The Relationship Between Vaccine Hesitation in Pregnancy and Cyberchondria Level: A Cross-Sectional Study in Eastern Türkiye
Cultivation factors affecting durum wheat performance under speed breeding conditions
Introduction: This study examined the effects of pot size, soil type, fertilizer x dose interactions, and foliar fertilizer application on wheat growth under speed breeding conditions. Methods: The study was conducted in 2020 in a semi-controlled greenhouse at Dicle University, Diyarbakır, Türkiye, with a 22-hour photoperiod, 22/17°C day/ night temperature, 70% humidity, and 316.15 µmol/m2/s light intensity using a mix of white, red, yellow, and purple LED lamps. Sampiyon durum wheat cultivar was used as plant material. Results: The highest productivity was achieved in a deep pot (270 cm3), 100% peat soil, and 20.20.0 (%20 N + %20 K) fertilizer application. Among the foliar fertilizer applications, the best results were observed in the tillering stage and stem elongation-heading stages. Discussion: These findings highlight ways to optimize plant productivity and improve the efficiency of the speed breeding process. Because the primary goal of speed breeding is to obtain multiple generations in a short period, determining suitable conditions will contribute to the rapid development of more resilient and productive plant varieties in the future
Spiritual Care Experiences of Nurses Working in Gynecology Clinic: A Qualitative Research
Rationale: Pregnancy and childbirth are among the most important events in a woman's reproductive life. In this process with full of uncertainties, nurses who provide primary care to women play a key role. Spiritual care is an important part of holistic care and an indicator of quality of care. Aim: This research aims to thoroughly examine and describe the spiritual care experiences of nurses working in obstetrics and gynecology clinics specific to their clinics. Methods: The study was carried out based on the descriptive phenomenology type of phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group included nurses in gynecology clinics in different provinces and hospitals in Turkey. The criterion sampling method, one of the purposive sampling methods, was used, and 12 nurses comprised the sample size. A semi-structured interview form was used to collect the data. In evaluating the obtained data, thematic content analysis and MAXQDA 22 software were used. The study was written based on the COREQ checklist. Results: The data obtained from the interviews were analyzed under six themes: the concept of spiritual care, spiritual care practices, factors complicating spiritual care, factors facilitating spiritual care, emotional effects of spiritual care, and recommendations on the best way to provide spiritual care. Conclusions: It is vital to train gynecology nurses in spiritual care, reduce their workload, and develop clinical practice guidelines. Increasing the awareness of obstetric nurses about the factors affecting their spiritual care experiences while caring for individuals in clinical practices will contribute to increasing the quality of nursing care
This study aims to examine the awareness of electromagnetic pollution among social work students and its relationship with nature intelligence and other influencing factors. The study employs quantitative research methods, using descriptive and correlational survey models. Data were collected from a sample of 436 social work students from state and private universities in Turkey. The survey used in the research includes demographic information, Electromagnetic Pollution Awareness Scale, and Multiple İntelligence Survey. The findings reveal that a majority of the students demonstrate a moderate level of awareness regarding electromagnetic pollution. It was found that various sociodemographic variables have significant effects on awareness levels. Additionally, the students' knowledge level, attitudes, and experiences were also identified as influential factors affecting their awareness. Moreover, it was determined that nature intelligence has a significant relationship with electromagnetic pollution awareness and substantially enhances it. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the need to further integrate environmental topics into the curriculum to increase social work students' awareness of electromagnetic pollution. These findings indicate that social work education programs should be more effective in promoting environmental sustainability and awareness in practice
