Description of Internet-based Information on Sexual and Reproductive Health and rights (SRHR) in High Schools
The internet has become an essential source of information for adolescents, especially when it comes to accessing information about reproductive and sexual health. However, inadequate access to accurate reproductive and sexual health information, minimal parental supervision, and a culture that considers sexuality a taboo topic make adolescents vulnerable to misinformation and risky behavior. The absence of sex education in schools and limited access to reproductive health services further exacerbate this problem. On the other hand, the SDG 2030 target emphasizes universal access to reproductive health information and services. This study focuses on how high school students understand and evaluate reproductive and sexual health information from the internet and the factors that influence their access and interpretation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Informants were selected using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The research subjects were students from SMK X and SMA Y Semarang. In this study, saturation was achieved in the 10th interview with the primary informants (students aged 15-19 years) with an interview duration of 30-45 minutes per informant. In addition, there were four triangulations of teachers and two triangulations of close friends. Data analysis was performed using thematic analysis with NVivo 12 software. The results show that the internet is the primary source of reproductive and sexual health information for adolescents, but their ability to sort information is still limited. Cultural barriers, conservative norms, and generational gaps hinder open communication, while family and school support remain weak. There is a need to integrate SRH material into the curriculum, train teachers, and improve adolescents\u27 digital literacy through collaboration between families, schools, and communities
Hypertension Treatment Education on Medication Adherence and Control to Health Care Facilities
Hypertension is a leading cause of cardiovascular disease, stroke and premature death. It is a serious public health problem. Reports show that only 54% of adults with hypertension are diagnosed, 42% receive treatment and 21% can control their hypertension. These statistics show how important it is to increase awareness and control of hypertension. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of providing hypertension treatment education on medication adherence and control to health care facilities in Indonesia. This study is a cross-sectional analytical study using secondary data from the Indonesia Health Survey (SKI) 2023. The independent variable is hypertension treatment education, the dependent variable is adherence to taking medication and control to health care facilities. Bivariate data analysis used simple linear regression test. The results of providing hypertension education is effective on the regularity of taking anti-hypertensive drugs with statistical test results obtained p-value 0.002, as well as hypertension education is also effective on routine control to health care facilities with p value 0.000. In addition, the factors of age, education, employment and economic status affect the regularity of taking antihypertensive drugs with p value < 0.05. Hypertension treatment education is effective on the regularity of taking medication and control to health care facilities in Indonesia. The characteristics of age, education, employment and economic status affect the regularity of taking antihypertensive drugs
Predictions Models of Preventive Health Effort Coverage With Stunting Prevalence in Toddlers, Indonesia
The achievement of stunting reduction in Indonesia is still below the national target. The low coverage of preventive health efforts in several regions is one of the causes of the high prevalence of stunting in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to analyze the modeling of the coverage of preventive health efforts with the prevalence of stunting in toddlers in Indonesia. A type of analytical descriptive research with a cross-sectional design. The research data is sourced by Indonesian Health Profile, 2023. The collected data was then processed and analyzed using simple and multiple regression statistical tests. There was a linear relationship between coverage of complete basic immunization, monitoring the growth of childs, implementation of GERMAS, and proper sanitation with the prevalence of stunting in toddlers in Indonesia (p-value ≤ 0.05). The coverage of monitoring the growth of childs and proper sanitation was feasible to significantly predict the prevalence of stunting in toddlers in Indonesia (p-value ≤ 0.05) with the regression model equation being stunting = 55.837-0.211*CMGT-0.209*CPSA. The increasing coverage of monitoring the growth of childs and proper sanitation was predicted to further reduce the prevalence of stunting in childs in Indonesia. There is a need to improve the coverage of monitoring the growth of childs and proper sanitation, especially in low-coverage areas through an integrative and comprehensive approach that involves the active participation of the government, communities, and other sectors
Monitoring Toddler Development Based on Indonesia Health Survey (SKI) 2023
Background: Monitoring the development of toddlers is an essential aspect of the early detection of child growth and development problems. However, its implementation in Indonesia still faces various challenges, such as low parental awareness and limited access to health services. This study aims to identify factors related to monitoring the development of toddlers based on data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI). Method: This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design involving all children aged 0-6 years in Indonesia. Data were collected through standardized questionnaires and structured interviews, then analyzed using simple linear regression to measure the relationship between socioeconomic factors, ownership, and utilization of KIA books, as well as access to health centers for child development monitoring. Result: The results showed that the most dominant factor in supporting development monitoring was the ownership and utilization of KIA books, with a powerful and significant correlation (R=0.781 and R=0.788). Easy access to health centers also has a considerable influence (R=0.681). In contrast, economic status has a lower relationship and is not statistically significant in most categories. Conclusion: These findings highlight the importance of increasing parental awareness of using KIA books and optimizing access to health services to support better child development monitoring
Lifestyle Factors are Related to Hypertension in Indonesia: K-Means Clustering And Correlational Study
