    Sentiment Analysis of Twitter Data of Hepsiburada E-commerce Site Customers with Natural Language Processing

    Social media usage has significantly increased, allowing people to freely express their wishes and complaints through these platforms. Consequently, this has caused a significant increase in data, providing information about users, companies, services, and products. However, making sense of this data with human effort is impossible, necessitating various methods. Sentiment analysis is one such method that helps us understand customers’ thoughts on products and companies. In this study, the emotions of e-commerce site users were analyzed using Turkish Twitter data. Text mining techniques were applied to Twitter data, which were analyzed and classified as positive and negative. It was found that 66.9% of the tweets were negative, and 33.1% were positive. The classification results were evaluated using precision, Recall, and F1 criteria. As a result of the evaluation, the sensitivity criterion for negative comments was 94%, and the precision criterion for positive comments showed the highest value with 86%. When looking at the F1 score, 85% for negative comments and 69% for positive comments were calculated.     Comparison of Wear Behavior of Basic Oxygen Furnace Slag and WC-CoCr Coating

    Metallurgical slags can be re-evaluated depending on their structural properties for reuse in many industrial applications. This study investigated the possibility of reusing these slags as a commercial value.The results of benchmark research comparing the friction and wear behavior of basic oxygen furnace slag (BOFS) and commercial wear-resistant coating against an Al2O3 counter body under dry conditions are presented in this work. Reciprocating wear tests were carried out on WC-CoCr, and slag coatings were deposited on 316L stainless steel substrates under different loads and sliding speeds. The wear track surfaces were compared using a scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and a 3D optical profilometer for wear-depth and wear-loss measurements. As a result of the experimental studies carried out, it was observed that BOFS coatings exhibited an appealingly superior wear performance. The study results showed that coatings with BOFS content could be used as an alternative candidate coating material equivalent to the wear-resistant coatings used in commercial and industrial areas in terms of performance

    High performance web platform for internship applications in vocational education

    Mesleki eğitim, bireylere iş hayatınlarında bir meslek ile ilgili gerekli bilgi, beceri ve çalışma alışkanlıkları kazandırma ve bireyin yeteneklerini, işi bir araç olarak kullanarak çeşitli yönleri ile geliştirme sürecidir. İş piyasasının en önemli sorunlarından biri olan ara eleman açığını gidermek için en büyük pay mesleki eğitim kurumlarına aittir. Çırak, kalfa ve ustaların eğitimi ile okullarda, yükseköğretim kurumlarında ve işletmelerde yapılacak mesleki eğitime ilişkin esasları düzenleyen kanun 3308 sayılı Mesleki Eğitim Kanunudur. Koordinatör olarak görevlendirilen öğretmen haftalık ve aylık düzenlenen çizelgeler ile yapmış oldukları rehberlik ve takip işlemlerini resmi olarak kayıt altına alırlar. Bu formlar her bir hafta için düzenlenen günlük rehberlik görev formu, aylık rehberlik görev formu, aylık devamsızlık bildirim çizelgesi ve görevli koordinatör öğretmenin aylık görev formudur. Koordinatör öğretmenler ise iş yerlerine ve öğrenciye rehberlik ederek bu formları doldurur ve okul idaresine teslim eder. Okul idaresi bu formların düzenlenmesi, tasnifi, notlandırılması, vb. gibi işlemleri yapması gerekmektedir. Bu işlemleri yaparken bazı okullar manuel bazıları ise masaüstü uygulama olarak tasarlanmış ve özellikleri oldukça düşük olan bir uygulama kullanmaktadırlar. Ancak kullanım kolaylığı, her yerden erişim sıkıntısı, hantallığı gibi yönünlerden alternatif bir uygulama geliştirme ihtiyacı doğmuştur. Masaüstü uygulamanın bir diğer sıkıntısı ise maliyetinin yüksek ve güncelleme işlemlerinin zor olmasıdır. Geliştirilen yazılımın kullanımının kolay olması ve kod yapısı bozulmadan farklı platformların (mobil ya da tablet gibi) oluşturulması, yazılım güncellemelerinin hızlı olması, tüm öğretmenlerin öğrencilerinin listesine ve formlarına mekan ve zaman kısıtı olmaksızın ulaşması, idarenin öğretmenler tarafından doldurulan formlara hızlı bir şekilde ulaşması, sistem içerisindeki verilerin güvenli bir şekilde tutulması gibi pek çok avantajlara sahiptir. Yazılım, katmanlı mimari yapısı ile SOLID prensiplerine uygun olarak geliştirilmiştir. Paydaşlardan alınan geri dönütlere ve ilgili kanun ve yönetmelik değişikliklerine göre sistem sürekli geliştirilebilir durumdadır. Birim testleri her güncelleme sonrası tekrar yapılmakta ve duruma göre reaksiyon alınmaktadır. Aynı zamanda proje, gelişen teknolojiye göre de güncelleme almaktadır. Daha hızlı ve kolay kullanım için günümüz teknolojilerde dikkate alınarak son kullanıcıya hitap etmeyi hedeflemekteyiz.     The Role of Utilizing Load in Different Cases While Numerical Modeling of Multi-story Buildings on Alluvial Stratum: A Comparison Study

