    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the relationship between back strength (Back), leg strength (Leg), body pulling ability (Pull Up), cardiovascular endurance (12-minute Run), and flexibility (Sit & Reach) to Bifins performance in 10 diving athletes. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Pearson correlation. The results of the normality test showed that all variables were normally distributed (p > 0.05). Correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between the variables Leg (r = 0.653, p = 0.040), Pull Up (r = 0.905, p < 0.001), 12-minute Run (r = 0.638, p = 0.047), and Sit & Reach (r = 0.873, p = 0.001) with Bifins performance. While back strength ( Back ) did not show a significant correlation with Bifins (r = -0.195, p = 0.588). These results indicate that leg strength, pulling ability, endurance, and flexibility are important factors that affect the performance of diving athletes. This study provides a basis for developing training programs that focus on these aspects to improve the performance of diving athletes

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality at the Motor Vehicle Inspection (KIR) Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) on the level of public satisfaction among service users at the Indramayu Regency Transportation Agency. The research background stems from the Transportation Agency\u27s strategic role as a public agency providing essential services to ensure the safety and roadworthiness of motor vehicles on the highway. However, various public complaints indicate shortcomings in terms of service speed, officer accuracy, and the availability of infrastructure. The approach used was a quantitative descriptive explanatory survey method, involving 40 respondents from the public who used the KIR inspection service. Data were obtained through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data were then analyzed using validity, reliability, correlation, coefficient of determination, and t-tests to determine the significance of the relationships between variables. The results indicate that service quality has a positive and significant influence on public satisfaction. Service dimensions, including reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles, significantly contribute to increased public satisfaction. The correlation analysis revealed a strong relationship between service quality and satisfaction, while the coefficient of determination indicates that the majority of the variation in public satisfaction is explained by the service quality variable. These findings indicate that improving the quality of public transportation services depends not only on the availability of physical facilities, but also on the professionalism of the apparatus and the speed of response to public needs. Improved services at the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT KIR) are expected to encourage the realization of a safe, orderly, and satisfactory regional transportation system for the public

The increasing demand for digital integration in vocational education requires innovative learning media that enhance engagement and achievement. This study aimed to develop a Flipping Book-based e-book as an interactive learning tool for the Basic Skin Care course in vocational high school settings. Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, the study involved 60 tenth-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. Validation results by material and media experts showed high feasibility, with average validity scores of 0.924 and 0.935, respectively. Practicality testing also indicated excellent usability, with a practicality score of 93%. Effectiveness was tested through an independent sample t-test, revealing a significant improvement in the experimental group compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The N-Gain analysis showed a moderate learning improvement (0.61) for the experimental group and a low improvement (0.15) for the control group. These findings confirm that the Flipping Book-based e-book effectively enhances student learning outcomes in vocational education, particularly skill-oriented courses like Basic Skin Care. Future research is recommended to expand the application of similar interactive e-learning innovations across other vocational disciplines

Learner’s Perceptions on Vocabulary Learning Strategies: A Qualitative Single-Case Study

    Get PDF
This qualitative single-case study investigates an Indonesian EFL learner’s perceptions of vocabulary learning strategies, an important but often overlooked aspect of language learning. Despite vocabulary being the core of mastering a foreign language, learners\u27 perceptions remain underexplored, particularly in qualitative research. This study aims to address that gap by examining a single participant’s use of and perceptions of vocabulary learning strategies. Data were collected through a 32-item Likert-scale questionnaire based on Schmitt’s (1997) taxonomy and semi-structured interviews guided by the Cognitive-Affective-Conative (CAC) perception model by Schiffman & Kanuk (2004). The findings revealed a contradictory perception: although the participant acknowledged the effectiveness and practicality of vocabulary learning strategies, she also expressed a belief that exposure to language is more critical than strategic vocabulary learning. The participant showed a clear preference for social strategies and incidental learning, which she found more enjoyable and versatile than memory strategies. Her cognitive, affective, and conative responses suggest that motivation in vocabulary learning are deeply influenced by strategy flexibility and learner autonomy. The study concludes that EFL learners should be introduced to various vocabulary learning strategies early in their education, and educators should design instruction that respects learners’ preferences. This research highlights the importance of the learner’s perspective as an input to the growing literature in the EFL learning context and recommends broader, multi-participant qualitative studies in the future

    Get PDF
Corruption is one of the most serious challenges in governance and business, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. The impact is not only limited to the state\u27s financial losses, but also undermines public confidence and hampers socio-economic stability. This study aims to systematically examine how corruption impacts governance, public trust, and economic stability through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The literature was collected from various databases of leading international journals, applying strict inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure the relevance and quality of the empirical evidence. The synthesis results show that corruption hurts public policy effectiveness, reduces resource allocation efficiency, and deepens social inequality. The study also found that weak supervision, low transparency, and overlapping regulations are the root of problems in governance, especially in the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) sector. Thus, eradicating corruption and improving sustainable governance are key to rebuilding public trust and supporting inclusive economic development. These findings are expected to make a conceptual contribution to the development of anti-corruption policies in developing countries
