Anatomia del Disability manager
The essay proposes an interdisciplinary analysis of the structure of the Disability manager. Starting from the origins of this figure and from the examination of the reference legislation, we move on to the analysis of the training, still not fully defined, and to the functions referred to the various contexts of reference.
Without claiming to be exhaustive, but with some ambition, the research intends to offer an overall picture of the role and potential inherent in the professional figure; therefore, it aims to identify its location and evaluate its importance within the welfare system, particularly with regard to active labor market policies
Managing Oral Surgery in von Willebrand Disease: Lessons from a Challenging Case
Von Willebrand disease is a rare inherited bleeding disorder characterized by deficient or defective von Willebrand factor, crucial for platelet adhesion and aggregation. This case report aims to highlight the challenges of diagnosing undiagnosed von Willebrand disease in dental practice and to describe a multidisciplinary management approach to prevent life-threatening complications during oral surgery. A 32-year-old male with no significant medical history underwent surgical extraction of an impacted third molar. The patient experienced severe intraoperative bleeding unresponsive to standard local hemostatic measures. Subsequent hematological evaluation confirmed Type I von Willebrand disease. For the extraction of the remaining impacted molars, a tailored protocol was implemented, including preoperative administration of von Willebrand factor-containing factor VIII concentrates, tranexamic acid therapy, local hemostatic agents, and close perioperative monitoring in collaboration with hematology specialists. The initial procedure resulted in excessive bleeding, leading to the diagnosis of von Willebrand disease. Following the implementation of the multidisciplinary protocol, the patient underwent multiple extractions without immediate or delayed bleeding complications. Hemoglobin levels remained stable postoperatively, and the patient reported satisfactory pain control. Early identification and tailored management of bleeding disorders are critical in oral surgery to prevent severe hemorrhagic complications. A multidisciplinary approach involving dentists, oral surgeons, and hematologists ensures safe and effective care for patients with von Willebrand disease, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive preoperative assessments and structured treatment protocols
Oral and Long-acting Injectable Aripiprazole in Severe Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorder Comorbidity: An Updated Systematic Review
Background: Co-occurrence of substance use disorders is frequent in patients with mental health disorders is a condition known as “dual diagnosis”. The use of substances worsens the prognosis and lowers the quality of life of psychiatric patients. It also increases the risk of hospitalization and suicide rate. Objectives: To assess the effects of aripiprazole therapy on substance use and other psychiatric outcomes in dually diagnosed patients. Methods: We performed a systematic review conducted on 3 databases PUBMED, SCOPUS, and Web of Science, selecting original studies and analyzing the impact of aripiprazole therapy on dually diagnosed patients. Six hundred and fifty-five articles were founded and, after removing duplicates (n = 274) and applying the exclusion criteria, 12 articles were included in our systematic review. Results: 12 studies were included, among which 6 were Randomized Controlled Trials. The Most frequent psychiatric diagnosis were schizoaffective disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorders. Alcohol and cocaine use disorders were the most used substances. Eleven studies showed a clinical improvement after aripiprazole treatment. 8 studies evaluated craving and found a significant reduction after treatment with aripiprazole. No definitive conclusions can be drawn on substance usage and maintenance of abstinence. Conclusion: The present findings suggest aripiprazole may be associated with reducing substance craving and improving depression, psychosis, and schizoaffective disorders in dually diagnosed patients
TERRA DA NOSSA TERRA. CULTURA MATERIAL NO ALENTEJO. ARQUITETURA DE TERRA: ENTRE A CONSERVAÇÃO E A INOVAÇÃO
The volume, part of the “LANDSCAPE IN TRANSLATION” series, gathers a collection of texts documenting a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) focused on Mediterranean Vernacular Architecture, particularly the use of rammed earth (taipa). This inter-university project, held in 2024 in southern Portugal, aimed to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and experiential learning among architecture students.
The contributions examine the cultural and historical significance of earthen architecture—especially within the Alentejo region—while exploring its potential for sustainability and contemporary innovation. The authors challenge the notion of obsolescence by integrating traditional construction techniques with advanced technologies.
The volume also includes theoretical reflections on existential space and the primitive dwelling, as well as detailed accounts of the workshop’s practical phases, which involved the analysis of ruins and the development of design proposals for their reuse and enhancement
Principi dell’economia aziendale, adeguati assetti organizzativi, amministrativi e contabili e rischi ESG
L’art.

Dietary supplementation with Bacillus velezensis and Pichia guilliermondii improves growth performance through intestinal morphology and functionality enhancement in weaning piglets
: The post-weaning period in piglets is often associated with significant changes in intestinal structure and function, which can negatively affect growth and performance. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of dietary supplementations with prebiotics and/or probiotics on intestinal morphology and functionality during the post-weaning phase. Piglets were supplemented with different diets, including combinations of Pichia guilliermondii (prebiotic, PRE) and Bacillus velezensis (probiotic, PRO), and their growth performance, intestinal histology, and functionality were assessed. Growth performance was evaluated in the post-weaning period, with a notable improvement in weight gain observed in piglets receiving the combined prebiotic/probiotic supplementation. Morphometric analysis revealed significant differences in intestinal morphology, particularly in the small intestine. The PRE/PRO combination was most effective in improving villus size in the duodenum and ileum at early post-weaning stages, while the jejunum showed a greater sensitivity to weaning stress. Molecular analysis indicated diet-dependent changes in the expression of key markers involved in nutrient absorption and mucosal integrity, including SLC15A1 and TJP1. Additionally, 16S rRNA sequencing revealed diet-related changes in gut microbiota composition where α-diversity and β-diversity increased independently of the diets and, specific beneficial taxa (e.g., Lachnospiraceae) were enriched in the supplemented groups. These microbial shifts were consistent with the improved mucosal thickness observed in the colon, suggesting a potential contribution of microbial modulation to epithelial integrity of the large intestine. Overall, the results suggest that the synbiotic supplementation of prebiotics and probiotics can enhance intestinal integrity in both the small and large intestine, promote growth, and improve overall gut health in post-weaning piglets
