La ironía romántica: entre romanticismo y deconstrucción
Get PDFRelations between romanticism and deconstruction have been marked on numerous occasions by various theorists ofliterature and philosophy. While there are points of contact between both perspectives, the use of Romanticism as a necessary antecedent of deconstruction can lead to reductions and equivocations. Therefore, this essay reconstructs a field where such assumptions relation becomes problematic. The reconstruction is based on the concept of irony. Our analysis will focus on: the romantic aesthetics of Friedrich Schlegel, the concept of deconstruction of Jacques Derrida and conceptualizations about the irony of Paul De Man. In these three authors could encrypt relations and tensions between romanticism and deconstruction.Las relaciones entre romanticismo y deconstrucción han sido remarcadas en innumerables ocasiones por distintos teóricos de la literatura y la filosofía. Si bien existen puntos de encuentro entre ambas perspectivas, el uso del romanticismo como un antecedente necesario de la deconstrucción puede conducir a reducciones y equívocos. Por eso, el presente ensayo reconstruye un campo de supuestos donde tal relación se vuelve problemática. La reconstrucción será a partir del concepto de ironía. Nuestro análisis se concentrará en: la estética romántica de Friedrich Schlegel, el concepto de deconstrucción de Jacques Derrida y las conceptualizaciones sobre la ironía de Paul De Man. En estos tres autores se podrían cifrar las relaciones y tensiones que existen entre romanticismo y deconstrucción
Sciascia y la ficcionalización de la realidad
Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to examine how Leonardo Sciascia through the structure of detective novels, attempts to show the construction of reality by the hegemonic discourse. From this perspective, it will be established that for the author the truth —or its absence— is the center of his work. In his books, the memory, the dialogue between the legitimate and illegitimate power, the ethical conflict as well as the historical reconstruction find their background within the conception of ´elusive´ truth which remains in the shadows, covered by the efforts of the powerful and official History. Through the re-organisation of facts and methods of inchiesta (a subjective form of investigation that seeks to understand History through its deconstruction), Sciascia shows the fictionalization of reality.Este artículo tiene como objetivo examinar cómo Leonardo Sciascia, a través del formato de la narrativa policial, busca hacer evidente la construcción de la realidad por parte de los mecanismos del poder. Desde esta perspectiva, se planteará que, para el autor, la verdad —o su ausencia— es el centro neurálgico de una obra que estructuralmente bebe de la fuente de la literatura policial. En este sentido, la memoria, el diálogo entre el poder legítimo e ilegítimo, el conflicto ético y la reconstrucción histórica se tornan tributarias de una verdad elusiva y oculta, que muchas veces permanece en las sombras por los esfuerzos de la historia oficial, que establece los recuerdos y las identidades. A través de la reorganización de los hechos y de la metodología de la inchiesta (forma subjetiva de investigación que busca comprender la historia desmontándola), Sciascia evidencia la ficcionalización de la realidad

Get PDFIn the present work, it is claimed that suicide in Chile was represented by judges (at the beginning of the 19th Century), first as a sin to be punished as a crime and then (mid-nineteenth Century) as a behavior devoid of religious and criminal connotation and which should be dismissed. This latter perspective prevailed partly by the incorporation of the medicaltheory that classified it as an expression of mental disorder. The imposition of the medical criterion over the religious one was noted as the transition from a Christian to a secular Christian society.En el presente trabajo se sostiene que el suicidio en Chile fue representado por los jueces (a comienzos del siglo XIX), primero como un pecado que debía ser castigado como crimen, y luego (mediados del siglo XIX) como una conducta desprovista de connotación religiosa y penal que debía ser sobreseída. Esta última perspectiva primó, en parte, por la incorporación de la teoría médica que lo clasificó como una expresión de enfermedad mental. Get PDFThis article seeks to establish the principles and theoretical foundations that made the treaty of Jonás of Orleans one of the earliest systematizations of medieval political thought. Our particular interest lies in understanding the weight of episcopal authority reflected in a discourse that builds the fabric of legitimacy and illegitimacy in the Carolingian world of the third decade of the ninth century. In addition to the analysis of key texts of the treaty, it is intended to contextualize the text in its cultural context and especially the role played by the king in a political order modeled on the salvation of Christian society.Este artículo busca establecer los principios y fundamentos teóricos que hicieron del tratado de Jonás de Orleans una de las primeras sistematizaciones del pensamiento político medieval, para entender el peso de la autoridad episcopal en un discurso que construye la trama de lo legítimo y lo ilegítimo en el mundo carolingio de la tercera década del siglo IX. Asimismo, se pretende analizar textos clave del tratado, la contextualización en su ámbito cultural y, en especial, el papel que jugaba el rey en un orden político modelado en función de la salvación de la sociedad cristiana

