    The Effect of Competence, Motivation, Work Environment and Work Facilities on The Expenditure Treasurer Performance

      Purpose – This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of competence, motivation, as well as work environment and facilities on the performance of the expenditure treasurer at the APBN management unit in North Kalimantan Province. Methodology – The participants were 213 expenditure treasurers which were selected by the simple random sampling technique. Furthermore, the number of samples was determined by using the Yamane formula and a total of 139 respondents were obtained. The data collection technique used questionnaires, namely the Guttman, Likert, and Rating Scales. In addition, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS For Windows. Findings – The results showed competence, motivation, as well as work environment and facilities had a positive and significant effect on the performance of the expenditure treasurer. Therefore, each of the work units managing the State Budget in North Kalimantan Province needs to pay more attention to the factors that affect performance. Originality – This study provides a new perspective on the effect of competence, motivation, as well as work environment and facilities on expenditure treasurer performance, which has never been carried out in previous literature. &nbsp

    Towards Robust Monitoring of the Laser Powder Bed Fusion Process based on Acoustic Emission combined with Machine Learning Solutions

    Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) is an Additive Manufacturing (AM) process consolidating parts layer by layer, from a metallic powder bed. It allows no limitation in terms of geometry and is therefore of particular interest to various industries. Metallic LPBF samples can achieve near-full density and high resistance. However, to prevent defects from deteriorating the quality of the workpiece, process costly and time-consuming parameters optimization is required. The LPBF process lack of repeatability it limits its applications. The Ph.D. thesis proposes an alternative solution to trial-and-error optimization, based upon real-time acoustic in-situ monitoring combined with state-of-the-art machine learning. We first investigated the use of a low-cost microphone AM41 combined with machine learning (ML) algorithms. Three regimes (lack of fusion pores, conduction mode, and keyhole pores) and three alloys (316L stainless steel, bronze CuSn8, and Inconel 718) were selected. Three conventional ML algorithms and a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) were chosen to perform the classification tasks. We proved that the acoustic emissions features are related to the laser-material interaction and don't originate from undesired machine or environmental noises. The regimes are classified with high accuracy (> 87%) regardless of the algorithms and materials. The AE features used for the classifications are material and regime dependent. Finally, a CNN multi-label architecture for classifying the material and the process regimes simultaneously reached a very high classification accuracy (93%), which is of great interest for multi-materials LPBF systems. We also introduce alternative AI methods to reduce the amount of data needed to train the algorithms, as well as to transfer the knowledge from one material to another. Saliency maps are used to determine the frequencies responsible for the ML algorithm classification. The analysis of saliency maps allows the quality of the trained model to be evaluated. A second microphone with a flat frequency response from 2 kHz to 200 kHz is compared with the AM41, whose response is restricted to bands around 10, 20, and 40 kHz. The information needed for the classification is scattered in the range 2 kHz-200 kHz, which allows both types of microphones to predict the regimes. Detailed investigation shows that most of the information is confined below 30 kHz, leading to an easier classification and a better model with the flat response microphone. The need to have a robust ML database is highlighted, with the flat response microphone. Twelve different laser parameter sets are chosen for each processing regime, to construct a database for the training of a CNN, applied to stainless steel 316L. We prove the possibility of generalization, i.e. using the model for classifying the regimes with high confidence (>96%), from AE signals recorded with unseen laser parameters. The influence of the "distance" in terms of power, speed, and enthalpy between the laser parameter sets included in the training database, and the unseen one, is studied. The position in the processing map is also investigated. At least eight parameter sets should be included in the training database to predict the regime of any laser parameter set, Moreover, when a robust model is trained, a decrease in the classification accuracy can indicate the regimes domains frontiers. This monitoring solution can help construct processing maps for a given alloy.LMT

    PENGGUNAAN MEDIA GRAFIS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR MATEMATIKA PADA MATERI PENGOLAHAN DATA

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran matematika materi pengolahan data. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran matematika materi pengolahan data yaitu dengan menggunakan media grafis. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan minat belajar siswa dengan menggunakan media grafis. Penulis menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VI SDN Darangdan Tingkat yang berjumlah 21 orang. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui angket dan tes tertulis. Setelah digunakannya media grafis terlihat bahwa terdapat peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari data angket minat belajar siswa pada siklus I persentase minat belajar siswa yang mendapat kategori sangat baik 0%, kategori baik 57%, kategori cukup 33%, dan kategori kurang 10%. Kemudian pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi kategori sangat baik 19%, kategori baik 71%, kategori cukup 10%, dan kategori kurang 0%. Kemudian peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat dengan adanya peningkatan yang terjadi dari data awal diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 55,14 dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak tujuh orang (33%), siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 68,09 dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 11 orang (52%), dan pada siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 79,04 dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 19 orang (90%)

    The Effect of Metacognitive Teaching and Mathematical Prior Knowledge on Mathematical Logical Thinking Ability and Self-Regulated Learning

    This paper reports the findings of a quasi-experiment that aims to investigate the role of metacognitive teaching-learning (MTL) and mathematical prior knowledge (MPK) on students’ mathematical logical thinking ability (MLTA) and selfregulated learning (SRL). The subject of the study was 70 tenth-grade students inSumedang, Indonesia. One experimental group and one control group were used, and the students were grouped into three categories based on their mathematical prior knowledge (high, medium and low). The instruments of this study were a short-answer-MPK test, an essay MLTA test, and a SRL scale. The data were analyzed by using Anova, t-test, Mann-Whitney test, and Kruskal-Wallis test. The study find that compared to conventional learning, MTL gave better influence on students with medium MPK in MLTA and gave an overall better effect on students in SRL. However, for entirely students, the students’ grades of SRL are fairly good, but the students’ grades of MLTA are still low. There is no interaction between learning approaches and MPK on improving MLTA, and there is an interaction between learning approaches and MPK on improving SRL

    Membaca pemahaman merupakan suatu kompetensi yang perlu dimiliki, dikuasai, dan dilaksanakan oleh setiap individu. Kegiatan tersebut dapat memperluas cakrawala berpikir dan wawasan individu yang bersangkutan, sehingga tidak tertinggal oleh pesatnya perkembangan zaman. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensi membaca pemahaman yaitu dengan penerapan suatu model pembelajaran yang dapat menggali berbagai potensi yang dimiliki siswa. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang diperkirakan dapat mengembangkan kreativitas berpikir siswa adalah model pembelajaran generatif (generative learning). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa proses pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan model tersebut berjalan lancar dengan aktivitas siswa yang cukup tinggi. Kecenderungan pandangan siswa terhadap pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan menggunakan model tersebut cukup positif dengan skor rata-rata yang mencapai 75,1%. Model pembelajaran generatif cukup berhasil dalam meningkatkan kompetensi membaca pemahaman siswa. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata kompetensi membaca pemahaman sebelum diberikan perlakuan pada seluruh sampel penelitian yang hanya mencai 53,8%, sedangkan setelah diberikan perlakuan mencapai 72% dengan index gains 0,41 dan tergolong pada katagori sedang. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diketahui terdapat perbedaan kompetensi membaca pemahaman antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran generatif dengan yang menggunakan model konvensional. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan hasil uji t yang menunjukkan t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran generatif cukup efektif dan layak digunakan guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensi membaca pemahaman siswa

    Sign language is a systematic arrangement of a set of fingers, and  as gestures that symbolize Indonesian vocabulary. Currently the education  system for the deaf still uses sign language, namely as a teaching and  learning tool in the natural sign approach, finger alphabets and standardized  signs, but for teaching it is still manual, it is demonstrated directly by the  teacher, so it is less efficient when the teaching and learning process takes  place because it only depends on the teacher. To overcome this problem,  we need a media for teaching sign language in a multimedia manner that is  web-based and can be displayed visually so that it can make it easier for  users (deaf children) to learn sign language anywhere and anytime with  internet media. With multimedia, teaching sign language will be clearer  visually and practically because it is packaged on a web basis so that it is  easily accessible from anywhere and at any time. Photo and video displays  are used where each sign language material can display the sign language  lesson. The design of web-based sign language learning media was built  using the PHP programming and MySQL database management system.  The model used is the Blended Learning model and uses the Research and  Development method which consists of 10 stages. Based on the results of  trials on users (deaf children) it can be concluded that this web-based sign  language learning media is useful, it can assist users in learning sign  language
