Histórias da saúde global: a Organização Mundial da Saúde e a cooperação com atores não estatais
Get PDFThis study aims to trace the history of the World Health Organization’s engagement with non-state actors from its inception to approval of the World Health Organization’s Framework of Engagement with Non-State Actors. Exploratory documental research, with a qualitative approach, was carried out, with a review of the literature and institutional documents found in WHO Library. Findings showed an increase in number of actors in the International System and a reduction in the power of the World Health Organization and in the provision of financial resources by its Member States throughout the Organization’s history. A relationship was also found between the diversification in the types of actors in the international system and a reduction of World Health Organization’s influence in the processes of global health governance.Este artículo tiene como objetivo rastrear la historia de las relaciones de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) con actores no estatales desde su creación hasta la aprobación del Marco de Cooperación de la Organización Mundial de la Salud con Agentes No Estatales. Se llevó a cabo una investigación documental exploratoria con enfoque cualitativo, con revisión de la literatura y documentos institucionales encontrados en la Biblioteca de la OMS. Los resultados muestran un aumento en el número de actores en el Sistema Internacional y una reducción en el poder de la OMS y en la provisión de recursos financieros por parte de los Estados a lo largo de la historia de la Organización. También se encontró una relación entre la diversificación de los tipos de actores enel sistema internacional y una reducción de la influencia de la Organización Mundial de la Salud en los procesos de gobernanza sanitaria mundial.Esse artigo tem por objetivo traçar o histórico das relações da Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) com os atores não estatais desde a sua criação até a aprovação do Marco de Cooperação da Organização Mundial da Saúde com Agentes Não Estatais. foi realizada, uma pesquisa documental exploratória, de abordagem qualitativa, com revisão de literatura e de documentos institucionais encontrados na Biblioteca da OMS. Get PDFThis article reflects on the assumptions of Art-Based Health Research based on the experience of the Art and Health project in the public agency health of the Madrid City Council. Research in the field of art and health has a long trajectory that allows a critical analysis of the contributions and also a reflection on the transcendence and impact of such research. The article gathers aspects of Arts-Based Health Research, which is based on arts-based research, and which raise theoretical, methodological and ethical questions and conflicts. The work developed in Madrid’s health since 2011 allows a review from the practice of these issues and a wide field of experimentation to reflect on the challenges of this research approach.Este artículo reflexiona sobre los supuestos de la investigación en salud basada en las artes (Art-Based Health Research) a partir de la experiencia del Proyecto Arte y Salud en el organismo público Madrid Salud del Ayuntamiento de Madrid. Las investigaciones en el ámbito del arte y la salud tienen una amplia trayectoria que permite un análisis crítico de los aportes y también una reflexión sobre su trascendencia e impacto. El artículo recoge aspectos de la investigación en salud basada en las artes, que se sustenta en la investigación basada en las artes y que plantean cuestiones y conflictos teóricos, metodológicos y éticos. El trabajo desarrollado en Madrid Salud desde en 2011 permite una revisión desde la práctica de estas cuestiones y un amplio campo de experimentación para reflexionar sobre los retos de este enfoque de investigación

Get PDFThe use of non-biodegradable waste such as glass and plastic in the construction industry has received significant attention for a cleaner environment. This work presents a study of bricks’; mechanical properties containing aggregates, glass, and polyethylene terephthalate pellets. The bricks were melted at a temperature up to 240 ° C for 3 hours and cooled by natural convection. The results showed that an increase in the content of glass and aggregates generates an increase in density, being higher in the samples with a higher aggregates content. The same trend was observed in compressive strength. The sample with the highest aggregates’; content showed an improvement of 243% compared to the reference (preparedonly with plastic). The results indicated that carbon dioxide emissions decreased by around 30% in the prepared samples, compared to traditional bricks. The use of plastic and glass waste in brick production is expected to become a recovery route.El uso de desechos no biodegradables como el vidrio y el plástico en la industria de la construcción ha recibido atención significativa para un medio ambiente más limpio. Este trabajo presenta un estudio de las propiedades mecánicas de ladrillos que contienen agregados, vidrio y pellets de tereftalato de polietileno. Los ladrillos se fundieron a 240 °C durante 3 horas y se enfriaron por convección natural. Los resultados mostraron que un aumento en el contenido de vidrio y agregados genera un incremento en la densidad, que es superior en las muestras con mayor contenido de agregados. La misma tendencia se observó en la resistencia a la compresión: la muestra con mayor contenido de agregados mostró una mejora del 243 % comparada con la referencia (preparada solo con plástico). Los resultados indicaron que las emisiones de dióxido de carbono disminuyeron alrededor del 30 % en las muestras preparadas, en comparación con los ladrillos tradicionales. Se espera que el uso de residuos de plástico y vidrio en la producción de ladrillos se convierta en una ruta para su valorización

