    Development of Problem Based Learning (PBL) Method Based on Local Wisdom in Institutional Accounting Practicum Subject

    This research was conducted to address challenges in enhancing students\u27 critical thinking skills at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Semarang through the development of Problem Based Learning (PBL) method based on local wisdom in the Institutional Accounting Practicum subject. The development method follows Thiagarajan and Semmel\u27s (1974) model with a 4-D development approach, starting from module design to validation by experts and field trials. The aim of this research is to describe the development of PBL method based on local wisdom to improve students\u27 critical thinking skills, and to analyze the validity and effectiveness of the method. The research method uses constructivism theory, focusing on student interaction with the learning environment. The results show that the PBL method based on local wisdom effectively improves students\u27 critical thinking skills. Module validation indicates an excellent category, while field trials received positive responses from students. The improvement in students\u27 critical thinking skills is evidenced by a high N-Gain value, reaching 0.567. These findings suggest that the PBL method based on local wisdom can be recommended as an effective learning approach for the Institutional Accounting Practicum subject at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Semarang

    Di era digital seperti sekarang ini penggunaan internet semakin massif termasuk dunia digital yang terus berkembang dan dipergunakan oleh berbagai kalangan termasuk dunia pendidikan. Maka dari itu guru saat ini dituntut untuk mampu mengemas sumber belajar ke dalam bentuk media pembelajaran berbasis digital. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan penelitian ini dengan metode kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan Participatoy Rural Appraisal (PRA). Data primer diperoleh langsung melalui wawancara, observasi lapangan, dokumentasi, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) untuk memperoleh data mendalam dari subyek penelitian, yaitu kepala sekolah, guru mata pelajaran IPS di Kabupaten Kudus serta para peserta didik. Data sekunder diperoleh dari sumber tambahan pihak lain, berupa sumber pustaka dan dokumentasi dari lembaga yang relevan. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yakni keterampilan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPS berbasis digital merupakan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan oleh guru IPS SMP dimana peserta didik di SMP merupakan digital native generation yang sejak lahir tumbuh dan berkembang diantara kemajuan teknologi digital yang sangat masif. Melalui kegiatan penelitian ini, guru dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPS berbasis digital sehingga pembelajaran IPS akan lebih relevan dengan kehidupan peserta didik

    Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang tidak bervariasi menyebabkan siswa kurang antusias dalam pembelajaran IPS, hal tersebut berdampak pada hasil belajar IPS siswa yang kurang maksimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design jenis nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini ialah seluruh peserta didik kelas V SDN Kebun Bunga 6 dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 50 dan kelas nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 45. Adapun nilai posttest pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh hasil rata-rata 89,38 dan kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai rata-rata 65,79. Hasil uji t posttest dengan perhitungan Independent Sample t-Test diketahui nilai signifikansi 0,000 dan thitung 7,537. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa

    KONTRIBUSI MATA PELAJARAN IPS TERHADAP PEMBENTUKAN SIKAP DAN KETERAMPILAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN SISWA SMP

    Perkembangan Pendidikan abad 21 tentunya akan menuntut setiap Siswa agar mampu memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis, inovastif, kreatif, serta memiliki jiwa kewirausahaan yang tinggi. Pelajaran IPS di tingkat sekolah SMP, tentunya memiliki potensi yang sangat besar dalam membentuk sikap dan juga keterampilan berwirausaha melalui materi-materi ekonomi, geografi, sosiologi dan juga sejarah. Dengan survei pada 200 siswa SMP di Bekasi, hasil menunjukkan materi IPS memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kreativitas, inovasi, keberanian mengambil risiko, dan komunikasi. Yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Artikel ini memperkaya diskusi dengan tabel, grafik hasil analisis data, serta pembahasan mendalam berbasis referensi ilmiah terbaru (2019–2024). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi ekonomi dalam IPS memberikan pengaruh tertinggi yakni, (β=0,35), sedangkan materi geografi sebesar (β=0,30), sejarah (β=0,25), dan sosiologi (β=0,20) dan nilai signifikansi secara keseluruhannya adalah (p<0,05). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur materi IPS tidak hanya mendukung sisi kognitif, namun juga mampu memperkuat jiwa berwirausaha Siswa. Penelitian ini tentunya menjadi rekomendasi penting bagi guru IPS untuk mampu memanfaatkan Pembelajaran yang berbasis potensi local dan juga proyek kontekstual agar hasilnya mampu menjadi lebih optimal

    Legal Politics in Combating Corruption During Indonesia\u27s Era of Regional Autonomy

    Efforts to eradicate corruption have not been fully effective, especially after the implementation of regional autonomy, where corruption cases have increased significantly. This paper examines the key factors driving corruption in decentralized governance, particularly in Indonesia, and evaluates the effectiveness of legal policies implemented by the government. Using a normative juridical research approach with a descriptive-analytical method, this study identifies three major contributors to corruption under regional autonomy: excessive authority without adequate oversight, high political costs, and self-serving governance among regional officials. Despite the establishment of various anti-corruption regulations, the enforcement mechanisms remain inconsistent and ineffective. The paper argues that the success of anti-corruption policies requires not only legal reforms but also institutional commitment, ethical governance, and structural enforcement mechanisms. Legal politics should be directed toward strengthening monitoring systems, improving governance capacity, and ensuring strict legal enforcement to create a deterrent effect

