The predicate-argument-structures in the common German-Danish word-formation-patterns and their use in Danish-teaching
In this paper, the author tries to deliver exercises for Polish students of German language with Danish as other foreign language. On the basis of the common German-Danish word-formation-patterns, the author attempts to build a new Danish-learning-model, based on these common patterns, the parallelism of which stays on the level of ca. 60-95%, allowing so a more often German-Danish transfer. Using these and other similarities between the two languages a student of Danish with German as source language can from the very beginning learn Danish in a more effective way.In this paper, the author tries to deliver exercises for Polish students of German language with Danish as other foreign language. Grüazi/Pfiat di/Hallöchen – ein paar Anmerkungen zur Einbindung von Sprachvarietäten in den DaF-Unterricht
In the development of languages (including varieties) nationalities or countries play an important role. That is how pluricentric languages have developed. In the field of German as a pluricentric language many articles have already been published in scientific magazines. In spite of that the pluricentricity of languages is hardly acknowledged – the effects can be seen in dictionaries, in programs of teaching at universities (literature, linguistics as well as translation studies), but above all in text books for students, where elements of pluricentricity are usually absent. That is why some desiderata for the future teaching German as a Foreign Language ought to be expressed
Ausgewählte Probleme der stilistischen Übersetzbarkeit von wissenschaftlichen Texten
The dissemination of results has always been an important aspect of the research process. The translation plays here an increasingly important role. In view of the fact that the languages of science differ significantly, that the scientific style is simultaneously distinguished by many personal, universal and cultural features, the translation appears not to be an easy undertaking. Following the Galtung’s concept of intellectual styles we present the distinguishing features of the Teutonic and Saxonic style on the example of German and English language
New Perspectives of the DaF-Reading Didactic: An Empirical Study about Inferential and Basic Grammar Strategies
This paper focuses on the reading competence of a foreign language and aims at showing a particular approach to the reading comprehension of German texts. The role of inference and the knowledge of basic grammar while reading is discussed and particular analytical reading strategies are presented as a support to the theoretical questions. Their validity in the process of meaning reconstruction is finally approved by an empirical study. This paper focuses on the reading competence of a foreign language and aims at showing a particular approach to the reading comprehension of German texts. Anglicisms in the linguistic and didactic perspective
The aim of this paper is to investigate the problem of defining the term Anglicism in academic papers dealing with this problem. The focus is on different linguistic approaches to Anglicisms discussed from the sociolinguistic, diachronic and synchronic perspectives. The complexity of the subject together with the multiplicity of the presented approaches have consequences for teaching German as a FL. These problems are presented in the second part of the paper. The aim of this paper is to investigate the problem of defining the term Anglicism in academic papers dealing with this problem.
