Analysis of Behavioral Styles and Their Relationship with Job Performance in a Savings and Credit Cooperative in Ecuador

    No full text
Can behavioral patterns predict job performance? This research explores the relationship between DISC behavioral styles (Dominant, Influential, Steady, and Conscientious) and professional performance through an evaluation using the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ). The study, conducted with 147 employees from an Ecuadorian Credit Union, examines three key performance dimensions: Task Performance, Contextual Performance, and Counterproductive Behaviors. Through robust statistical analysis including Pearson correlations, ANOVA, and Tukey post hoc tests, it was found that while DISC profiles do not significantly determine overall job performance, they do show specific correlations with individual components of the IWPQ. These results indicate that the DISC model, although valuable for evaluating specific aspects of workplace behavior, has limitations as a predictor of overall performance, opening new lines of research in organizational psychology

    No full text
This research explores the factors influencing customer switching behavior in digital top-up services, with a particular focus on Indonesia’s specialty coffee micro-retail sector. A modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework is applied, incorporating variables such as switching behavior, switching cost, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, and social influence. To date, this study represents the first empirical investigation examining customer switching behavior within digital top-up services among micro coffee retailers in Indonesia. Data were obtained through an online survey of 320 respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that Perceived Ease of Use (β = 0.182, p < 0.01), Perceived Usefulness (β = 0.418, p < 0.01), and Switching Cost (β = 0.342, p < 0.05) significantly and positively affect switching behavior. In contrast, Social Influence (β = 0.073, p = 0.242) and Perceived Risk (β = 0.113, p = 0.099) were found to be insignificant predictors. Overall, the model explains 71.5% of the variance in switching behavior (R² = 0.715). These results provide valuable insights for fintech providers and policymakers, emphasizing the need to design secure, user-friendly, and efficient transaction systems to enhance adoption and customer loyalty among Indonesian micro-retailers. By integrating sociological and psychological perspectives, this paper not only extends the theoretical scope of TAM but also offers practical implications for fintech developers and policymakers in promoting digital resilience and inclusivity among micro-entrepreneurs. Ultimately, virtual account top-up services serve as catalysts for behavioral change and sustainable digital transformation within niche retail communities, reinforcing the significance of consumer-centered innovation in the digital economy

Therefore, the inventory and the identification guide prepared will be valuable documents for the knowledge of the variety of species in the marine space of the Bay of Ancón, which will facilitate managers to optimize their efforts at the level of the educational community and of the community involved in responsible fishing

Determinants of Bank Financial Performance in Indonesia: The Role of Governance, Capital Structure, Firm Size, and Intellectual Capital

    No full text
This study analyzes the determinants affecting the financial performance of commercial banks in Indonesia, employing secondary data from banks listed on the IDX from 2019 to 2023. The analysis examines corporate governance, capital structure, firm size, and intellectual capital as independent variables, uses ROA and ROE as indicators of bank performance. We apply panel data regression using STATA 17. The findings show that corporate governance and capital structure do not exert a measurable impact on either ROA or ROE. Firm size improves ROE but does not materially affect ROA. By contrast, intellectual capital consistently and strongly enhances both ROA and ROE, highlighting its central role in bank profitability in Indonesia. This research offers critical insights for bank management to improve performance and for regulators to formulate effective regulations that promote the stability and sustainability of the banking sector in Indonesia

    No full text
This study investigates the challenges faced by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Indonesian livestock industry in adopting digital payment systems. Despite government efforts to promote digitalization and financial inclusion, the adoption of digital payments remains limited in this sector. Through qualitative research employing in-depth interviews with 140 informants from 19 provinces, this study explores the barriers and obstacles encountered by livestock MSMEs in transitioning to digital payment transactions. The findings reveal that while informants acknowledge the benefits of digitalization, such as increased efficiency and market access, significant challenges persist, including inadequate internet access, limited digital literacy, and cybersecurity concerns. The results highlight the need for targeted initiatives to address these barriers, including improving infrastructure, providing digital literacy training, and strengthening cybersecurity measures. By identifying and addressing these challenges, policymakers can facilitate the successful adoption of digital payments in the livestock MSME sector, contributing to the achievement of relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting financial inclusion and sustainable agricultural practices