    Industrialization and population growth have made surface areas more valuable, thereby the multi-story buildings have become an absolute necessity. At this point, numeric models became the fastest and simplest way to evaluate the response of soils and structures. The issued factor in the current paper is related to the way of transferring thes multi-story building loads to an alluvial stratum and evaluate the accuracy of different cases, in order to save time and economy. For load transfer, the first case (case i) includes uniform distributed load, the second case (case ii) includes the transfer from the basement columns and walls, and the third case (case iii) includes modeling the real state of the building. Mainly, all three cases gave close results in terms of settlement magnitudes of 2.21, 1.96, and 1.81 cm, respectively. It was inspected that case (i) showed 12.8% more deformation than case (ii) and 22.1% more deformation than case (iii). However, the situation is not the same for the settlement pattern, and the under-column and corner effects are neglected in uniform load. Additionally, the bending moments, which is a critical parameter for the design of a reinforced concrete foundation, have developed different results. In case (ii) and (iii) a bending moment of 500 kNm/m is observed in the center column, while in case (i) the moments converge to 0. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of outstanding decision making when assessing the load-transferring mechanism in modeling with numerical methods. The necessity of the determination of the convenient load transfer way depending on the parameter that is crucial in the evaluation of the soil–structure interaction comes to the fore with current paper. © The Author(s) 2024

    Analysis of digital media promotion content in high-level restaurants offering local products from the perspective of business and consumer

