A Sociological Approach to Family habilitation and Prevention: A Conceptual and Methodological Perspective

    Get PDF
Family habilitation and prevention constitute a contemporary sociological approach to studying the family amid modern transformations, viewing it as a social actor striving to achieve balance between traditional values and the demands of modernity. habilitation goes beyond the technical dimension, representing a socio-cultural process aimed at developing family capacities, as well as adaptive and communicative skills, to ensure protection against disintegration and deviance. From a sociological perspective, habilitation is understood as a system of socialization and reintegration, intertwined with the concepts of competence, ability, and skill, contributing to the renewal of the family’s social and cultural capital.    This approach is structured around four interrelated levels: a conceptual level, which clarifies key terms; a theoretical level, which employs the frameworks of Bourdieu (habitus and symbolic violence), Durkheim (social integration), and Goffman (management of family roles); a practical level, which proposes training programs in communication, conflict management, parenting education, and digital family qualification; and an evaluative level, which relies on quantitative and qualitative indicators to assess impact.    This vision seeks to reconstruct family culture on participatory and humanistic foundations, combining moral and institutional efficiency, and contributing to the design of social policies that protect the family and enhance its ability to adapt positively to the challenges of modernity, digitalization, and gender transformation

Sufism Methods and aspects in Southern Algeria and their Civilized Role in Sub-Saharan Africa

    Get PDF
This research paper explores the role of Sufi orders in southern Algeria and their civilizational impact in Sub-Saharan Africa. These orders found fertile ground for their religious, ethical, and educational activities, eventually establishing local branches and gaining widespread acceptance both regionally and across Sub-Saharan Africa. Through merchants, preachers, travelers, and migrants, they spread Islam using unique approaches. Alongside the spread of Islam, they promoted the Arabic language, which some Africans mastered to the extent that they became teachers of it and adopted it as a prominent language in their countries. Arab-Islamic civilization flourished, and the Sufi orders actively combated lingering pagan practices despite the region’s conversion to Islam. They also declared jihad against paganism and European colonization. In Sub-Saharan Africa, they established zawiyas (religious lodges), new Sufi paths led by local Africans, schools, Quranic study circles, and Islamic outposts. They also founded Islamic armies to protect their followers and institutions. These Sufi orders spread so widely that it is rare to find a Muslim in Sub-Saharan Africa not affiliated with one, particularly the Qadiriyya, Tijaniya, and Sanusiya order

The study aimed to identify the level of soft competencies among students of the Higher School of Teachers in Ouargla, where the exploratory descriptive approach was used to suit the purposes of the study, and (70) students studying in the final sections at all levels and disciplines were randomly selected. To collect the study data, a questionnaire consisting of 6 dimensions (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, adequacy of relationships responsible decision-making, teamwork) was built and verified for its validity and consistency. The results of the study showed that the level of soft competencies among students The Higher School of Teachers was average, and there were no statistically significant differences in the soft competencies of the students of the Higher School of Teachers due to the difference in educational level and specialization. Through the results of the study and its limitations, we recommended building a training program in order to raise the level of soft competencies of the students of the Higher School of Teachers using the experimental curriculu

ANALYSIS OF ALEPPO PINE VITALITY AT CHETTABA USING NDVI

    Get PDF
The study was carried out in the Chettaba state forest, located in the Constantine region (north-east Algeria), to analyze the dendrometry structure and ecological dynamics of Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis Mill.) stands in a semiarid Mediterranean context. Three representative stations were selected to characterize structural and physiological variations in the stands, based on field measurements and spectral data from the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) collected in 2024. The dendrometry results show a density of 312-725 stems/ha and a basal area of 22.46-41.32 m²/ha. This progression reflects the accumulation of woody biomass and structural differentiation, with differentiation increasing with increasing competition. Low-density stands are distinguished by higher average diameters (D = 29.85 cm), reflecting mature, well-balanced individuals, while denser stands feature more slender stems and marked competition for light. The height/diameter (H/D) ratio, ranging from 31 to 39, indicates satisfactory mechanical stability and good structural balance. NDVI analysis reveals apparent seasonal variability, with a peak in vegetative vigor in June (mean NDVI = 0.248), followed by a decline in August and October (NDVI ≈ 0.19), linked to summer water stress and leaf senescence. Statistical tests (Friedman and Nemenyi) confirm highly significant differences between periods of active growth and phases of vegetative rest. The convergence of dendrometry and spectral analyses reveals a positive correlation between stand vigor and NDVI, underscoring that medium-density stands (around 400 stems/ha) exhibit the highest productivity and ecological resilience. These results demonstrate the relevance of integrating field measurements and satellite indicators for monitoring forest vitality and the sustainable management of semi-arid Mediterranean ecosystem

    UntranslatableTerms Intercultural Nuggets

    Get PDF
There are terms and expressions that defeat the most inventive translators. But remains the saving recourse to the infrapaginal notes which, when they explain that the concept, the idea, the reality designated by this or that other term is untranslatable, and when they try, somehow, often using from a long digression what is involved, open up intercultural paths to no other similar in the enrichment they bring in the translated languages, in the readers or why not listeners, non-native. There emerges the immense contribution of translation, which thus transcends this transposition from one language to another, in this step towards discovery, towards true enrichment, showing to the subjects of the different linguistic communities the fundamental differences on which they are built. the great senses, the true semantics, inexhaustible sources of wonder, but also of questioning and objective attempts at understandings, adhesions and civilizing impulses projected towards the other, the others in what they have of specific, authentically specific. Bridges will thus be thrown between the peoples who will surpass all the real bridges made much more to separate than to reunite. These terms impossible to translate are true nuggets of knowledge giving the full extent but also the need for translation, because far from all the narcissistic and ethnocentric affirmations, the men will understand, in this global village increasingly cramped and where reigns more and more deafness, that they have so much to learn from each other, especially through what differentiates them. &nbsp

The current paper represents a part of the obtained results of a wider project financed by “CREAD”. It deals with the problematic of social equity/exclusion in public transport networks using the physical coverage as an indicator to measure it. The case study was conducted in the Wilaya of Batna where 476 questionnaires have been distributed in 31 provinces that have been selected randomly. Researchers have tried to build a social equity/exclusion map of the Wilaya of Batna, by converting the digital outputs into graphical representations using a geographical information system (QGIS). The map has shown that many provinces are suffering from a weak physical coverage of the public transport network mainly in Ein Djasser, Boumia, Djerma, Tilatou and Tighergha
