The Role of Bottom-up Influence in Circular Fashion Business Models. Experiences from Participatory Research in Hungary

    No full text
One of the aims of this article is to illustrate the four types of circular visions, their interconnections and limitations, using examples. Although the visions (planned circularity, circular modernism, bottom-up sufficiency, peer to peer circularity) can be observed in other industries, they can be understood through the examples of the fashion industry in Hungary. By looking at the interconnections, it can be understood that none of these visions will be a solution, and that their interconnections should be used consciously. Further, the aim is to present circular solutions for the fashion industry. This is significant partly because, in addition to its direct environmental impact, the fashion industry has a very important awareness-raising effect, bringing circular solutions to several consumer groups that are not interested in environmentally conscious solutions

Analysis of recyclability of steelmaking secondary metallurgical slag in the electric arc furnace

In the steel-making process, the use of slag-forming materials is crucial. However, these materials become wasted after completing their metallurgical task, leading to environmental burdens and costs. Our investigation focuses on the first research phase of finding ways to utilize slags from the secondary treatment of steel production. Our findings reveal that this method could significantly reduce the amount of burnt lime used, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions both in the steel plant and the supplier’s end. This result contributes to the green steel production technology development implemented so far at the Max Aicher group of companies, including Ózdi Acélművek Kft.In the steel-making process, the use of slag-forming materials is crucial. PCBA to PCBA, a depopulation comparison

In order to increase metal recovery from discarded printed circuit board assemblies, an additional preprocessing step where its electronic components are presorted before comminution and metallurgy is suggested. The first step in this process is depopulation where the electronic components are removed from the board. However, currently no practical apples to apples comparison has been performed. Therefore, six depopulation methods (both mechanical and thermal) were directly compared on both qualitative and quantitative indicators and evaluated using a multi-criteria analysis. The mechanical methods were faster less energy intensive than the thermal methods but produced lower quality products and had issues with scaling. Overall the best found method was using a pneumatic hammer due to its simplicity and effectiveness. In order to increase metal recovery from discarded printed circuit board assemblies, an additional preprocessing step where its electronic components are presorted before comminution and metallurgy is suggested. Despite ongoing efforts toward gender equality, women still face significant disadvantages in the labour market, including lower wages, higher inactivity rates, limited access to leadership roles, and persistent occupational segregation. These inequalities are often reinforced by ineffective policies, traditional gender norms, and a lack of political will. While reproductive roles – especially child-rearing – are commonly cited, emerging challenges like menstrual poverty reveal deeper structural issues in need of attention. This paper argues for the inclusion of menstrual health in labour law, based on the right to health, noting that menstrual pain contributes to absenteeism and reduced productivity. Current gender-neutral laws fail to address these realities, however it could be derived from basic human rights as right to health. Introducing measures like menstrual leave and flexible work can promote not just the gender equality, but would support the reproductive health of women.

I will try to show in this paper how time could both establish and abolish rights in Roman Law. I bring to cases, the first from private law, the second from public law. The right to fish in the public rivers was opened to everybody by the ius gentium. But, if somebody has fished in a certain section of a river for years, he can have a fishing-right here and could exclude any others, and he was entitled for defense by an interdict. The other case is from public law: a high priest of Jupiter (flamen Dialis) wanted to enter to the section of the Senat of Rome in 209 B.C., based on an old written law which permitted this right him. But the head of the jurisdiction (praetor) denied it, stated this right was abolished by the non-practicing over many decades. After a long debate the priest could enter to the section, but not by his argument, but probably by an hidden political compromise, which is not reported by the historian.Jelen munkámban az idő jog keletkeztető és jogvesztő hatását kívánom bemutatni a római jogban. Két esetet vizsgálok, az elsőt a magánjogból, a másodikat a közjogból. A közfolyókban bárki halászhatott a ius gentium alapján.

In my study I examine the presentation of telecommunication devices, so in addition to the remote hearing of the court stage and I also examine the Hungarian and international aspects of electronic remote hearing in criminal enforcement law. Considering the essence of the institutional system, the goal is that the technical device can be used at any stage of the procedure, thus in relation to any person participating in the criminal proceeding and for the entire duration of any procedural act, as well as in the criminal enforcement law. At the end of the study I discuss the electronic monitoring introduced in 2017  as an  electronic devices also, both  in Hungarian and internationally aspects.A tanulmányban a telekommunikációs eszközök bemutatását veszem górcső alá, így a bírósági szakasz távmeghallgatásán túl, bemutatom az elektronikus távmeghallgatás hazai és nemzetközi aspektusait a büntetés-végrehajtásban. Az intézményrendszer lényegét tekintve a cél, hogy a technikai eszköz az eljárás bármely szakaszában, így  a büntetőeljárásban részt vevő bármely személy vonatkozásában és bármely eljárási cselekmény egész tartamára nézve illetve a büntetés-végrehajtásban is alkalmazható legyen. A tanulmány végén kitérek még a 2017-től bevezetett reintegrációs őrizetre, mint elektronikus eszközt alkalmazó intézményre, mind hazai, mind nemzetközi területen

Keresőalgoritmus a megvilágítás frekvenciájának meghatározására egy line scan kamera-alapú mérőrendszerben

    No full text
At the University of Miskolc, a machine vision-based measurement system was developed utilizing a line scan camera to capture images line by line as the object moves. A critical challenge in such systems is synchronizing the camera's exposure frequency with the lighting control pulse train. Discrepancies between these two frequencies could lead to periodic intensity variations in the image. To address this issue, a frequency search algorithm was developed. This algorithm compensates for differences between the camera's exposure signal and the lighting control signal, preventing resonance and intensity fluctuations. The paper details the algorithm's operation and related preliminary investigations.A Miskolci Egyetemen kifejlesztettek egy gépi látás alapú mérőrendszert, amely line scan kamerát alkalmaz az objektumok mozgása közben történő soronkénti képalkotásra. Az ilyen rendszerekben nagy kihívást jelent a kamera expozíciós frekvenciájának és a világítás vezérlőjelének szinkronizálása. A két frekvencia eltérése periodikus intenzitásváltozásokat eredményezhet a képeken.

Exploring Efficient News Aggregation Development for the Hungarian Language

    No full text
In recent years, the rise of digital media has fundamentally transformed information consumption habits. The mass of content generated by social platforms and online news portals makes it increasingly difficult to obtain information from reliable, objective sources. The spread of fake news, the dominance of radical views and click-oriented media phenomena distort public discourse, making critical thinking difficult. The article presents the development of a Hungarian-language news aggregation system that not only collects news from different sources, but also helps their interpretation and transparency with its analytical functions. The goal is to create a technological solution that supports users in the conscious and critical processing of information, contributing to balanced information in the Hungarian-language media space
