Up to the present day, only a few articles have dealt with the didactics of liaison interpreting. This particular one aims to contribute to a didactic basis, offering a practical approach to consecutive liaison interpreting for the German-Spanish language pair. It will place a special focus on role plays and preliminary practical exercises. With the help of role plays, students are able to identify, acquire and apply the skills and strategies necessary for liaison interpreting. Moreover, role plays offer students the opportunity to observe and evaluate the complete process of interpreting. Giving students the task of fictitious interpreting assignments with directed progression of difficulties, which the students prepare beforehand and which are simulated in the lessons, creates a certain dynamic in class. This motivates students to successfully approach any difficulties when acquiring interpreting competences and then to overcome them

Qualitätsbewertung einer Übersetzung – von der Ontologie zur Axiologie

The subject of the paper is intersubjectivity and verifiability of judgments about the quality of translation. Criteria for identification of a text to be a translation and possibilities of assessing the value of translation based on the classic triad of truth, goodness and beauty are discussed. The starting point for the axiological assessment is the ontic structure of the original. It is shown how a type of relationship between the original and the translation impacts on the assessment of translation. The subject of the paper is intersubjectivity and verifiability of judgments about the quality of translation. This article deals with glottodidactic processes, seen on a level that goes beyond purely didactic-linguistic issues, that is, a level that considers their more specialized forms and that is a domain of other academic fields. The subject of the article is metaglottodidactic information concerning processes of decoding, processing, storing, and encoding language structures while learning and acquiring them. The author refers, in particular, to select problems from the field of codematics and the theory of control in processes of coding (generating and producing) foreignlanguage information on the part of the sender, the interindividual transferring of that information, the phonetic-phonological, grapho-graphic, and semantic-grammatical decoding and processing in the receiver’s language centerThis article deals with glottodidactic processes, seen on a level that goes beyond purely didactic-linguistic issues, that is, a level that considers their more specialized forms and that is a domain of other academic fields. Inhibitions in speaking (or fear of speaking) can affect communicative processes in cross-cultural groups of learners. They may result from numerous emotional, cognitive or psychophysiological factors. The article concentrates on the most common types of inhibitions observed in a group of students during a project based seminar which took place in Poznań in December 2016. The seminar was a joint venture organised by Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the University of Marburg. The student participants were working on developing cultural teaching materials, and after the seminar they took part in a qualitative survey intended to examine their reflections concerning the project. The article presents a discussion of selected findings.Inhibitions in speaking (or fear of speaking) can affect communicative processes in cross-cultural groups of learners. Stereotypical Images in Dictionaries. The Image of the Prussians in the Example Sentences in the Słownik języka polskiego(1958–1969), edited by Witold Doroszewski

Because dictionaries contain cultural references, they can provide insights into the stereotypical attitudes common in a nation towards other countries and ethnicities. This article investigates the image of the Prussians presented by the monolingual Polish dictionary ‘Słownik języka polskiego’ (1958–1969). The author explored this topic by examining all the headwords in this dictionary listed under the following letters: A, B, C, Ć, K, Z, Ź and Ż. She then analysed all the example sentences she found that mention Prussia or the Prussians. Though the author found only limited references to these topics, the example sentences that do deal with them display a negative attitude, which is in line with the general Polish attitudes held towards Prussia and the Prussians from the Partition times to the People’s Republic.Because dictionaries contain cultural references, they can provide insights into the stereotypical attitudes common in a nation towards other countries and ethnicities. The article presents a model of consecutive interpreting that includes note-taking. Thisconceptualization derives from the model developed by Żmudzki, hence his approach is discussed in this paper as well. Later the author focusses on the language which interpreters use for note-taking. The finding of so oriented reasoning enabled developing of another model that can be implemented in the course of consecutive interpreting involving note-taking.The article presents a model of consecutive interpreting that includes note-taking. Boredom, monotony and inactivity are some causes of passive learner behaviours during foreign language classes. A teacher who is aware of the importance of the learning process has to be consciously responsible for activating learners. New technologies offer numerous opportunities. The tool presented in this article: Storybird, allows learners to create and publish their own illustrated stories. Differences between traditional writing tasks versus using Storybird are discussed here. Analysis of a survey allows us to see the potentil of this tool from the learner perspective.Boredom, monotony and inactivity are some causes of passive learner behaviours during foreign language classes.
