Antynomie miłości - słabość i moc. Personalne konteksty miłości agape i jej antropologiczne konsekwencje.
The issue of love: eros and agape, enriched by its praxeological dimension of caritas, is engaging as it concerns life, development, and above all the personal identity of each person. This topic was clearly highlighted by Plato in his teaching and also presented today by Benedict XVI in his encyclical Deus Caritas Est. In this study Antinomies of Love – Weakness and Power, I show personal contexts in which love is present, and at the end I focus on anthropological and cultural consequences of using such model of interpretation. Most important, however, is that love is understood in the personal area of human existence. This makes it possible to get out of love new contents and meanings
Miłość bezinteresowna a ludzkie potrzeby
In my article I present two concepts of love. One is developed by Anders Nygren, and it rejects any human needs from the space of love. The second tries to defend human needs as an important background of human relations. My own thesis underlines the possibility of understanding love as accepting human needs. I am defending the vision of human nature which includes needs, like sense of security, acceptance, freedom, autonomy or sense of life. On this ground I try to show that human fundamental needs are conditions of love.In my article I present two concepts of love. Wybór intencjonalny. Refleksje augustyńskie.
In this essay we will try to undercover some aspects of freedom and free will of person, which are hidden in the philosophy of St. Augustine of Hippo. As we know, this great philosopher, early Christian theologian, has influenced European Philosophy very much, and a lot of his apposite thesis are present in philosophy even today. Using the phenomenological method of Max Scheler, Karol Wojtyła, and Jean-Luc Marion we will try to present some aspects, discovered and described by Saint Augustin of Hippo, which are necessary for such ideas like subjective Ego.In this essay we will try to undercover some aspects of freedom and free will of person, which are hidden in the philosophy of St. Augustine of Hippo. Osoba i wolność w myśli Pierre\u27a Teilharda de Chardina.
The idea of freedom in the thought of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin has not already been analysed. This paper delves into this issue in four dimensions: ontological, anthropological, social and theological. The concept of spirit as unifying direction of evolution of the universe and the notion of radial energy guarantee the ontological possibility of freedom. Human person is different from other beings because of her consciousness of his own freedom. Specific embodiments of this freedom are love and work; freedom should not be confused with “the will to live”. Unification and development of the mankind are main social consequences of freedom. God is the ultimate cause and the purpose of freedom, because the love of God is the most complete incentive to make an effort. The idea of freedom in the thought of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin has not already been analysed. Edyta Stein: wiara jako decyzja. Refleksje w świetle Augustyna, Kartezjusza, Husserla, Ingardena i Benedykta XVI.
There are two components of an act of religious faith: human will and God as truth and the Lord. Stein abandons Husserl’s phenomenological reduction in the definition of human “self” for the sake of the influence of God, who shapes human “self”. She stresses the role of the will besides of the mind. The will decides whether “self” can be shaped by God or not. In this way Stein favors Augustine’s understanding of “self” ascribing to the will the leading role in process of finding truth about “self”.There are two components of an act of religious faith: human will and God as truth and the Lord. Wiara jako zakorzeniony w wolnej woli wybór egzystencjalny - Edyta Stein.
In her philosophical and theological thought Edith Stein tackles the question of faith. Trying to find most of its constitutive elements, she considers it within a frame of human freedom. She states that faith, internal human willingness to take an act of faith and the freedom of choice are the essential foundation for the grace on the basis of which the existential relationship between God and man can be established. Edith Stein confirms that human free will, which is supported only by human effort, is not able to bring a person to make an act of faith. It can only arouse willingness to do it, but does not build a relationship. However, the same grace of God, without human freedom of choice is also not enough and does not guarantee him the reality of faith. Therefore, Edith Stein shows faith as a special kind of choice, made with the participation of free will. It is an existential choice which moves and changes the inner man, and which will always last within a living relationship with God.In her philosophical and theological thought Edith Stein tackles the question of faith. Spór Józefa Tischnera z tomizmem - między konfrontacją a dialogiem
The article presents an analysis of Józef Tischner’s debate with Thomism. Leaving aside the historical and personal influences which shaped the debate, the author is trying to assess the presented polemics on two fundamental planes: metatheoretical and anthropological. The text constitutes an attempt to answer the question: are the two disparate approaches bound to remain seen as ever confronting, or is there a possibility of them entering a constructive dialogue? The article presents an analysis of Józef Tischner’s debate with Thomism. This article is based on research on the decision-making process about religious vocation. The progress of this process depends on many conditions and factors.
