Angewandte Kulturwissenschaften – Überlegungen zum Studienprogramm einer akademischen Disziplin nach dem cultural turn im Hinblick auf berufliche Perspektiven
The author tries to attract attention for the careers ant the education of that what we call applied Cultural Studies after the cultural turn in the Humanities. He refers to some empirical studies and tries to put it out how differs the several institutes especially in the German spoken academic world. After all the conclusion of the author could be that there is an big demand for specialists in the area of applied cultural studies. The formation or education has to refer widely to a conception or the terminus of every-day-culture, so that it could be a big help in economic, social and education professions

The development of the audiovisual comprehension is in the contemporary mediatized world without a doubt very important foreign language learning and teaching goal. In the recent years the use of audiovisual materials in the classes has become very common. In their spare time many students also try to learn languages with films. The aim of the article is to provide an overview of strategies that are useful while dealing with audiovisual materials in a foreign language. It is likely that the introduction of these strategies into language classes by teachers would help students to become more efficient learners.The development of the audiovisual comprehension is in the contemporary mediatized world without a doubt very important foreign language learning and teaching goal. Problems with L2 classroom research in the SEN setting with visually challenged learners
The paper highlights the what, the why and the how questions which may be posed by the novice researcher in the field of visual impairment. I discuss the problematic issues inherent to various stages of research preparation and implementation such as selection of a research method, recruitment of subjects for a study, the lack of theories and models in the field of visual impairment, applicability and administration of standard tests in the SEN setting, keeping up participants’ commitment throughout a project, or sustainment of the researcher’s emotional involvement
Remarks on learner autonomy and success in foreign language learning as a measure of learner resilience
In a positively-oriented foreign language pedagogy, where learner autonomy is of utmost importance, focus should be placed on learner resilience. Subsequently, the formation of a resilient learner should be regarded as one of the aims of the formal schooling system on all levels of its functioning. The advantages of the presence of the resilient learner in a properly constructed ecosystem of the school are manifold and are, generally, aimed at generating a high degree of success in school tasks as well as at providing the human society with resilient participants
