The Social and Human Sciences Research Units in Oran URASC: History and Memory of an Academic and Educational Scientific Itinerary

    No full text
This contribution focuses on one of the first Research Centers created after Independence, on the occasion of the first reform of the Algerian University. We deal with, in the chosen form of the “life story”, the construction of the National Center for Historical Studies of Algiers (1971-1992). Our goal is to highlight the emergence of the first core of Algerian researchers in parallel with the promotion of Research Centers in Algeria. One of the markers of the historical itinerary of this center is the continuity of the research started with a colonial creation organization (CARAPE) to end up, via CRAPE and CNEH, with an Algerianized research center (CNRPAH), active in several spheres of the social and human sciencesCette contribution porte sur l’un des premiers Centres de recherches créé après l’Indépendance, à l’occasion de la première réforme de l’Université algérienne.

The Saharan oasis; what is it then? if not the ineffable encounter of the original man, the primitive sand and the primordial palm tree that the substantial water has been able to profoundly merge, thus protecting from absolute dispersion the supreme forces of terrestrial life. This spectacle, a sand painting simply gives an intimate awareness of it and makes it admirably comprehensible to the affect and intellect of the person and the individual who are willing to lend themselves momentarily to a quiet passion for provocative signs. A vulgar scene of life projects the state of mind of a sensitivity too long contained: three men and a palm tree in the heart of the surrounding sands. The harbingers of an eternity awaiting metamorphosis, in search of cosmic harmon

This study aims to try to shed light on diagnosing the reality of climate change and foodsecurity in Algeria. This climate change has become one of the most prominent problems facingdecision-makers in the Algerian government, especially as its effects have become evident onwater resources and food that relies on it for growth. Our study found that Algeria is increasinglyfacing, every year, severe climate phenomena that gradually increase its fragility, which negativelyled to lower agricultural crops and nutritional quality due to drought, heat waves and floods. Thismade it unable to achieve food security for its population, as well as increased pests and plantdiseases. This is what the country witnessed in 2023, registering a decline in different cropscompared to previous years

The study seeks research on the subject of public eloquence in ancient Arabliterature based on the theoretical foundations, cognitive foundations andprocedural concepts referred to by Egyptian scholar Imad Abdelatif in histheoretical construction of the field of public eloquence in literature, throughwhich it aims to fill two knowledge gaps, one that aspires to examine thereal-life audience's responses to a particular literature, A gap seeks toillustrate the public's eloquence in narrative and prose literary texts From thestudy of characters, spaces and places and their symbols, this is what wehave achieved in this study by adopting public eloquence in literature andchoosing "Mimon Al-Wasati talks with pilgrims Ben Youssef Al-Thaqfi" amodel for exploring public rhetoric in ancient Arab literature And weemphasized that crazy literature, councils, stereotypes, evidence and debatesare fertile speeches that generate eloquent features of responses. We havereached a palm of old texts that we can study by adopting the public'srhetoric. Our research has reached a higher conclusion, namely, that thepublic's eloquence includes various approaches and textual and contextualtheories in critical analysis of speech. policy ", which aspires to dismantleauthoritarian discourses and indicate the eloquent, null and void and criticalresponses they generat