    The Digital Transformation of Criminal Justice: A Comparative Examination of Indonesia’s E-Court System and Global Best Practices

    In an era marked by the algorithmic mediation of human affairs, the pursuit of justice can no longer be disentangled from the architecture of digital systems that sustain it. The criminal justice system, long rooted in analog procedures and institutional inertia, faces an existential imperative: adapt or risk obsolescence. Within this context, digital transformation is not merely an administrative upgrade—it is a normative challenge to the principles of due process, transparency, and equality before the law. Indonesia’s hesitant transition toward e-criminal justice reveals a complex interplay of structural, legal, and epistemic limitations. This study aims to analyze the development of e-criminal justice in Indonesia by conducting a comparative assessment of successful digital judicial systems in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. Employing a normative legal research approach with a comparative legal method, this study examines primary and secondary legal sources to identify regulatory gaps, procedural challenges, and strategic solutions. The findings reveal that Indonesia’s legal framework remains insufficient in addressing key procedural safeguards, digital evidence authentication, and cybersecurity risks. Additionally, disparities in digital access, resistance from legal practitioners, and inadequate technological infrastructure hinder the effective implementation of e-criminal justice. Comparative analysis suggests that successful digital transformation requires a robust regulatory foundation, secure and interoperable digital platforms, structured judicial training programs, and policies ensuring digital inclusivity. To optimize its e-criminal justice framework, Indonesia must adopt a context-sensitive and adaptive strategy, balancing technological advancements with fundamental principles of procedural fairness and judicial integrity. Future research should explore the long-term impact of digitalization on judicial decision-making, the role of AI in legal processes, and the effectiveness of cybersecurity mechanisms in safeguarding judicial independence. This study contributes to the broader discourse on the intersection between technology and justice, providing recommendations for a sustainable and equitable digital transformation of Indonesia’s criminal justice system

    Curbing Elitist Populism in Indonesia\u27s Lawmaking: A Constitutional Law Perspective

    This research addresses the deficiencies in the scholarly exploration of constitutional law in relation to elitist populism within the legislative framework of Indonesia. The article examines the tendency of elitist populism in Indonesian legislative practice and advocates the idea of curbing it by constitutional law. Elitist populism, in the context of this article, refers to a political approach in which leaders claim to represent the common people, while simultaneously engaging in elitist practices. This study uses a normative juridical research method using statutory and conceptual approaches, and analyzes controversial cases with significant legislation impact. The research findings show that elitist populism in legislative practice is manifested in rapid legislation, and the consolidation of power that minimizes participation fails to reflect public aspirations. To limit these tendencies, constitutional law arrangements in institutional design, supervisory mechanisms, as well as spaces for public participation and awareness, need to be stronger. Therefore, it is recommended to strengthen the institutional rules of the constitutional court, revitalize the supervisory function of the house of representatives, encourage lawmaker’s consistency in the application of meaningful participation, and build public awareness

    Teachers’ pedagogical competence in teaching 21st-century skills of global and local connectedness

    This study employed a mixed-embedded research design, collecting data from teachers (n = 188) via a questionnaire and conducting in-depth interviews with ten participants. The primary aim was to analyse pedagogical competence in teaching 21st-century skills related to global and local connectedness at Tewodros II Secondary School in Ethiopia. The results indicated that teachers\u27 competencies in fostering global and local connectedness were unsatisfactory, leading to challenges in cultivating these dimensions among students. The findings highlight the urgent need for targeted interventions in teaching global and local connectedness as part of 21st-century skills. Such efforts are essential to developing citizens equipped to navigate global and local challenges within the school environment and the wider society. Therefore, this research contributes significantly to bridging the global and local education issues

    AI-based learning transformation in secondary schools: A systematic literature review study

    This study examines the evolution of research on artificial intelligence (AI) in secondary school learning over the past few years. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, 4,558 Scopus-indexed publications from 2019 to 2024 were analysed. The screening process adhered to the PRISMA framework, and VOSviewer was utilised to conduct bibliometric mapping, encompassing collaboration patterns, topic trends, and keyword groupings. Results indicate five dominant research themes. One cluster is heavily represented by medical and clinical research, which appears because many AI tools emerging in education originate from medical applications, such as simulations, automated assessment, and immersive technologies. The most relevant cluster focuses on adaptive learning, personalization, and data-driven curriculum design—areas directly connected to the context of secondary education. This review helps build a clearer conceptual map of AI-based learning innovation. Its key limitation is the exclusive use of Scopus; therefore, future studies should integrate additional databases for broader coverage

    Industry alignment in Japanese language vocational training in Indonesia

    This study assesses the effectiveness of Japanese language training programmes within Indonesia’s vocational education system, with a focus on their alignment with labour market demands. As Japan faces workforce shortages, Indonesia has developed vocational language training to prepare candidates for employment abroad. Despite these initiatives, many programmes still prioritise grammar-based instruction over communicative and cultural competence. A descriptive, quantitative approach, utilising Likert-scale questionnaires, was complemented by semi-structured interviews and document analysis. The results indicate that, while institutional management and resources are adequate, curriculum relevance, practical communication skills, and collaboration with industry partners remain limited. The findings underscore the importance of revising curricula, enhancing teacher capabilities, and strengthening partnerships with Japanese employers to enhance employability outcomes. These implications extend to the broader development of Indonesia’s vocational education system, emphasising the need for responsive, industry-oriented training
