This study investigated the utilisation of financial resources of the Education Trust Fund (ETF) on the provision of furniture in public primary schools in the South-West geo-political zone of Nigeria. Tax payers and the government had invested considerable amount of money in the nation’s public primary schools through the ETF. In spite of the huge financial resources invested on provision of furniture in the nation’s public primary schools, the present condition of furniture in most of the schools have not met the required standard. Two research questions were raised to guide the study. Ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study and data were generated from the e-library of the Education Trust Fund, now Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND). The establishment of the ETF signified government commitment to improving the poor state of furniture and other infrastructure in the public primaryschools. ETF which was the foremost intervention agency in the education sector brought innovations which had some impacts on public primary schools. It represented stable and predictable flow of fund that was complementary to traditional budgetary allocations to public primary schools. ETF which was a household name within the education sector provided quality furniture in most public primary schools across Nigeria. It was recommended that fund must be appropriated on a continuous basis to step up the required funds for provision of furniture in the nation’s public primary schools to enable students and teachers have a environmentthat is conducive for desired academic attainment

This research comparatively examined the use of temporary case notes at the Federal medicalCentre (FMC) and the Niger Delta University Teaching hospital (NDUTH) in Yenagoa, BayelsaState,Nigeria. The objective of the study was to among others, ascertain the cause(s) for creatingtemporary case notes and its purpose as well as the challenges bedevilling its use by medicalprofessionals in hospitals. The study followed a survey research design in the collection of primarydata from 185 healthcare professionals in the two medical hospitals. Moreover, frequencies, percentages and mean scores were used in the analysis of the data. The findings shows’ that therespondents asserted that mislaying and misfiling of patient’s original health records and the over-dependence on a manual system that is burdensome are often the catalyst of temporary case notesin hospitals. The findings also suggests that the purpose of deploying temporary case notes in mosthospitals is to ensure a process that facilitates patient’s access to healthcare services devoid of anyimpediments. The study however observed that respondents view the use of temporary case notesas not equivalent to the original medical record and therefore a challenge to qualitative healthcareservice delivery. The research therefore recommends that a comprehensive health recordsmanagement policy should be formulated to safeguard private medical records of patients andoutline the conditions that guide the retrieval and use of medical records by public and privateentities in the country. In addition, manual record systems should be overhauled with theintroduction of electronic health record management systems to ensure efficiency

Libraries are undergoing significant transformations to adapt to the changing needs of theircommunities. Service delivery through emerging technology is a recent trend in library andinformation science. On this note, this study is carried out to ascertain the roles of libraries increating synergy between library service delivery and technology integration in academiclibraries. Roles of libraries in service delivery were highlighted and emerging technologies thatcan be adapted in libraries were also identified. It was discovered that in developing countrieslike Nigeria, awareness about applications of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence,Virtual and Augmented Reality, Black-chain Technology, Cloud computing, IoT are notelaborating. Emerging technology and its development have given rise to the new roles oflibraries to navigate the future, such as shifting the role of libraries from controlling access toinformation facilitating discovery; redefining the roles of libraries to inclusive services thatcater to diverse user needs which include accessibility and language support; shifting the role oflibraries from collection centered to user centered design and so on. These roles have greatlyimproved the accessibility of information, enhanced user experience and facilitated the efficientmanagement of library services delivery. However, libraries also faced many challenges inimplementing these new technologies, such as cyber-security threats, changing in informationseeking behaviours, lack of technical expertise, lack of clear policies and lots more. Toovercome these challenges requires a proactive approach, such as investment in staff training, collaboration with technology partners and development of active policies to ensure the effectiveand responsible use of technologies. With these, libraries can navigate the future, stay relevantand continue to provide vital services and support to their communities

There seem to be a pressing concern regarding organisational citizenship behaviouramong educational stakeholders in Oyo State, Nigeria as observed by theresearcher. It appears that there is a noticeable decline in the organisationalcitizenship behaviour of administrative staff within private universities in Oyo State, resulting in various detrimental outcomes such as diminished organisationalsupport, decreased job satisfaction, and reduced organisational effectiveness. Poororganisational justice, poor work motivation, a heavy workload may be the reasonfor the observed phenomena among other factors. Many studies have been carriedout to identify the causes of the aforementioned problem in other states, but itseems little attention has been paid by researchers in Oyo State. Thus, to fill thisgap, this study investigated the relationship between school welfare andorganisational citizenship behaviour among administrative staff in privateuniversities in Oyo State. Total enumeration sampling technique was utilised toarrive at a sample size of 675 administrative staff. Self-developed questionnaire (ASOCBQ) for administrative staff was used to collect data, and the reliability ofthe instrument was determined using cronbach’s alpha ? = 0.995. The studyemployed various descriptive statistics, such as frequency, percentage, mean, andstandard deviation, to address the research questions. Additionally, inferentialstatistics, specifically the Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC), wasemployed to rigorously test the hypotheses. The study reveals a remarkably highlevel of organisational citizenship behaviour and school welfare measures with aweighted mean of 3.23 and 3.14 respectively. Findings from correlation analysisbetween school welfare measures and organisational citizenship behaviour indicatean exceptionally high correlation coefficient of 0.995**, suggesting a strong andconsistent linear relationship.Among recommendations, the study suggestsproviding specialised training or workshops to enhance courteous behaviour amongadministrative staff, especially considering a slightly lower level of courtesybehaviour involvement
