Level Of Physical Activity And Pain Scale In Elderly At Posyandu Lansia Mekar Sari Surabaya

with pain scale. Methods : An observational analytical study with a cross sectional approach was used for the study. The respondents were elderly people who visited Posyandu Lansia Mekar Sari Surabaya from 29th July until 11th October in 2017. Data of physical activities were collected
by interviewing the respondents with questions taken from International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). They were also asked to point which scale matched their pain problem best on the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) card. The results of the questionnaire was examined by Rank Spearman Test. Result : There was no significant relationship found in between the two variables (p=0,328). Conclusion : The elderly people at Posyandu Lansia Mekar Sari Surabaya were active and mostly has mild and moderate scale of pain
Level Knowledge Of Cataract, Education, And Sosioeconomic Status With Preoperative Visual Acuity In Patients With Senile Cataract In Phc Hospital Of Surabaya
Introduction : Cataract is a cloudiness in the fibers or lens material inside the lens capsule. If the cataract was not treated immediately, the patient might experience blindness. Aim: This study aimed to analyze the correlation between the level of knowledge about cataract, education, and socioeconomic status with preoperative visual acuity in patients with senile cataract in hospital PHC Surabaya. Methods : This study was observational analytic with sampling through accidental sampling. The sample of the study was senile cataract patients preoperatively on August 24th to 27th September 2016. The variables of the study was the level of knowledge about cataract, education level, socioeconomic status, and preoperative visual acuity. Data analysis used Spearman correlation test. Results : Results obtained preoperatively senile cataract patients was highest in the age group 60-64 years (28%) and the lowest in the age group 75-79 years (6%). By gender, patients of senile cataract was highest in the group of male (52%) than female (48%). There was a significant correlation between the level of knowledge about cataract (p = 0.008) and level of education (p=0,006) with preoperative visual acuity in patients with senile cataract. There was no correlation between socioeconomic status with preoperative visual acuity in patients with senile cataract (p = 0.124). Conclusion : The results showed that the factors affecting patients in seeking treatment of cataract was the level of knowledge about cataract and level of education. Patients with a good level of knowledge and good education were expected to recognize the symptoms of cataracts immediately and could search for cataract treatment to prevent blindness

Aim : The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of application modified anti tension tape (Hypafix®) with the scar quality measured by Vancouver Scar Scale .
Methods : This is an observational analytic study using primary data and Cohort study method. The sample in this study were 32 people divided into 2 groups treatment and control group with Non-probability - Consecutive sampling as a data collection techniques. The statistical test used is chi square.
Results : From 16 samples treatment group, 14 samples have a good scar quality, 2 samples have a medium/bad scar quality. From 16 samples control group, 5 samples have a good scar quality, 11 samples fall into medium/bad scar quality. Chi square score p= 0,004
Conclusion : There is a positive significant effect between the application modified anti tension tape (Hypafix®) with the scar quality measured by Vancouver Scar Scal

Introduction: The prevalence of accidental falls rises as age increases. Mental issues also contribute to the increase risk of falling. Depression is one of the mental health illness that usually occur in elderly. This can worsen the physical condition and increase morbidity and mortality rate in elderly. Antibacterial Effect Of Muntingia Calabura L. Leaf Extract To Pseudomonas Aeruginosa
Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen which can cause infection in every part of the human body lacking normal defense. This bacteria is one of the leading cause of nosocomial infection in Indonesia. Treating infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa is now more challenging due to its resistance to many classes of antibiotics. On the other hand, Muntingia calabura L. is a genus of plants in the family Elaeocarpaceae, which is spread widely throughout South East Asia, including Indonesia. Some of the researches in the past show antibacterial properties of these plants. Aim: to determine the antibacterial effect of Muntingia calabura L. Leaf extract to Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Method: This research is an experimental study using in vitro technique and non-equivalent control group design. The method used in this study was microdilution in 96-well microplate and concentrations of Muntinga calabura L. Leaf extract used in this study were 50-800mg/mL. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) was measured by a spectrophotometer, while Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) was observed by direct streaking to the agar plate. Result: MIC value was found at the concentration range of 400-800 mg/mL, while MBC was found at concentration 800 mg/mL. Conclusion: There is a potential bactericidal effect of Muntingia calabura L. Correlation Between Candida Albicans Colonization Growth And The Addition Of 5%, 10% And 40% Dextrose Level On Saboraud Dextrose Agar
Introduction : Candida albicans is normal flora that can be found on skin, oral mucosa and digestive tract. This organism are commensal or non pathogenic, but when there is other predisposition factor, this commensal tendency may become pathogenic to the human body. In Diabetes Mellitus patients with high blood sugar level can affect Candida Albicans infection events.
Aim: The purpose of this research is to prove whether there is a correlation between Candida Albicans colonization growth and the addition of 5%, 10% and 40% Dextrose level on Saboraud Dextrose Agar (SDA).
Method: This research is a true experimental research with post test only group design observed in 11 days. Samples are from 15 strains of Candida Albicans cultured in Saboraud Dextrose Agar without the addition of Dextrose, with the addition of Dextrose 5%, 10% and 40% in eleven days and the development were noted. The growth of Candida albicans is observed from the diameter growth.

Analysis Of Antibacterial Effect Of Curcuminoid With Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles On Staphylococcus Epidermidis
Introduction: The rate of antibiotic resistance in Staphylococcus epidermidis is high. The previous study shows that 79% of Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria isolated were resistant to Methicillin, while 98% were resistant to Penicillin. The active substance Curcuminoid in Turmeric is known to have an antibacterial effect. Nowadays, nanoparticle-based medicine has been developed which can increase bioavailability and solubility in the water, as well as the cellular uptake. Aim: The study aimed to analyze the inhibitory and killing effect of Curcuminoid from Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) with mesoporous silica nanoparticles against Staphylococcus epidermidis Methods: This research performs a microdilution test of Curcuminoid with mesoporous silica nanoparticles at concentration 2000 – 32000 μg/mL against Staphylococcus epidermidis on the microplate. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) were obtained from its optical density value after evaluating its turbidity on the spectrophotometer. Results: In this research found the MIC of Curcuminoid with mesoporous silica nanoparticles against Staphylococcus epidermidis was at the concentration of 32000 μg/mL. Gymnastic Frequency And Insomnia Level In Elderly At Bhakti Luhur Nursing Home Tropodo
Background: Aging is a natural process that cannot be avoided and this process will cause body changes in the elderly which leads to degenerative problems, one of them is sleep disorder. Increasing sleep hygiene is one of many ways to reduce sleep disorder. Sleep hygiene is the life style of the elderly that cause better sleep quality. Gymnastic in the elderly is a mild aerobic excercise that increases parasimpatic activity that leads to adrenalin, norepinephrine, catecolamin level decreasing and vasodilatation of blood vessels, these will cause oxygen transport throughout body, especially brain to lower blood pressure and causing relax effect and increasing the need of sleep in the elderly. Aim: This study goal is to examine the correlation between gymnastic frequency and insomnia level in elderly at Panti Werdha Bhakti Luhur Tropodo. Method: This study is an analytic study with the cross-sectional design and purposive sampling method. The primary data has been taken for 4 days from July 24 until 28, 2017 by: 1) using valid and reliable questionnaires about demographic data, level of insomnia, and cognitive status; 2) the secondary data for gymnastic frequency has been taken from April to June 2017. The study using the Spearman test. Result: The result showed the value of p=0,79, it can be concluded that there is no significant correlation between gymnastic frequency and insomnia level in elderly
