Get PDFPursuant to Article 25(3) of the Hungarian Fundamental Law, the Curia has a priority task to ensure the unity of the application of the law by the courts. Because of this legal provision, the supreme judicial body is responsible for directing the application of the law and for establishing and maintaining legal unity. In order to accomplish this task, several tools are at its disposal, among which a significant change occurred in 2020, which the Hungarian literature refers to with the introduction of a limited system of precedents. The aim of this study is to define the basic content of this limited system of precedents and to contrast the views of the literature surrounding the introduction of this system.Az Alaptörvény 25. cikk (3) bekezdése alapján a Kúria kiemelt feladata a bíróságok jogalkalmazásának egységét biztosítani. E jogszabályi rendelkezés okán a legfőbb bírói szerv felelős a jogalkalmazás irányításáért, a jogegység megteremtéséért és fenntartásáért. A feladat végrehajtása jegyében több eszköz is rendelkezésére áll, melyek körében 2020-ban következett be egy jelentős változás, amelyet a magyar szakirodalom a korlátozott precedensrendszerbevezetésének nevezi. Get PDFThis study is based on the findings of the book titled Acquisition of Agricultural Lands: Cross-border Issues from a Central European Perspective published at the end of 2022, which examines the national land laws of eight Central European countries. The authors of present paper aim to summarize and supplement the information presented in the aforementioned book. They provide insights into the specific national land laws of certain Central European countries, namely Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, and Romania, as well as outline the rules for the acquisition ofownership of agricultural and forest land. It’s important to note that this study does not cover the ʻspecificities of the European Union’, nor does it address infringement procedures or preliminary ruling procedures before the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning the land law regulations of the new Member States, as these topics were addressed in a previous issue of this journal.A tanulmány elkészítésének apropóját a 2022. év végén megjelent, nyolc ország nemzeti földjogát górcső alá vevő Acquisition of Agricultural Lands: Cross-border Issues from a Central European Perspective című kötet adta. Jelen tanulmány szerzőinek célja, hogy e kiadvány alapján összegezve, új információkkal kiegészítve bemutassák a közép-európai régió országai közül Magyarország, Szlovákia, Csehország, Lengyelország, Szerbia, Horvátország, Szlovénia és Románia nemzeti földjogi sajátosságait, valamint felvázolják a szóban forgó országok mezőgazdasági, illetve erdőgazdasági földszerzési szabályait. Fontosnak tartjuk rögzíteni, hogy az ʻuniós sajátosságok’, továbbá a földszerzési derogáció lezárásakor megalkotott, az új tagállamok földjogi szabályozására vonatkozó kötelezettségszegési eljárások, illetve az Európai Unió Bírósága előtt zajló előzetes döntéshozatali eljárások nem képezik jelen tanulmány tárgyát, tekintettel arra, hogy azok jelen folyóirat előző számában megjelent tanulmányban kerültek ismertetésre

Economic Growth and Firm Size Dynamics: Evidence from Romania’s Development Regions
Get PDFThe relationship between firms and economic growth is an intensely debated topic in the literature, emphasizing the impact of the large businesses or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in ensuring growth, innovation and employment, the role of support measures or social benefits. Although the importance of each category in growth and development is far from a consensus, there is a tacit recognition that each size-class of firms has a series of specific characteristics that can better influence certain aspects of development. A better knowing of them could help adapting and calibrating measures and policies according to specific objectives, stages or geographical areas. In this paper, we propose an econometric approach to the relationship between economic growth (by GDP evolution) and the dynamics of the firms’ sector, by size class, at the level of the development regions of Romania. We found that the effect of the number of enterprises in each size class similarly influences the GDP, regardless of the region, with a more pronounced positively impact in the case of micro- and small enterprises and ambiguous in the case of medium-sized enterprises
OPTIMIZATION OF MULTI-CRITERIA DECISION-MAKING FOR DENTAL IMPLANT SELECTION
Get PDFThe long-term biomechanical performance of dental implants is significantly influenced by material composition, anticipated loads, and the geometry of the interface between the implant and the bone. This study applies multi-criteria decision-making methods to select an optimal construction strategy. Through finite element analysis, variables such as implant geometry and stress distribution during loading are integrated into the decisionmaking process. By processing the results of alternative implants, we ranked these alternatives using an Excel implementation of the VIKOR decision support method commonly used in the literature. Results indicate that the optimal stress distribution depends on the size and shape of the implant. Selecting symmetric fixation points and optimal distances may enhance implant stability and long-term performance

Get PDFIn the spring of 2022, the Institute for People-Environment Transaction at ELTE PPK conducted a representative survey on the pro-environmental behaviours of the Hungarian population. The survey explored the frequency of different pro-environmental behaviours that can be applied in everyday life, the areas in which people plan to make their lifestyles more environmentally friendly in the near future, and the areas in which they consider it easy or difficult to make their lifestyles more environmentally friendly. In addition, the study also sought to identify the perceived barriers that Hungarian adults face in relation to greening their lifestyles. The key message from the results is that the intention to protect the environment is overwhelmingly evident among the Hungarian population, but people are open to positive environmental changes in different areas and to varying degrees.Az ELTE PPK Ember-Környezet Tranzakció Intézetének vezetésével 2022 tavaszán reprezentatív felmérés készült a magyar lakosság által végzett környezetvédő cselekedetekről. A felmérés feltárta a hétköznapi életben megvalósítható környezetvédő cselekedetek gyakoriságát, vizsgálta, hogy az emberek mely területeken tervezik környezetvédőbbé tenni életvitelüket a közeljövőben, valamint mely területen tartják könnyűnek, illetve nehéznek életvitelük környezetvédőbbé tételét. Mindemellett a vizsgálat célját képezte annak meghatározása is, hogy milyen gátló tényezőket érzékelnek a magyar felnőttek életvitelük környezetvédőbbé tételével kapcsolatban. Az eredmények legfontosabb üzenete, hogy a környezetvédelem szándéka a magyar lakosság elsöprő többségének a gondolkodásban jelen van, de az emberek különböző területeken különböző mértékben nyitottak a környezeti szempontokból kedvező változásokra

What kind of impacts are there in EU countries that a significant part of EU-Chine trade has been moving from vessels to freight trains or to combined, overland maritime transportation. It has partly taken out the former China – Germany/Hamburg maritime way. This paper is analysing the role of Port of Piraeus in this process as the pretty new but very important port for the Chinese COSCO maritime transportation company and on other hand how does the new structure change the revenues for the members in this situationA dolgozat bemutatja a kereskedelmi utak változását az európai centrum régió és a Távol-Kelet gazdasági motorja között. A fő kérdés, hogy milyen módon lehetséges kombinálni a vasúti és tengeri árufuvarozást Európában, hogy teljesítse a két centrum terület, Kína/Shanghai és Németország viszonylatban zavartalan ellátását. A vizsgálatban kiemelt szerepet kap a görögországi Pireusz kikötője, amely a kínai nagy árufuvarozási vállalat, a COSCO érkezésével kapott kiemelt szerepet az Európai Unióban.
