Satoshi Kon (1963-2010) is an acclaimed director who left a unique signature in the world of cinema, a legacy that reached overseas influencing some of the most renowned Hollywood representatives such as Darren Arronofsky (1969) and Christopher Nolan (1970). His films are characterized by a narrative that blends dreams and reality in order to explore the psychology of individuals attempting to adapt to modern life. His magnum opus Perfect Blue (1997) is considered a mainstay of the psycho-thriller genre in the Japanese animation. Taking inspirations from Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958), and Dario Argento’s Suspiria (1977), Kon manages to create a complex work about the main character Mima Kirgoe and her slow decline into insanity as she switches careers from a J-Pop Idol to a professional actress, until finding her personal identity. With an analytical method, We try to approach the film from a Psychoanalytical angle for the purpose of shedding the light on an interestingly portrayed mental disorder: “Dissociative Identity Disorder”, which Mima goes through dragging along secondary characters, and the viewer with her in an abyss of shared psychosis. Kon’s exquisite artistry relies mainly on film transition techniques and symbolic imagery to establish the characters’mental worlds; creating a trompe-l’œil effect that completely absorbs the spectators and conveys the messages with subtlety.

The subject, in this research, will be accentuated on the impacts of wearing a mask on the teaching of a foreign language at university. From the outbreak of covid-19, and as part of the measures taken to limit any type of spread of the virus, indoor classes require the wearing of this face covering which is part of the barrier gestures to ensure protection. precisely in case it is difficult to respect physical distance in university establishments in Tunisia. Learning a foreign language, for it to be as beneficial as possible, should be offered in a serene setting, taking into account the emotional aspects to ensure good receptivity. The process of learning the foreign language, French is generally dominated by anxiety for a Tunisian learner because of several effects. The interaction presents a stress factor by generating a destabilization in the learner for whom, even reading aloud presents a generator of anxiety. The use of pedagogical benevolence on the part of the teacher by positively welcoming each speech and by properly managing its verbal dimension as well as its non-verbal and paraverbal dimensions, could offer the learner a space of security. Our contribution focuses on the difficulties presented by the wearing of the anti-covid face mask, mainly by the teacher, in the context of the teaching-learning of French for an adult Tunisian public. On the one hand, its wearing presents a necessity for health reasons, on the other hand, it causes embarrassment for the learner.

Androcentric Biases and Demystification of Gender Stereotypes in Ma Traquée by Ibrahim Fioko

    No full text
Ibrahim FIOKO’s Ma traquée depicts a phallocratic space that refrains from the emergence of more balanced social relations between the sexes. Faced with her reification, the sterile woman also finds herself ostracized and subjected to the cult of essentialism. Therefore, what variations articulate androcentric biases with regard to the banishment of women? Moreover, can we not see in the end of FIOKO’s story the affirmation of an imperative of living together erected against any essentialist vision of gender relations? The deciphering of this problematic is carried out in the light of an eclectic approach whose epistemological springs are the approach of femininity, linguistic pragmatics and sociocriticism. Built around three axes, the study first looks at the aesthetic and ethical foundations that underlie gender stereotypes before revealing the model of society postulated by the Fiokosian novel.

Words Against Evils in Les Soleils des indépendances (1968) by Ahmadou Kourouma

    No full text
The purpose of this article is to show how an African author, in this case Ahmadou Kourouma, uses the language of the colonizer, transforms it, Africanises it and the violent one to face the violence of the independence, that is to say the economic, political and social changes of the era of African independence. Indeed, the author proposes to use the violence of words to combat physical, moral and psychological violence in the era of dictatorship. Thus, the malinkisation of French is surely a means of making oneself heard by Africans, it is also a means of restoring the local culture and a way of anchoring oneself in its roots while avoiding boring the reader.

    No full text
The efforts made by a young scientific journal to impose itself on the market of intellectual production are only meritorious as soon as it opens up to interdisciplinarity. Starting in search of humble recognition or modest success from the international scientific community, the journey of such a journal is a real test of resilience. Confronting criticism is the first of the difficulties that free a young journal from its own pretensions and encourage both its legitimate ambitions provided that it agrees to build, deconstruct and rebuild tirelessly according to the requirements of scientific research.
