Innovation Diffusion of Tasikmalaya City Government and Bildungswerk Der Saechsischen Wirtschaft (BSW) in Small and Medium Industry Development of Embroidery Craft in Tasikmalaya City

    No full text
This study examines the stagnation of the embroidery craft industry in Tasikmalaya City, marked by limited market segments, lack of product diversification, and declining competitiveness. In response, the Tasikmalaya City Government collaborated with Bildungswerk Der Saechsischen Wirtschaft (BSW) from Germany in 2017 to enhance the global competitiveness of local embroidery SMEs. The research focuses on the diffusion of innovation based on Rogers’ theory (2003), which includes innovation characteristics, communication channels, time, and social system characteristics. A qualitative case study approach was used, with data collected through interviews, documentation, observation, and focus group discussions. The findings reveal that innovation was not adopted due to ineffective diffusion, caused by a lack of government commitment, limited resources, cultural resistance to change, unsupportive policies, and insufficient involvement of community leaders. The study underscores the need for effective innovation diffusion strategies and highlights the importance of political leadership, bureaucratic support, and international cooperation in ensuring the sustainability and success of embroidery SME development

Enhancing Loyalty in Indonesian Digital MSMEs: A User Interface Quality Perspective with Novelty Mediation and Moderation Factors

    No full text
This study examines the determinants of user loyalty in the e-commerce industry, with a specific focus on the UMKM Bangkit mobile application in Indonesia. Using the hypothetico-deductive method, this study investigates six concepts: user interface quality, emotional experiential value, security and privacy perception, gamification elements, and loyalty. The findings from the study, which involved 400 participants and utilized SmartPLS, indicate that user interface quality has a considerable impact on loyalty. Emotional value mediates this impact. Although the quality of the user interface has a beneficial impact on how users perceive security and privacy, it does not immediately improve loyalty or act as a mediator. Gamification elements do not mitigate the link between user interface quality and loyalty. Improving the user interface and promoting emotional connection are essential for strengthening user loyalty. Future studies should concentrate on overcoming sample process restrictions and taking into account the unique context of the research. This study offers significant insights for improving user experiences and cultivating loyalty on digital platforms

The Influence of Emotional Support on Counterproductive Work Behavior Mediated by the Quality of Work Life as Anticipatory Resistance to Change in Islamic Banking in Indonesia

    No full text
Organizational changes in Indonesia’s Islamic banking industry often trigger counterproductive work behavior. This study aims to examine the role of emotional support and quality of work-life, comprising job involvement, occupational health and safety, and job satisfaction, in mitigating such behavior. Grounded in the social control model of deviance and psychological contract theory, the research employs a quantitative survey of 428 employees analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares software. The results indicate that emotional support directly reduces counterproductive work behavior and positively influences the quality of work-life. Furthermore, job involvement and occupational health and safety significantly mediate the relationship between emotional support and counterproductive behavior, while job satisfaction does not. Key dimensions with the most substantial impact include encouragement (emotional support), central life interest (job involvement), health programs (occupational health and safety), and supervisor satisfaction (job satisfaction). These findings underscore the critical role of psychological and relational factors in shaping employee behavior and suggest that a holistic, human-centered, and preventive human resource management approach is essential for managing organizational change effectively

    No full text
This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effects of emotional intelligence and competence on teacher performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was conducted through a survey of 200 high school teachers in Indonesia, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that emotional intelligence and competence have a positive and significant effect on both teacher performance and job satisfaction; however, job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between emotional intelligence or competence and teacher performance. These findings emphasize the importance of enhancing emotional intelligence and professional competence through structured training and development programs as effective strategies to improve teacher performance, while job satisfaction, although important for teacher well-being, does not play a mediating role in this context
