Ray and wave optics in Bonnor-Melvin domain walls: Photon rings
In this study, we examine the propagation of light rays and wave dynamics within the (2 + 1)-dimensional analogue of the Bonnor-Melvin magnetic (BMM) spacetime, which incorporates anonzero cosmological constant. The BMM spacetime, characterized by cylindrical symmetry,maintains Lorentz invariance along the axial direction, facilitating a systematic investigation ofray trajectories and wave behavior in the corresponding (2+1)-dimensional magnetic background.This three-dimensional spacetime can be derived as a (2 + 1 + 0)-brane solution within the contextof gravity coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics. Initially, we analyze general ray trajectoriesand derive exact solutions for the angular motion of light rays. Our findings reveal that light isconfined to circular paths within a specific radial region, indicating the formation of light ringsgoverned by the magnetic background. Extending this analysis to wave dynamics, we solve theHelmholtz equation analytically, identifying discrete wave modes with quantized frequencies.The background gravitational field induces oscillatory wave behavior, resulting in well-definedphotonic states. These states are notably ring-shaped and rotate, resembling magnetic vortices.</p
Matematik Öğretmenlerinin Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli Matematik Öğretim Programı Hakkındaki Görüşleri
Araştırmanın amacı, 2024-2025 güz yarıyılında kademeli olarak uygulamaya konulan Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli Matematik Öğretim Programı hakkında matematik öğretmenlerinin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemi amaçlı örneklem ile seçilen 12 lise, 15 ortaokul öğretmeni olmak üzere 27 matematik öğretmeninden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel yöntem durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere içerik ve betimsel analiz uygulanmıştır. Nitel analizler neticesinde değişimin gerekliliği, program hakkında görüşler, eklenen ve çıkarılan konular, yaşanan zorluklar ve hizmet içi eğitim talepleri temaları oluşturulmuştur. Öğretmenler, değişen dünya koşulları ve 21. yüzyıl yaşam becerilerine uyum açısından değişimin yerinde olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Programın olumlu yönleri arasında öğrenci merkezli olması, problem çözme becerilerini geliştirmesi, teknoloji destekli olması, sadeleşmesi, aktif katılımı sağlamasını göstermişlerdir. Konu sıralamasını, bazı öğrenci ve okul türlerini göz ardı etmesini, pilot çalışma yapılmadan uygulamaya konmasını da olumsuz yönler arasında belirtmişlerdir. Öğretmenlerin uygulamada karşılaştıkları zorlukların etkinlik süreleri, öğrenci hazır bulunuşluğu, sistemsel alt yapı sorunları ve sınıf mevcudu olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin hizmet içi eğitim talepleri ise teknoloji kullanımına, değerlendirmeye ve etkinliklerin nasıl uygulanması gerektiğine dair olmuştur. Öğretmenlerin bu talepleri karşılanarak programın hedeflerine ulaşması sağlanabilir.</p
Negative capacitance and negative dielectric behavior of MIS device with Rhenium-Type Schottky contacts
This study offers a thorough examination of the negative capacitance/dielectric behavior of an MIS device with rhenium (Re) type Schottky contact and native oxide interlayer. The pulsed laser deposition method was used to deposit Re as the Schottky contact on the n-type GaAs substrates. Thus, the electrical and dielectric properties were evaluated by I-V, C-V, and G/ω-V tests at a high frequency (1 MHz). Experimental results demonstrated that capacitance characteristics showed a marked increase from the inversion region to depletion, with a localized peak observed at 0.26 V. Exceeding 4.16 V, the capacitance values turn negative, signifying a shift to inductive behavior, as shown by a rapid increase in conductance values under the same conditions. In addition, the dynamic resistance profile indicates that the series resistance (Rs) reaches its peak at near-zero bias and stabilizes under significant forward bias, approaching the device's intrinsic series resistance. Analysis of the C–G/ω–V data also showed two distinct peaks in the corrected conductance (Gc/ω) at –0.55 V and + 0.1 V, due to the response of interface states (Nss) located at distinct energy levels inside the GaAs bandgap. The transition from capacitive to inductive behavior was recorded with high enough forward bias, at which point the dielectric constant (ε′) turns negative, showing the effects of polarization reversal and reactive energy storage. Additionally, the complex impedance analysis revealed distorted semicircular arcs and loop formations, indicative of interfacial inhomogeneities and multiple charge transport channels. As a result, these findings demonstrate that integrating Re into the MIS structure significantly improves the device's electrical stability and functional response under varying bias conditions, demonstrating its potential in advanced high-frequency and low-power electronic applications

Psychometric evaluation of the Turkish version of the nurses' perception of the gap between knowledge and practice scale
Background: Progress in the nursing profession and clinical decision-making are largely sustained by the coherence between theory and practice. The quality of healthcare provided by nurses and patient outcomes are adversely impacted by the gap between knowledge and practice. Measurement tools used to assess nurses' perceptions of this gap are inadequate in Türkiye. This research aimed to adapt the nurses' perception of the gap between knowledge and practice scale into Turkish and to evaluate its reliability and validity. Methods: The study, in which a methodological design was employed, was conducted with 406 nurses between March and June 2022. A descriptive information form and the nurses' perception of the gap between knowledge and practice scale (NPGKPS) were employed to gather data. The validity study included content and construct validity analyses, and the reliability study included item analysis, split-half test, and Cronbach alpha coefficients. Results: The scale had 35 items and four dimensions, which explained 54.65% of the total variance. The goodness of fit values, which were found following a confirmatory factor analysis, were estimated as follows: CMIN = 1808.984, DF = 512, CMIN/DF = 3.533, IFI = 0.89, TLI = 0.87, RFI = 0.83, CFI = 0.89, RMSEA = 0.079, and NFI = 0.86. Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the total scale was estimated as 0.95 and it was in the range of 0.84 to 0.93 for four factors. Conclusion: In conclusion, the nurses' perception of the gap between knowledge and practice scale was a reliable and valid measure which could be applied to Turkish society