An Algerian Experience University Course, Training and Research in Anthropology

    No full text
I propose to address through this article a personal experience through which I will try to relate my student course in anthropology at the Algerian university as well as that of researcher within an Algerian institution of research in social and cultural anthropology. (CRASC). From my studies as a student in anthropology and my career as a permanent researcher, I will try to relate my passage through three essential stages essential in the field of research in anthropology:u Theoretical training, v Empirical training, w Training in scientific writing (which allows you to promote the results of your research). And I will conclude my communication by trying to discuss the outlets for training in anthropology in Algeria. In Algeria, it was not until the beginning of the 21st century before post-graduation training in social and cultural anthropology was taught at the university. I had the honor of being one of the students who chose to follow this training, joining in January 2001 the first post-graduation promotion in social and cultural anthropology supervised by the National Center for Research in Social Anthropology and Cultural (CRASC - Oran) in partnership with the University of Constantine. Four other courses of magisterial training in anthropology followed during the first two decades of the year 2000, making fruitful the partnership of CRASC with various universities located across the various regions of the country; whereas the first doctorates in anthropology began to be supported and that training of licenses in anthropology began to be taught in certain Algerian universitiesJe propose d’aborder à travers cet article une expérience personnelle dans laquelle j’essayerai de relater objectivement mon parcours d’étudiant en anthropologie à l’Université algérienne ainsi que celui de chercheur permanent au sein du CRASC – une Institution algérienne de recherche en Anthropologie Sociale et Culturelle.

LETHESCA – Malek Bennabi’s Seminar History and Memory of a Center of Influence of the Thought of an Algerian

    No full text
This contribution is based on an interview, long awaited since the 50th anniversary of the death of the Algerian thinker Malek Bennabi (1905-1973). Today, the time has come to concretize this project of a philosophical talk with Abderrahmane Benamara, author of several works on the thinker. In the discreet form of a brief interview, this meeting constitutes the unexpected opportunity to retrace the journey of Malek Bennabi, to follow the path of his avant-garde thought, to list all of his extraordinarily at odds with each other. For this reason, this modest contribution has the only legitimate claim to assert what academically it is agreed to designate as the Places and Spaces of the Transmission Outside the Establishment of the Knowledge and Knowledge of Algerians (LETHESCA) - places that have always been able to welcome with a touch of nostalgia the Private Seminars of Malek Bennabi. A veritable breeding ground, Bennabian knowledge constitutes the first milestones of the International Seminars on Islamic Thought organized periodically from the fourth seminar on Islamic thought by the successive Ministries of Mouloud Kacem Nait Belkacem (January 6, 1927 – August 27, 1992) – Minister of Habous (1970), Minister of Original Education and Religious Affairs (1970-1977), Minister to the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Religious Affairs (1977-1979).Cette contribution repose sur un entretien, tant attendu depuis le 50e anniversaire de la disparition du penseur algérienMalek Bennabi (1905-1973).

The Date Palm through the Generations A Saga of Life and Traditions

    No full text
The text explores the complex relationship between writing, the desert, and the date palm through various literary and cultural perspectives. It begins by comparing the works of renowned artists like Picasso, Delacroix, and Dali, and their lasting impact, with the work of writers and artists such as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Paul Bowles, and Wilfred Thesiger. All these artists have drawn inspiration from the desert, a mysterious and captivating environment. The text highlights the significance of the date palm, not only as a powerful symbol of resilience and prosperity in arid environments but also as a source of inspiration in poetry, stories, fables, theater, and songs. In Algeria, the date palm is deeply rooted in culture and economy, representing both a symbol of life and a connection to cultural heritage. Using the figure of an acrostic, the text celebrates the date palm as a majestic tree offering shade, beauty, and delight. It then presents an epic in three parts illustrating the importance of the date palm through three generations of characters: an old man, a guardian of traditions, and a young harvester. Each character represents a different stage in the relationship between communities and the date palm, emphasizing both the continuity of traditions and the innovation needed for the future. In summary, the date palm is presented as a symbol of resilience, heritage, and transformation, connecting the past, present, and future across generations and cultural context

This study investigated the relationships between invertebrates and weed plants in an experimentalcorn plot in the El Harrach suburb during July-September 2022. Three sampling techniques were employed:Barber pitfall traps, sweep nets, and Japanese umbrellas (beating tray) combined with handpicking. Acomprehensive inventory of invertebrate fauna on weeds was compiled. Among the 65 identified speciesbelonging to 47 families, 14 orders, and 6 classes, Insecta was the dominant class. Using the Japanese umbrellatechnique, 8 invertebrate species were trapped on four host plant species: Xanthium strumarium, Malvamultiflora, Amaranthus sp., and Chenopodium album.
