to see though a fragment of the world of artists determined by the disability. This article deals with the issues of creativity of people with disabilities and their social values. Severe hearing damage in the prenatal period or when the baby is born is a disability that significantly impairs the correct functioning in the society of hearing people. A particularly perceptible consequence of severe hearing impairment is the lack or significant delay in the development of speech and language acquisition. Thanks to the use of cochlear implants, the Program of Surgical Treatment of Deafness With the Method of Cochlear Implantation allows children with perceptive deafness for the access to speech sounds through the auditory pathway. It gives them an opportunity to develop speech and language and in the future – the ability to satisfactorily communicate with other people. The study covered 54 born-deaf children, bilaterally implanted in the sequential mode. The implantation was performed at the Department of Otolaryngology and Laryngological Oncology of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences. The results indicate a constant, dynamic increase of auditory and linguistic-communication skills in the examined group.Severe hearing damage in the prenatal period or when the baby is born is a disability that significantly impairs the correct functioning in the society of hearing people. A particularly perceptible consequence of severe hearing impairment is the lack or significant delay in the development of speech and language acquisition.