    Bu araştırmanın amacı, yöresel yemek motivasyonunu ortaya çıkaracak dijital medya tanıtım içeriğinin oluşturulmasıdır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda "yöresel yemek motivasyonunu ortaya çıkaracak dijital medya tanıtım içeriği nasıl oluşturulur?" sorusu araştırmanın temel problemi olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu nedenle restoranların, dijital medya tanıtım içeriklerinde kullandıkları çekicilik unsurları ile tanıtım taktiklerinin belirlendiği ve tüketici algısının ölçüldüğü bir nitel araştırma süreci tasarlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim yaklaşımı temelinde kurgulanan bu çalışmanın verilerinin toplanması kısmında geçerlilik ve güvenilirliği desteklemek amacıyla mihenk taşı (üçgenleme) stratejisi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Dünyanın En İyi 50 Restoranı 2022 listesi, Sakarya ilinde yaşayan tüketiciler ve faaliyet gösteren restoranlar oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında Dünyanın En İyi 50 Restoranı, 2022 listesinde yer alan ve yöresel ürün sunan restoranların bir yıllık süreçte Instagram tanıtım içerikleri ve internet siteleri üzerinden sundukları içerikler incelenmiştir. İçerik analizinde ortaya çıkan kod ve temalara ilişkin tüketicilerle ve restoran yetkilileriyle görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda restoran tanıtım içeriklerinde tercih edilen çekicilik unsurlarının ve tanıtım taktiklerinin tüketiciler tarafında karşılık bulduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tüketiciler, dijital medya üzerinden bilgilendirici içerikleri anlamlı bulurken aynı zamanda renk ve ışıklandırma gibi fiziksel özelliklerin psikolojik olarak kendilerini rahatlattığını ve restoran tercihlerini şekillendirdiklerini belirtmektedirler. Restoranların kültürel miras kapsamında yerel ürünleri ön plana çıkarmaları veya sürdürülebilirlik kapsamında bahçeden ürünleri mutfaklarında kullanmalarının, tüketiciler için etkili ancak ikinci planda yer alan bir unsur olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Tüketiciler, restoranın kapısından girdiklerinden itibaren karşılaşacakları tüm içeriğin Instagram ve internet sitesinde bir bütün olarak sunulması gerektiğini ifade etmektedirler. Restoran yetkililerinin ise belirlenen çekicilik unsurlarının ve taktiklerinin kendi işletmelerinin dijital hesaplarında uygulanması hususunda sosyokültürel yapı, personel yetersizliği ve talep dengesinin korunamaması gibi engellerle karşılaştıkları tespit edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda restoranlara, gerçekçi karelerin görsel iletişim kapsamında tüketiciye sunulması, bilimsel araştırmacılara ise bu çalışmada elde edilen bulguları, örnekleme uygun bir restoran seçerek uygulamaları önerilmektedir

    Study on morphology, wear and corrosion resistance of ultrasonic-assisted pulse co-electrodeposited B4C reinforced Ni-P composite coating

    The B4C-reinforced Ni-P composite coatings were synthesized on low-carbon steel via ultrasonic-assisted electrodeposition. The optimal condition for producing co-electrodeposited Ni-P coating is to investigate the effects of concentrations of B4C on the morphology, microstructure, surface roughness, hardness, elastic modulus, friction, wear, and electrochemical properties of the composite coating. Field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) were used to analyze the surface microstructure, crystallite size, morphology and composition of coating and content and distribution of the particles. The nanohardness and reduced elastic modulus of B4C-reinforced Ni-P depositions was characterized by the nanoindentation technique. The friction and wear mechanism of the composite coatings was discussed in detail. The electrochemical properties of samples were studied via open circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic test and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in the 3.5% NaCl media. The experimental results indicated the highest elastic modulus and nano hardness (147 GPa and 6,92 GPa and the lowest wear rate (3.18 X 10-8 mm3 /Nm) and average coefficient of friction (0,35) for coatings deposited at 20 gL-1. Moreover, the corrosion resistance is significantly improved; this is shown via the low corrosion current density (Icorr value of 1.48 x 10-3 A/cm2), the high corrosion potential (Ecorr value of - 0.56 V), best corrosion rate (1.36 X10-5 mpy) and maximum Rct of 181.8 k Omega cm2. These results are attributed to the uniform distribution of the B4C into nickel coating and the grain refinement effect of electrodeposited Ni-P coating. The formation of the B4C core-shell structure on the coating surface improved the interfacial bond between the matrix and the ceramic particle, improving wear resistance and anti-corrosion performance