Background: Hypertension is a major health problem in Indonesia with complex risk factors, including lifestyle. This study aims to analyze the relationship between consumption of salty foods, instant noodles, sweet drinks, and smoking with the prevalence of hypertension at the provincial level. Methods: This cross-sectional study used data from 38 provinces in Indonesia in 2023. Normality tests were carried out followed by Spearman correlation analysis to measure the relationship between variables. Results: Consumption of salty foods showed a strong positive correlation with hypertension (p<0.001), while instant noodles had a moderate negative correlation that was not significant (p=0.052). No significant relationship was found between hypertension and consumption of soft drinks (p=0.210), energy drinks (p=0.280), or smoking (p=0.540). Conclusion: Excessive salt intake is a dominant risk factor for hypertension in Indonesia, which requires policy intervention, and the insignificance of other lifestyle factors requires further research with a longitudinal approach and multivariate analysis
The Influence of Main Reasons for Not Taking IFA Tablets on Adherence to ≥ 90 Tablet Consumption Among Pregnant Women
Anemia during pregnancy is still a public health problem in Indonesia that affects mothers and babies. The government has implemented a supplementation program for iron tablets (IBT) to prevent anemia, but the compliance of pregnant women with these tablets is still low. Various factors, such as lack of awareness, side effects, and mothers’ perceptions of the importance of IBT, contribute to low compliance rates. This study analyzes the impact of the main reasons for not taking IBT on the number of tablets consumed during pregnancy based on data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI). This study used an analytical cross-sectional study design with secondary data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey. The independent variable was the main reason for not taking IBT, while the dependent variable was the number of tablets consumed during pregnancy (≥90). Data analysis was performed using correlation and regression. The results showed that the main reasons for not taking IBT were forgetting (30.39%), nausea/vomiting due to pregnancy (21.57%), bad taste and smell (12.60%), and side effects (12.57%). Most pregnant women did not reach the recommended consumption amount, with 60.37% consuming less than 90 tablets. The reason with the most significant influence on compliance was “not yet up to the end of time” (R=0.344, R²=0.117, p=0.030). The main factors influencing compliance of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets were perception of the need for supplements, side effects, and lack of awareness. Increasing education, social support, monitoring strategies, and reminders for consumption are needed to improve pregnant women’s compliance with iron tablets to reduce the incidence of anemia in Indonesia
Additional Criminal Revocation of Access to Online Communication Devices for Perpetrators of Electronic-Based Sexual Violence
Advanced technology and information create many new problems that conflict with the values of decency and applied law in society. One phenomenon that is currently occurring is electronic-based sexual violence. It shows that there is a new type of crime that takes advantage of access to online communication in the mass media. This act clearly violates the provisions of the law regulating criminal acts of sexual violence. Even though basic criminal sanctions have been regulated, there are still shortcomings in the regulations. There is a need for additional criminal sanctions for perpetrators of electronic-based sexual violence, known as revocation of the right to access online communication devices. This research uses normative legal research methods with a statute approach and case approach. This research will comprehensively examine criminal law policies and the urgency of additional criminal sanctions for handling electronic-based sexual violence crimes. This research aims to provide new legal prescriptions regarding the regulation of sanctions for perpetrators of sexual violence who use and utilize internet-based communication devices
Speedy Trial in Election Crimes in Indonesia: Between Judicial Efficiency and Evidentiary Integrity
Speedy trials in regional election criminal cases are essential for maintaining democratic integrity, but they raise concerns about balancing efficiency with substantive justice. This study examines the implications of implementing speedy trial principles on evidence quality, access to justice, human rights protection, and judicial system integrity through normative legal analysis of primary sources. The research reveals that accelerated judicial processes create tensions between procedural speed and thoroughness, potentially compromising the examination of evidence, disadvantaging resource-limited defendants, and risking due process violations. The findings demonstrate that expedited timelines may undermine comprehensive legal reasoning in judicial decisions. A balanced framework is essential to achieve both procedural efficiency and substantive justice in electoral criminal proceedings
Land Certification of Government Assets Resulted From Swap-Over (Ruislag) to Ensure Legal Certainty of Land Rights (Case Study: Execution Of Ruislag MAN 2 Kuningan)
This research aims to find out the procedure for land certification as a result of the land swap (ruislag) in the implementation of the ruislag between MAN 2 Kuningan and Ciawigebang Village, a more in-depth analysis of the issues and strategies made by the parties involved in the certification process to achieve legal certainty of land rights. This research employs a qualitative research method, drawing on an empirical legal research approach and a sociological perspective. The results of this study indicate that the process of land certification as a result of ruislag is included in the maintenance service of land registration data by the Regulation of the Head of the National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2010 concerning service standards and land regulations so that a certificate of use rights and a certificate of business use rights for four plots of land to replace the Ciawigebang MAN 2 Kuningan Village Treasury. The issues faced are related to administrative documents, designation of replacement land rights, and land conditions, because the distance between the ruislag process and land registration is quite long. Strategies made are cooperation between the parties, increasing the intensity of coordination between agencies, and reviewing regulations relating to the issuance of ruislag and registration of land rights. With these strategies, the certification process has become easier, thereby ensuring the legal certainty of land rights for rights holders
