The aim of this article is to describe the issue of effective vocabulary learning among the students of neophilological faculties as well as to provide an answer to the question on how to learn vocabulary effectively. To achieve this aim, two vocabulary learning strategies (the key-word method and learning by heart) were compared on the basis of empirical research. Classroom-based language efficiency assessment: a challenge for EFL teachers
This paper attempts to highlight the significant multidimensional role of teachers of English as a foreign language in conducting language assessment in the process of teaching. The study presented in the article aimed to investigate school and university EFL teachers’ (n=87) beliefs about the place of assessment in their teaching practice and their role as assessors. The findings indicated that classroom assessment, though appreciated by the study participants, posed a major challenge to them
Sprachstrukturen der Konzepte „Wende“ in den Diskursen der modernen deutschen Sprache. Language structures of “Turn” Concepts in the discourses of modern German language
German language structures analysis of „turn“-concepts is interconnected with the term concept itself on the one side and with the discourses of “turn” on the other side. Furthermore there is a deep need to research the concepts and conceptuality of German language structures of “turn” according to the newest findings of lexicography, communication studies and information linguistics, allowing the precise comparison within several similar discourses of “turn”. Finally, the concept items of “turn” will be comprehensively described and illustrated using online analyses of “turn” structures in narrative and argumentative situations

Learning a specialist language entails developing a number of linguistic competencies, the most important of which is discursive competence enabling proper communication in a particular professional environment. Its development requires that the learner should become sensitive to the pragmatic aspects of specialist language use in a wider discursive context, with particular attention to genre norms forming a discursive polisystem of a given culture.
