Tarawangsa Traditional Music: An Ethnomusicological Study in Sukaluyu Village, Girimukti Village, Sumedang
Tarawangsa traditional music in Sukaluyu Village, Sumedang Regency, has undergone a significant transformation due to the community’s social, cultural, and religious dynamics. Once a sacred function in the Bubur Sura ritual that contains elements of belief in Dewi Sri and ancestors, this art has now shifted to become a medium for entertainment, therapy, and public performances. This study aims to examine the changing function of Tarawangsa in the context of contemporary Sukaluyu society. The method used is qualitative-descriptive, with data collection techniques through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with artists and local communities. The results showed that shifts in community values, the influence of globalization, and changes in religious orientation have led to the cessation of the main ritual practice since 2018. Nevertheless, Tarawangsa has survived through thanksgiving performances, healing ceremonies, and cultural activities in local media and art festivals. These findings confirm that Tarawangsa is a dynamic and adaptive cultural heritage, with strong preservation potential when managed in a contextual and participatory manner
Comparison of Two Isolation Methods for Naturally Preserved DNA in Ambergris
DNA extraction is a fundamental initial step in numerous molecular research studies. Different extraction methods are required for different biological samples to obtain high-quality DNA. Therefore, this step is one of the limiting factors for the success of molecular analysis. There has been no research evaluating an appropriate method to extract DNA from ambergris jetsam samples. This study aims to determine an appropriate method for extracting DNA from whale ambergris samples. The ambergris sample was collected from the southern coast of Cilacap. DNA extraction was performed using a commercial DNA isolation kit and the Chelex® 100 method. The extracted DNA was visualized using agarose gel electrophoresis followed by quantification with a UV Nanodrop spectrophotometer. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the most effective extraction method. The success of the extraction was also assessed by measuring the DNA concentration using the Nanodrop spectrophotometer. The results showed that the commercial isolation kit failed to produce genomic DNA from whale ambergris, as indicated by the absence of stained DNA bands on the agarose gel. In contrast, the Chelex® 100 method successfully produced genomic DNA from ambergris, as evidenced by the presence of stained DNA bands on the agarose gel and a high quantity of genomic DNA after a Nanodrop measurement. It can be concluded that the Chelex® 100 method is more suitable than commercial kits for extracting DNA from ambergris samples. This finding contributes to the development of various scientific fields based on molecular data by providing evidence that each biological sample requires an appropriate method to obtain high-quality DNA
Morphological and Molecular Characterization of Pufferfish from Lekok Coastal Area, Pasuruan Indonesia
Pufferfish belong to the Tetraodontidae family, which consists of 28 genera and 184 species; however, there are limited studies on the species from East Java, especially Pasuruan. This indicates the need for the collection of more accurate morphological and genetic resources as an important step for its conservation. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify pufferfish species found in the Lekok Coastal Waters, Pasuruan District, through morphological characterization and molecular analysis using DNA barcoding of the COI gene. A total of 12 samples were collected from the Lekok Coastal Waters, Pasuruan Regency. Fin samples were stored in 96% absolute ethanol. DNA extraction, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and sequence analysis were performed using bioinformatics tools, the BOLD system, and the Automatic Barcode Gap Discovery (ABGD) web platform. Phenetic taxonomy was further applied using Ntysc to enhance the robustness of genetic analysis. The results showed that there were identified five pufferfish species were identified: Lagocephalus spadiceus, Chelonodontops patoca, Cyclichthys orbicularis, Arothron stellatus, and Arothron reticularis. High haplotype diversity (Hd) of 1 and nucleotide diversity (π) of 0.1 indicate significant genetic variation. The frequency of parsimonious informative sites was 22.6%, with 13 polymorphic sites and an overall ts/tv ratio of 2.2. The phylogenetic tree showed unambiguous branching patterns among species. These findings are supported by morphological and molecular identification results, which indicate the presence of five species of pufferfish along the Lekok Coast, Pasuruan Regency

Consumption Behaviour of Scholarship Students in Indonesia
This research aims to evaluate the development of the consumption behavior model for Academic Achievement Scholarship (AAS) grantees in the Faculty of Economics in Indonesia. This research was quantitative. Samples were taken from six major universities in the region, which spanned three major Indonesian islands, and included a total of 238 students from the Faculty of Economics in Indonesia who received the AAS Scholarship. Methods of data collection include the use of questionnaires, which are analyzed using SEM-PLS. The data demonstrated that economic literacy did not affect consumptive behaviour, hedonic conformity exerted a positive and meaningful influence on consumptive behaviour, self-control was found to positively and significantly influence consumptive behaviour, economic literacy and hedonic conformity had a negative and significant effect on self-control, and self-control can mediate the effect of economic literacy on consumptive behaviour. Self-control can also mediate the effect of hedonic conformity on consumptive behaviour. The implication is that self-control mediates the relationship between economic literacy and hedonic conformity in consumptive behavior. This research investigates the mediating role of self-control in the relationship between economic literacy, hedonic conformity, and consumption behavior, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of the factors influencing consumption patterns among scholarship recipients
Building Green Behavioral: The Role of Eco Literacy and Financial Literacy in Moderating Household Finances
Eco literacy among housewives has been increasing, supported by the application of green behaviour in household finances. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between green behaviour as an independent variable, eco-literacy and financial literacy as moderating variables, and household finances as a dependent variable. The quantitative research sample involved 100 respondents using snowball and purposive sampling techniques among housewives in Semarang City. The results indicate that green behaviour, eco-literacy, and financial literacy have a positive influence, while Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) shows that eco-literacy and financial literacy significantly weaken the influence of green behaviour on household finances. These findings not only support the hypothesis that increased environmental understanding can help individuals make appropriate financial decisions, but also highlight challenges in its implementation among the public, necessitating more effective educational strategies.
Unveiling the Influence of Financial Attitude, Financial Literacy, and Lifestyle on Decision-Making and Financial Well-Being:AComprehensive Study on Generation Z
This study examines the influence of financial attitudes, financial literacy, and lifestyle on financial decision-making and financial well-being, with a focus on Generation Z. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 306 respondents in West Sumatra through online surveys. The data were analysed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method, employing the Disjointed Two-Stage approach to ensure robustness and accuracy in testing the structural model. The results reveal that financial attitudes and financial literacy significantly enhance financial decision-making, which in turn positively influences financial well-being. Conversely, lifestyle exerts a negative influence on financial decision-making, thereby reducing financial well-being. Financial decision-making mediates the relationship between financial attitude, financial literacy and lifestyle toward financial well-being. This study contributes to the literature by integrating psychological, behavioural, and lifestyle dimensions into a unified model of financial well-being. It provides empirical evidence on the dominant role of financial attitude and the mediating mechanism of financial decision-making among digital-native populations. The findings suggest that targeted financial literacy interventions, value-oriented financial education, and lifestyle awareness programs are essential to foster sound financial decisions and improve financial well-being, especially for Generation Z