    Blockchain-based IoT security solutions for IDS research centers

    The rapid evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT) has connected real-world objects to the Internet, enhancing digital interaction and introducing critical security vulnerabilities. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are essential in identifying threats and protecting Internet of Things devices from cyberattacks. A secure, decentralized platform enabled by blockchain technology offers the optimal solution for researchers worldwide to collaboratively address the challenges of IoT security effectively. This study introduces a blockchain-based IDS research center to strengthen IoT network security via global collaboration. It demonstrates the benefits of combining IDS with blockchain to improve cybersecurity in research centers, facilitating the efficient sharing of security solutions. By defining various node types on the blockchain, the platform ensures controlled access to services and streamlined network management through specific authorizations. Research centers can contribute to the blockchain with their findings, whereas others utilize the platform to access IDS services. Our work uses machine learning algorithms to achieve promising performance in detecting DDoS attacks, with the XGBoost algorithm demonstrating good results compared to the literature. The findings illustrate how effectively the presented approach works with blockchain technology and the CiCIoT2023 dataset to provide safe and decentralized information sharing

    This study examines the impact of Instagram's e-servicescape on the behavior of young people using a model based on social cognitive learning theory. 408 young tourists participated in the quantitative research. The research model and hypotheses were examined using exploratory factor, correlation, and regression analyses. The results showed that layout & functionality had no impact, while tourists' positive emotions and online flow experiences were influenced by financial security and esthetic appeal. It was also noted that the components of Instagram's eservice experience play a crucial role in understanding the travel behavior of young people. Therefore, it is important for tourism businesses to continually improve content of their account, especially in terms of financial security and aesthetic appeal, as the experiences of young travelers on Instagram impact their purchase intentions. Incorporating online flow experience and positive affect into the social cognitive learning model helps better explain tourists' behavior on social media. The study offers a perspective to tourism researchers and professionals by providing information about the meaning of young tourists' social media use for the tourism industry

    Effect of lower extremity joint distraction exercises during warm-up on range of motion, flexibility, and jump performance in femalvolleyball players

    Background and Study Aim Effective warm-up routines are critical for enhancing athletic performance and reducing injury risk. Joint distraction exercises are hypothesized to improve range of motion (ROM), flexibility, and jump performance, yet their effects are not well-documented in volleyball. This study aims to investigate the impact of joint distraction exercises applied to the lower extremities during warm-ups on ROM, flexibility, and jump performance in female volleyball players. Material and Methods Twenty-four female volleyball players voluntarily participated in this study. The standard protocol included routine warm-ups followed by pre-tests measuring flexibility, range of motion (ROM), vertical jump (VJ), and horizontal jump (HJ). After a 48-hour rest period to minimize fatigue effects, the athletes underwent joint distraction exercises using elastic bands targeted at the lower extremities. Post-tests were conducted after these specific warm-up exercises to assess any changes. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software. Results The study found no significant difference in hip flexion range of motion (ROM) scores following joint distraction exercises (p > 0.05). However, statistically significant improvements were observed in overall flexibility, ankle dorsiflexion ROM, and both vertical and horizontal jump performances (p < 0.05). Conclusions The study demonstrates that joint distraction exercises during warm-ups significantly enhance flexibility, range of motion (ROM), and jump performance in female volleyball players.     A Study of Nanostructured FeO Thin Film-Based Allure Red and Direct Blue 15 Azo Dyes Sensing Scheme

    This study reports on the amperometric sensing properties of FeO/Fe2O3 thin films for the detection of Allura Red (AR) and Direct Blue 15 (DB15) Azo dyes. The FeO/Fe2O3 thin films were produced using the Sequential Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction (SILAR) method and Na+-doping. The morphological and structural properties of the nanocomposites produced at pH of 10.5 showed good properties for the detection of azo dyes. The linear curve fit equations for AR and DB15 droplet applications onto Na+-doped FeO nanocomposite thin film samples were found to be y =-0.0002x + 0.0043 (R² = 0.9143) and y =-7E-05x + 0.0005 (R² = 0.9809), respectively. The findings reveal that adding Na+ doping to FeO/Fe2O3 thin films can effectively increase the detection response for the target azo dyes and enhance the sensitivity of the sensing system. The results suggest that the SILAR method can be used to produce low-cost and reusable FeO/Fe2O3 thin film devices, which can be promising candidates for the detection of toxic azo dyes in liquid samples. © 2024 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland
