The purpose of the research is to determine the development of leadership abilities through a volleyball practice program that is integrated with leadership for positive youth development. The method used is Quasi Experiment Design with The Matching-Only Pre-test-Post-test Control Group Design. The research population consists of school volleyball clubs in Garut Regency which are divided into three groups: 1) a group that takes part in volleyball training with integrated leadership; 2) a group that takes part in volleyball training without leadership integration; and 3) a group that does not participate in volleyball training and is not integrated with leadership. The research samples are teenagers aged 12-25. The instrument used is the Inventory Leadership Identity (ILI). The average pretest score of group A is 43.93, and the average posttest score is 88.48. For group B, the average pretest score was 38.40, with the same average posttest score of 41.48. As for group C, the average pretest score was 25.54, and the average posttest score was 26.08. Based on the results of data processing and analysis, it proves that the group that took part in volleyball training with leadership integration shows a better leadership development for the structured and intentional leadership program

    Get PDF
This study aims to determine the effect of target pattern training on smash accuracy in badminton. Smash accuracy is one of the key factors in the success of badminton, which requires high technical skills and concentration. The method used in this study was an experiment with a pre-test and post-test design. The study sample consisted of 20 badminton athletes who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group who did target pattern training and the control group who did not receive special treatment. Target pattern training was carried out for 6 weeks with a frequency of 3 times a week. Smash accuracy measurements were carried out before and after the training using a validated smash accuracy test. The data obtained were analyzed using a paired t-test to see the difference in average smash accuracy before and after training. The results showed a significant increase in smash accuracy in the experimental group compared to the control group. Based on these results, it can be concluded that target pattern training has a positive effect on increasing smash accuracy in badminton athletes. The results of the statistical data analysis obtained from the pre-test data test had a P-value (sig) of 0.875. In other words, the test conducted using Kolmogorov Smirnov on the pre-test is greater than α = 0.05, which means that the data is normally distributed. And the paired sample t-test obtained a result of 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of target pattern training on smash accuracy in badminton. The results of the initial and final tests showed that there was a significant increase after the treatment was given. This shows that this target smash pattern training method has an effect on improving the quality of reaction speed for the Badminton Student Activity Unit at one of the Universities in West Java, Sumedang Regency

    Get PDF
Stroke often causes disturbances in the sensorimotor system, which can interfere with the sufferer\u27s ability to maintain balance and movement. Visual feedback can provide real-time information regarding the position and movement of a patient\u27s body after a stroke, by adjusting movement adjustments and controlling body posture to maintain balance. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of visual feedback from the exercises given on post-stroke patients\u27 posture control related to muscle activity, center of pressure, balance, gait and functional ability. The method used is a literature review through searching Pubmed and Scopus articles with the keywords "Visual Feedback" AND "Postural Control" OR "Postural Instability" AND Stroke which will be identified and selected using PRISMA guidelines. The research results showed that from 488 search articles, 6 articles were obtained that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria for review, which informed that visual feedback mediated by sit to stand exercises, Dynamic Sitting Sport, Sitting Balance, or visual feedback with a stable surface and bilateral visual feedback can improve muscle activity, center of pressure, balance, gait and functional abilities of post-stroke patients. The conclusion of this research is that there is an influence of visual feedback from the exercises given on posture control in stroke patients

This study aims to analyze the role of stakeholders in the organization of multi-event sports competitions and evaluate the model of rewarding athletes by the central government in Indonesia. Through a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation, this study involved informants from the Indonesian National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The results show that multi-event management is divided into three main stages, namely preparation, execution, and post-event evaluation, with the NOC playing a central role in the coordination and execution of these activities. On the other hand, the rewarding models applied by the government include medal bonuses, appointment as civil servants, and special access to state agencies. This research recommends the development of a more comprehensive and sustainable reward system, including career transition support and post-retirement mentoring. The findings emphasize the importance of collaboration between stakeholders and policy reforms to support the development of national sports

Analysis of the Potential and Challenges of Nature-Based Sport Tourism in West Java

    No full text
West Java is endowed with diverse natural landscapes—mountains, rivers, and forests—that offer strong potential for the development of sport tourism. As interest in nature-based and adventure tourism grows, especially among younger generations, the region has an opportunity to foster innovative and sustainable tourism models. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach to explore perceptions and challenges related to sport tourism in West Java. The research involved university students with a demonstrated interest in tourism and sports, selected for their responsiveness to emerging travel trends. Data were collected through questionnaires focusing on two key dimensions: natural potential and development challenges. Findings show that students generally view West Java as highly suitable for sport tourism, citing its natural richness and varied landscapes. However, several obstacles were identified, including inadequate infrastructure, limited safety regulations, and weak digital promotion. These challenges suggest the need for a more integrated strategy that aligns environmental potential with institutional and promotional support. Strengthening both ecological and managerial aspects will be essential in positioning sport tourism as a prominent driver of regional development and identity in West Java.

The Effect of Circuit Training Methods on Improving Aerobic Endurance in 10-12-Year-Old Volleyball Players

    No full text
Volleyball is a game that is played continuously with short durations and high intensity, interspersed with brief recovery periods that occur sequentially during the match. The characteristics of the volleyball game require high endurance, making aerobic endurance training essential for the sustainability of athletes in developing their abilities, skills, and bodily endurance in order to adapt to the game which is played continuously with high intensity. This study aims to determine the effect of circuit training methods on the improvement of aerobic endurance. The method used is an experiment with a one-group pre-test and post-test design, with a sample size of 20 students aged 10-12 years who are active in the volleyball extracurricular at Limbangan Tengah 2 Elementary School. The research results show that there is a significant effect of circuit training methods on improving aerobic endurance in volleyball players aged 10-12 years. This is indicated by the average pretest score of 25.9850 and a posttest score of 42.8000, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the results of training with the circuit training method on the pretest and posttest data. Therefore, the circuit training method is very effective in improving aerobic endurance, which combines strength and endurance training by completing one group or circuit of exercises with minimal or no rest.