The young couple went to take charge of the government in a conflict zone, Galicia, where the praeparatio of both for the royal office was finally given. In this practice of power as royal representatives, an institution of the royal house of León, the young couple began to acquire existential elements that allowed them to either plan alfonsin succession, in the case of Count Raimundo, or in the case of Doña Urraca, to legitimately assume as heiress and owner of the imperium legionense. Especially in the study of the diplomat of Alfonso VI as in the intitulatio of the condal pair we find the best signs and traces of that trajectory that followed the regal spouses.El enlace entre la infanta Urraca de León con el conde Borgoñón Don Raimundo trajo importantes repercusiones en todo el territorio gobernado por el imperator Alfonso VI. La joven pareja fue a hacerse cargo del gobierno en una zona conflictiva, Galicia, donde se dio en definitiva la praeparatio de ambos para el oficio regio. En esa práctica de poder como representantes regios, institución propia de la casa real leonesa, ambos jóvenes comenzaron a adquirir elementos vivenciales que les permitieron, sea planificar la sucesión alfonsina, en el caso del conde Raimundo, o bien en el caso urraqueño, asumir legítimamente como heredera y propietaria del imperium legionense. Especialmente en el estudio del diplomatario de Alfonso VI como en las intitulaciones de la pareja condal encontramos los mejores indicios y trazos de esa trayectoria que siguieron los reales cónyuges

It argues that the creation of the Chilean poets Winétt de Rokha, Olga Acevedo, María Monvel y Chela Reyes, although recognizing their genealogy in the landmark foundation pre and post Darian, and despite being produced and published a comprehensive and forceful poetic corpus, which passes from modernism to the historical avant-garde, still remains in an almost total ignorance. One of the materials to investigate in this reflection, therefore, is the identify those factors which have contributed to this invisibility.Este trabajo presenta algunos elementos iniciales de una investigación en curso, en la que se postula que la creación de las poetas chilenas Winétt de Rokha, Olga Acevedo, María Monvel y Chela Reyes permanece aún en un casi total desconocimiento, a pesar de su importancia como hito fundacional pre y posdariano y de haber producido y publicado un amplio y sólido corpus poético que transita del modernismo a la vanguardia histórica. Memoria, medios audiovisuales y literatura expandida en la narrativa chilena reciente (Baradit, Fernández, Zambra)
Get PDFFrom an intermedial perspective, I will analyse the relations between memory and audiovisual media present in recentChilean literary texts: two short stories from Mis Documentos (2014), by Alejandro Zambra; the novel Fuenzalida (2012), by Nona Fernández; and the novel Lluscuma (2013), by Jorge Baradit. Through their themes and formal aspects, these texts expand to other media using various strategies, and attempt to construct (anti) memories by confronting audiovisual layers of mediatized memory of our times. Doing so, intermedial literature becomes a political sphere that visibilizes the technological and audiovisual forms that cross our archives and memories, and the place that literature holds between them.Desde una perspectiva intermedial, analizaré las relaciones entre memoria y medios audiovisuales que se presentan en textos literarios chilenos recientes: dos cuentos de Mis Documentos (2014), de Alejandro Zambra; la novela Fuenzalida (2012), de Nona Fernández; y la novela Lluscuma (2013), de Jorge Baradit. A nivel temático y formal, estos textos expanden, con estrategias diversas, hacia otros medios y buscan construir (anti)memorias al enfrentar las capas audiovisuales de la memoria mediatizada de nuestros tiempos. Con esto, la literatura intermedial se convierte en una zona política que visibiliza las formas tecnológicas y audiovisuales que atraviesan nuestros archivos y memorias, y el lugar que tiene la literatura entre ellos