Get PDFThis article presents a political reflection on HIV-aids, structured in four moments: First, an approach to life policies where the action of necropolitics, bio power, biopolitics and bio privacy in relation to HIV-aids is revealed; second, it addresses a political anthropology of the body, which warns of the different forms of power, violence and truth experienced by people living with HIVAIDS; third, an approach to the way in which a moral economy of punishment is reproduced, where normative, medical-sanitary, elements of life, body and society are articulated; Fourth, it is proposed to repoliticize HIV-aids, in order to provide inputs to build a different social order for people living with that reality.Este artículo presenta una reflexión política acerca del VIH-sida, estructurada en cuatro momentos: primero, una aproximación a las políticas de la vida donde se devela el actuar de la necropolítica, el biopoder, la biopolítica y biolegitimidad en relación con el VIH-sida; segundo, se aborda una antropología política del cuerpo, la cual advierte las distintas formas de poder, violencia y verdad que experimentan las personas que viven con VIH-sida; tercero, un acercamiento al modo en que se reproduce una economía moral del castigo, donde se articulanelementos normativos, médico-sanitarios, de la vida, el cuerpo y la sociedad; cuarto, se propone repolitizar el VIH-sida a fin de brindar insumos que permitan construir un orden social diferente para las personas que viven con dicha realidad

The semiotics of the untold story in the novel “The Crow’s Leg” by Yahya Amqasem
Get PDFThrough our study of the subject of the semiotics of the untold story in the novel “The Crow’s Leg”, we aimed to show the image of the religious, moral and political prohibitions through the intersection of discourses with the social and cultural levels highlighted by the semantic context in the discourse. The study used the semiotic approach that highlights the mechanisms of the narrative discourse operating on the semiotic dimensions and the significance of the untold story through the strategy of the raised issues (religion–politics–ethics). At the end of our study we get to the importance of the semiotic dimensions that extend from the signifier to the signified by devoting the untold story theme more deeply through the significance of the religious prohibition , in which we focus on the centrality of women and the mixing with men in many domains that are considered by the principality as forbidden by Sharia, which we dealt with as a religious prohibition. Afrontamiento familiar y su relación con el bienestar infantil y familiar: estudio sobre familias en condición de vulnerabilidad
Get PDFThe objective of this study was to establish the relationship between the perception of family coping strategies and the perception of family and child well-being in families in vulnerable conditions. The research is quantitative with a cross-sectional analytical design. 113 families were evaluated through questionnaires on family coping and well-being; the children also completed a child welfare inventory. Results showed that children report the highest moderate average score in family well-being, followed by fathers and finally mothers. For family coping, mothers demonstrated higher average coping levels, followed by fathers and children. Bivariate correlations indicated significant relationships between child well-being (IBI), family coping coping (Family Coping Index -FAMCI), and perceived general well-being. The discussion focuses on the mother as a promoter of well-being within the family, the stressors that families suffer and the relationship with experiences of displacement in the past that influence the selected coping strategies.El objetivo de este estudio fue establecer la relación entre la percepción de las estrategias de afrontamiento familiar y la percepción de bienestar familiar e infantil en familias en condición de vulnerabilidad. La investigación es de corte cuantitativo con diseño analítico transversal. Se evaluaron 113 familias a través de cuestionarios sobre afrontamiento y bienestar familiar; adicionalmente, los hijos diligenciaron un inventario de bienestar infantil. Los resultados demostraron que los hijos reportan mayor puntuación media moderada en bienestar familiar, seguido de los padres y, finalmente, las madres. Para el afrontamiento familiar, las madres demostraron niveles de afrontamiento promedio más alto, seguidas de los padres y los hijos. Las correlaciones bivariadas indicaron relaciones significativas entre el bienestar infantil (IBI), el afrontamiento familiar (Family Coping Index - FAMCI) y el bienestar general percibido. La discusión se concentra en la madre como promotora del bienestar al interior de la familia, los estresores que la familia padece y la relación con experiencias de desplazamiento en el pasado que influyen en las estrategias de afrontamiento seleccionadas
