Comparison of different rock physics models for acoustic velocity

    Get PDF
Unlocking the secrets of rocks is an important task to explore, we require a deep understanding of rock physics. By describing the influence of rock physics on seismic velocities, we attempt to provide a comprehensive understanding of rock physics models and their application to predicting velocities. Throughout the discussion of the most used rock physics models. Moreover, we summarize the results of models using synthetic data to represent relationships between rock physics and elastic moduli. Knowing rock physics models for acoustic waves enhances the interpretation of seismic data, improves reservoir characteristics, aids in fluid identification, and supports uncertainty analysis. However, the choice of model depends on the specific properties of the rock and the application

INVESTIGATION OF REMESHING PARAMETERS FOR DEVIATION ANALYSIS IN REVERSE ENGINEERING

    Get PDF
The use of additive manufacturing technologies in industry is increasingly common, particularly with the emergence of Industry 4.0. These technologies can produce parts quickly and efficiently, but they also place higher demands on the quality of the manufactured products. The layer-by-layer processes create an anisotropic material model, which complicates component sizing. While the topic has been extensively researched, surface anisotropy has received less attention. The surface quality of a product may be affected by various factors, including the file conversion process or the staircase effect generated by the technology. Manufacturing parameters, such as layer thickness and orientation, can also have an impact. This paper focuses on the impact of reverse engineering step adjustment on surface quality

PROPOSAL OF PARAMETER CONTROL DESIGNATION SYSTEM OF ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED PARTS

    Get PDF
As additive manufacturing is getting more and more widespread, the need for a system regarding the technical documentation is getting more required. The tremendous amount of manufacturing parameters makes the performance of the part hard to assess. Same parameters are used with different names and there is no common knowledge of how these parameters affect the part precisely. We can find a serious amount of research data and results, but only a small portion of them is able to be compared because of the different measuring techniques or similar investigation of parameters. To be more effective with the data gathering, a systematic way of recording these aspects is needed. In this article we propose a robust way of recording information on technical drawings of additively manufactured parts. We also discuss the difficulties and future opportunities implemented by this method

The high level of standardization in the automotive industry may support avoiding the occurrence of common and unforeseen risks. There are several risk management methods available, but effective actions need to understand current challenges. Automotive risk management requires a comprehensive measure and evaluation approach. During the study, we examine the available methods and select the one suitable for the task. The aim of the research is to map the risk factors of managing the automotive industry for preparing a decision support model by a pilot study. Relative opinions in the field may contribute to developing company-level risk mitigation strategies and understanding supply chain level challenges.

Comprehensive investigation of the explicit, positivity preserving methods for the heat equation: Part 2

    Get PDF
In this paper-series, we investigate the performance of 12 explicit non-conventional algorithms in several 2D systems. All of them have the convex combination property, thus they are unconditionally stable and preserve the positivity of the solution when they are applied to the heat equation. In the first part of the series, we examined how the errors depend on the time step size and running times. Now we present additional numerical test results, where sweeps for parameters such as the stiffness and the wavelength of the initial function will be performed. In this paper-series, we investigate the performance of 12 explicit non-conventional algorithms in several 2D systems. This study examines the effectiveness of email marketing, informed by a literature review, and explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Highlighting research, AI is seen as a game-changer in automation, personalization, and content marketing, marking email marketing as a potent channel for high business ROI. The analysis centers on newsletters generated by both AI and human experts. Generation Z university students initially perceived AI-crafted content as more pertinent. However, a three-month study, analyzing 630,000 emails, revealed opposite findings, questioning AI's capability in producing compelling email content.

Spatial disparities in the centre of gravity in Central-Eastern Europe based on different socio-economic indicators

    No full text
The issue of territorial disparities is an interesting subject of study in Europe, as there are significant socio-economic disparities between regions, which do not disappear over time, despite substantial levels of funding. The Central-Eastern European region is lagging significantly behind the EU as a whole and the Western regions, with significant intra-country differences. This study aims to examine six countries in the Central-Eastern European region in terms of county-level gross value added and employment rates, examining the convergence processes in the region. In addition to the growth rates of the regions, the study examines the emergence of sigma and beta convergence phenomena, as well as the importance of spatial spillover effects and neighbourhood relations in catching up. I investigate the probability that the spatial distribution of each indicator is heterogeneous, which I also illustrate by the change in the spatial centre of gravity. Convergence studies highlight the internal convergence of the region but also draw attention to the impact of different crises on inequalities. The issue of territorial disparities is an interesting subject of study in Europe, as there are significant socio-economic disparities between regions, which do not disappear over time, despite substantial levels of funding. The burnishing process’s positive changes in the material’s properties are measured with different responses. Roughness, stress, and microstructure changes are the main indicators of the internal and external factors faced by the material. Burnishing process as a post-process of critical components to enhance different properties performed by applying pressure on the material to deform plastically for the expected properties enhancement is used in different industries. In this experimental work, C45 steel was face milled by single and multiple-inserts and burnished with a 6mm diameter synthetic diamond ball to study the effect of burnishing force on the surface topography. 3D roughness parameters were used as response parameters measured before and after the burnishing process by AltiSurf 520 of Altimet as they are more representative of topographic changes by different machining processes and procedures than profile roughness parameters. Roughness was reduced significantly after the burnishing process in both cases and a decreasing trend was observed when compared at the same burnishing force. The burnishing process’s positive changes in the material’s properties are measured with different responses.
