Twist-induced effects on Weyl pairs in magnetized graphene nanoribbons
No full textThis paper presents an analytical investigation into thedynamics of Weyl pairs within magnetized helicoidalgraphene nanoribbons (GNRs). By embedding acurved surface into flat Minkowski space–time, wederive a fully covariant two-body Dirac equationspecific to this system. We begin by formulating a nonperturbative wave equation that governs the relativemotion of the Weyl pairs and obtains exact solutions.Our results demonstrate the influence of the uniformmagnetic field and the number of twists on thedynamics of Weyl pairs in GNRs, providing preciseenergy values that lay a robust foundation for futureresearch. Furthermore, we examine the material’sresponse to perturbation fields by calculating thepolarization function and investigating how twistingand magnetic fields affect this response. Our findingsindicate that, in principle, the material’s properties,which are crucial for practical applications, can beeffectively controlled by precisely tuning the magneticfield and the number of twists in GNRs.</p
The effect of emotional eating in adolescents on obesity: A systematic review and meta-analysis study
No full textBackground: Emotional eating behavior may cause adolescents to become overweight and obese. There is limited evidence that emotional eating has an impact on obesity. This study aims to synthesize and analyze the effect of emotional eating in adolescents on obesity. Methods: In this systematic review and meta-analysis study, six electronic databases, namely EBSCO, Web of Science, Pubmed, MEDLINE, ScienceDirect, and Scopus, were examined. The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed using the critical appraisal checklists developed by the JBI. The systematic review and meta-analysis used in this study were planned and conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines. Heterogeneity was determined using Cochran Q and I2 tests. Publication bias was evaluated using a funnel plot, Rosenthal fail-safe number, the Egger regression test, and the Begg and Mazumdar rank correlation analyses. The effect size was estimated at a confidence interval of 95 %. Results: Sixteen studies were included in this systematic review, and they were all subjected to a meta-analysis. According to the results of the meta-analysis, emotional eating in adolescents had a positive and medium effect size and a significant effect on obesity (Hedge's g = 0.473, Q = 280.943, I2 = 94.661 %, p 0.05). Conclusion: The findings from this study indicated that emotional eating affected obesity in adolescents. Implications for practice: The meta-analysis revealed that emotional eating seen in adolescents affected obesity. A comprehensive understanding of the effect of emotional eating on obesity is fundamental to improve nursing practices. Reducing eating behavior during emotional states, such as stress, anger, and tension, may prevent the development of obesity or contribute to weight loss by keeping emotions under control during the treatment phase of obesity
TOPLUMSAL GÜVEN İNŞASINDA AŞİRETLERİN ROLÜ ÜZERİNENİTEL BİR ARAŞTIRMA: HAKKARİ ÖRNEĞİ
No full textAşiretler, ortak bir soydan gelen bireylerin kan bağıtemelinde oluşturduğu toplumsal yapılardır. Aşiret yapılarının varlık gösterdiği toplumlarda aşiretler, bireylerve gruplar arasındaki ilişkilerin şekillenmesinde önemlibir rol oynamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışma, Hakkaribölgesinde aşiretlerin toplumsal güven inşa süreçlerineetkilerini anlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma, toplumsal güvenin, bireyler ve gruplar arasındaki ilişkilerinsürdürülebilirliğini sağlamadaki rolünü ve aşiret yapılarının bu süreçteki işlevlerini değerlendirmektedir. Araştırmanın temel problemi, aşiret üyeleri arasındaki yüksekgüven seviyelerinin dış gruplarla olan güven ilişkilerininasıl şekillendirdiğini anlamaktır. Hakkari’deki dört aşiretten (Pinyanişi, Ertuşi, Giravi ve Gewda) toplam 21katılımcıyla yürütülen yarı yapılandırılmış mülakatlaradayanan bu araştırma özel güven, araçsal güven ve genelleştirilmiş güven gibi farklı güven kategorileri üzerinden analizler sunmaktadır. Araştırmanın bulguları, aşiretyapılarının bireylere güvenlik, dayanışma ve sosyal kimlik sağlama gibi işlevlerle toplumsal güveni pekiştirdiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bununla birlikte, aşiretler arasıhusumetlerin ve baskıcı uygulamaların bu güveni zedeleyebileceği de vurgulanmaktadır. Araştırmanın sınırlılığı, yalnızca Hakkari bölgesi ve belirli aşiretlerle sınırlıbir örnekleme dayanmasıdır. Yine de çalışma, aşiretlerinsosyal sermaye ve toplumsal güven üzerindeki etkilerinedair özgün bir çerçeve sunarak literatüre değerli bir katkısağlamaktadır</p

No full textWe examine ray trajectories and wave dynamics in an optical wormhole with constant negative Gaussian curvature, analogous to a monolayer graphene sheet or graphene wormholes. Focusing on the elliptic wormhole (EWH), we derive exact solutions for ray trajectories and show that the effective potential is impenetrable at the optical origin =0=0, but rapidly vanishes at large distances, allowing trajectories to remain unaffected. By solving the Helmholtz equation on the EWH surface, we find that S-waves (=0=0) are indefinitely trapped at the origin by an infinitely attractive effective potential, whereas modes with ≠0 encounter an infinitely repulsive barrier. Additionally, we determine the spatially and frequency-dependent refractive index characterizing the EWH and discuss the corresponding optical response of the background</p
