Maximizing the number of satisfied charging demands of electric vehicles on identical chargers
No full textInternational audienceThis paper addresses the electric vehicle charging scheduling problem in a charging station with a limited overall power capacity and a limited number of chargers. Electric vehicle drivers submit their charging demands. Given the limited resources, these charging demands are either accepted or rejected and accepted demands must be satisfied. The objective of the scheduler is to maximize the number of satisfied demands. The paper provides theoretical results on the scheduling problem and proposes different linear programming models and heuristic methods to provide good-quality solutions in a shorter computational time
Surface post-modifications of 3D-printed micro/nano-materials

The interface properties are themselves highly dependent on the nature of the surface chemical functions and their spatial arrangement. In this respect, developing a surface modification chemistry of micro/nano-materials will open up new possibilities for designing architectures able to interact at the interface. This review presents pioneering approaches in this research field

These represent, along with the various “vestiges” that characterize the story of Paul et Virginie (shadows, echoes, inscriptions, traces. . . ), the border between two worlds, and temporal and spatial gaps linking past and future and allowing us to intuitively picture “the shoreless ocean of futurity”.L’article envisage la fonction symbolique des « cabanes en ruines », ruines végétales, dématérialisées et démonumentalisées, disséminées dans l’œuvre de Bernardin de Saint-Pierre. Celles-ci figurent, ainsi que les « vestiges » divers qui polarisent le récit de Paul et Virginie (ombres, échos, inscriptions, traces…), la frontière entre deux mondes, et des trouées temporelles et spatiales reliant passé et futur et permettant d’envisager intuitivement « l’océan de l’avenir qui n’a plus de rivages »

Localization of Na + cations within nanozeolite ECR-1 using a 3D ED method
No full textInternational audienceUntil now, the comprehensive structural analysis of single crystals of zeolite ECR-1, an aluminosilicate with the EON topology, has been hindered owing to the submicron dimensions of the obtained crystals. Additionally, this zeolite, which is characterized by a topology comprising alternating periodic building units of two other zeolites ( MAZ and MOR layers), exhibits stacking faults that impede accurate refinement through the Rietveld method.In this report, we present, for the first time, the structure of ECR-1 elucidated by studying a nanocrystal with a significantly reduced number of stacking faults [1]. The sample used was synthesized hydrothermally using trioxane as the organic structure-directing agent. The structure determination was conducted at 103 K by a 3 dimensional electron diffraction (3D ED) technique, namely precession electron diffraction (PED).Results show that partial dehydration occurred in the structure owing to the high vacuum conditions in the TEM sample chamber. From the dynamical refinement (Robs = 0.097), 8.16 Na+ charge compensating cations were localized on six distinct crystallographic sites, along with approximately four water molecules per unit cell (Fig. 1). Furthermore, a canonical Monte Carlo computational study was conducted to compare the experimental cationic distribution and location of water molecules with the simulation

Dispositifs pour le piégeage passif des particules fines en environnement extérieur
No full textNational audienceLa réduction de la concentration des aérosols (fines et ultrafines) en suspension est indispensable afin d’améliorer la qualité de l’air extérieur dans les milieux urbains. Notre projet vise à capturer des particules fines dans l’air avec une solution simple, mais efficace et éco-responsable. Deux prototypes ont été installés à proximité des deux axes routiers bien fréquentés de l’agglomération de Strasbourg (France), pour l’étude du captage des particules fines et ultrafines avec des pièges passifs, lavables, régénérables, avec une faible consommation d’énergie, tout en respectant la nature et le bien-être de la communauté environnante. Les pièges ont permis de capturer jusqu’à 90 g PMtotal/m² sur une période d’exposition de 14 semaines. Les modèles empiriques ainsi que des simulations théoriques sont en cours de développement, et basées sur différentes données collectées in situ, en temps réel tout au long de l’expérience. La solution proposée pourrait être un moyen efficace dans la réduction des fortes pollutions par des particules d’une agglomération urbaine
Sobres perspectives - La sobriété à l’assaut du droit
No full textInternational audienceTo ensure that the ecological transition becomes a reality and does not remain at the stage of incantatory discourse, a framework for action must be devised for an effective transformation of society. Sobriety, or sufficiency in English, are some of the conceptual tools that can contribute to this. Defined as an expression of temperance, in opposition to intemperance, or of measure against excess, sufficiency is a virtue of limitation which refers to the foundations of law understood as the set of rules for regulating the behaviors in society. Today, the lexical field of sufficiency is growing in French law and it is important to pay attention to the rise of legislative provisions to curb the immoderation and excesses that are at the root of the ecological crisis. By gathering various texts relating to the objective of prudent and rational use of natural resources and by relying on the injunction for the legislator to change the current trajectory, it would be possible to identify an objective of sufficiency. That is to say, the use of natural resources through the action of parsimonious, temporal and spatial moderation while respecting the principle of ecological solidarity.Pour que la transition écologique devienne une réalité et ne demeure pas de l’ordre du discours incantatoire, une nouvelle trajectoire juridique doit être tracée pour une transformation effective de la société. La sobriété est au nombre des outils conceptuels qui peuvent y contribuer. Expression antique d’une tempérance face à l’intempérance ou de mesure contre la démesure et l’excès, la sobriété est une vertu de la limitation qui renvoie aux fondements du droit, entendu comme l’ensemble des règles de régulation des comportements en société. Aujourd’hui, le champ lexical de la sobriété se développe en droit français et il importe de prêter attention à l’essor des dispositions législatives destinées à lutter contre l’immodération et les excès à l’origine de la crise écologique. En regroupant différents textes ayant trait à l’objectif d’utilisation prudente et rationnelle des ressources naturelles et en s’appuyant sur l’injonction faite au législateur d’un changement de trajectoire, il serait possible de dégager un objectif de sobriété. C’est-à-dire l’action de modération parcimonieuse, temporelle et spatiale de l’utilisation des ressources naturelles dans le respect du principe de solidarité écologique
