Exploring Algerian children’s school well-being and quality of their school life’s using Draw and write technique.
Get PDFThis study explored the views of Algerian children about their school well-being and aimed to, identify the dimensions of quality of school life in Algeria. Draw and write technique was used in order to elicit the views of primary school pupils (ages 8-12) regarding their own schools and their prospects of becoming more satisfying places. The research was conducted with a sample of 171 students who were randomly selected from Oran city schools. A triangulation methodology was used in order to analyse the data .The study succeeded in developing a model of quality of school life based on three main domains: Relational, Educational, and Physical, which were in turn divided into seven dimensions: The quality of the relationship between teacher and student, cleanliness and safety in schools, quality of relationship with peers, quality of education, availability of facilities in schools, quality of relationship with the administrative staff, and leisure and extracurricular activities.
The study also found that the quality of the relationship between the teacher and the student was the most determinant dimension of school satisfaction from the pupils' point of view. These results were discussed on the light of current international researc
Testing the ability of Islamic finance to enhance financial inclusion: An econometric study of a sample of countries during the period 2017-2021
Get PDFThe research paper aims to forecast the Islamic finance probability to increase the level of financial inclusion in a sample of Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries (OIC) during the period 2017-2021, based on cross-sectional time series analysis (Panel), by estimating aprobabilistic model to examine Islamic finance opportunities with its various components to raise levels of financial inclusion. The results of the study revealed that levels of financial inclusion tend to rise with an increase in Islamic financing in general. It appears that an increase in both the sizeof Islamic assets, Islamic financial development, and the issuance of sukuks by one unit increases the probability of the dependent variable reaching the value 1, which corresponds to an increase in the level of inclusion to a higher value. VIANDE DE DROMADAIRE : DES MARQUEURS DE QUALITE POUR UNE MEILLEURE PERCEPTION DU CONSOMMATEUR
No full textEn Algérie, l'utilisation des dromadaires est devenue essentielle pour répondre à la demande en protéines animales et réduire les importations de viande. La viande de dromadaire a une excellente valeur nutritionnelle, avec un faible taux de graisses et de cholestérol, elle fournit tous les acides aminés essentiels et est notamment riche en vitamine B12. Elle est considérée comme une viande « non conventionnelle », caractérisée par une tendance de consommation régionale. Surmonter cette limitation régionale nécessite de maîtriser sa qualité et sa perception par les consommateurs non autochtones. Cette étude vise à étudier l'impact de l'âge d'abattage et du temps post-mortem sur la qualité de la viande de dromadaire. Douze dromadaires mâles de la population Sahraoui, de deux catégories d'âge, élevés dans la région de Ouargla, ont été utilisés pour le prélèvement du muscle Longissimus Lumborum. Les propriétés biochimiques de la viande ont été étudiées tout au long du processus d'attendrissage et les biomarqueurs potentiels de la qualité sensorielle ont été identifiés. Les résultats ont révélé des effets significatifs de l‘âge d‘abattage et du temps post-mortem sur les propriétés de la viande. Notamment, la viande des dromadaires jeunes présente une plus grande tendreté et une plus grande jutosité que celle des dromadaires adultes, ce qui se traduit par une appréciation globale plus élevés. De plus, les valeurs de pH et l‘indice de fragmentation myofibrillaire étaient plus élevés dans les muscles jeunes que dans ceux des adultes (p < 0,001), ce qui indique une protéolyse plus élevées. La viande d'adulte présente les valeurs les plus faibles de capacité de rétention d'eau après 6 heures de stockage post-mortem, tandis que la perte à la cuisson n'était pas affectée par l'âge. De plus, le pH à 6h postmortem, l'indice de fragmentation myofibrillaire, les fragments d'actine et de troponine T étaient positivement corrélés à la tendreté, à la jutosité, à la saveur et à l'appréciation globale de la viande. The Impact of Trade Openness on the Algerian Environment During the Period (1970-2020) Using Combined CoIntegration Test
Get PDFThe main aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of trade openness onenvironmental quality in Algeria over the period 1970-2020 using the combined co-integration testpresented by Bayer and Hanck (2013). Thus, this study uses an augmented STIRPAT model withthe introduction of trade openness in addition to quadratic and cubic economic growth in order totest the N shape of environmental Kuznets curve. Accordingly, the results revealed that tradeopenness negatively affect the CO2 emissions both in short and long run. Moreover, the outcomesconfirmed the existence of the N shape of environmental Kuznets curve in Algeria but only in thelong run term. Besides, it was concluded that neither the short-term nor the long-term effects ofenergy consumption on CO2 emissions were very significant. Manga, With Madly Represent Madness in the Contemporary Works of Japanese Pop Culture for Young People (1980-2020)
No full textRepresenting madness is not a Western prerogative; Japanese works are full of madmen, both megalomaniac and paranoid. In the twentieth century, the international boom of Japanese works intended for the general public made certain demented figures iconic characters of pop culture. Some of them have greater visibility in the media; this is the case of the Pokémon license where the player controls a child confronted with failing adult figures. In the world of manga and Japanese animation, some authors have built part of their reputation on their ability to stage human figures who are tortured, even demented; in the shōnen publications, we can quote the characters of the manga Yu-Gi-Oh! by Kazuki Takahashi with split personalities, the hunters, both of treasures and heads, of HunterXHunter by Yoshihiro Togashi who compete with a cruelty close to madness, without forgetting the characters of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki who largely influenced the two previous ones. Japanese television has aired works like Neon Genesis Evangelion where the mental state of the heroes is a central theme. Among seinen publications, the work of mangaka Naoki Urasawa includes a number of “deranged ones”, especially in Monster where the depths of human psychology are explored. All these occurrences of mad people are an opportunity to take an interest in the place of madness in manga as well as the means of representing it, while implicitly questioning the impact that these figures can have on readers or spectatorsReprésenter la folie n’est pas un apanage occidental ; les œuvres japonaises regorgent de fous, tant mégalomaniaques que paranoïaques. Au vingtième siècle, l’essor international des œuvres japonaises destinées au grand public a fait de certaines figures démentes des personnages iconiques de la pop culture.
