ASSESSING THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CLIMATE OF SCHOOL LEADERSHIP/ MANAGEMENT: STRATEGIES FOR BALANCE, COLLABORATION, AND SUSTAINABLE SUCCESS
This study examines the psychological climate of
school leadership, with a focus on privately owned schools in
Enugu, Nigeria. Privately operated schools demand school
owners maintain administrator responsibilities alongside
financial management duties along with instructional
leadership roles when they handle their obligations.
Professional duties that merge with personal responsibilities
create psychological strain as well as work-life imbalance and
burnout in school leaders. The research investigates how school
owners handle these obstacles as it examines their working
dynamics with teachers and their approach to fostering efficient
leadership and cooperative practices.
The study used a survey approach through structured
questionnaires which were distributed to owners and teachers
within chosen private schools. Mean scores and standard
deviations served as analysis methods to evaluate the results
and the research established 2.5 as the threshold for accepting
study findings. The research showed that school owners usually
find it difficult to keep school leadership activities distinct from
their commitments yet delegation stands out as their primary
method of coping. The connections between school owners and
their teachers existed on positive terms although shared
decision-making functions within these relationships needed
improvement. Results guided researchers to propose time
management education along with structured delegation
systems and better planning participation from teachers as well
as mental health support facilities and performance
measurement systems. This research proves why supportive
psychological environments matter in school leadership while
providing useful methods for maintaining long-term school
administration success
EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES FOR EMPOWERING TEACHERS IN ENTREPRENEURIAL TEACHING IN THE GEN Z AGE
The rise of innovation-driven economies has necessitated a
paradigm shift in teaching practices, particularly in preparing learners for
entrepreneurship from an early stage. This study explores how teachers
perceive entrepreneurship, the empowerment strategies they desire, and the
educational management approaches necessary to institutionalize
entrepreneurial teaching in primary and secondary schools. Using a survey
design, data were collected from teachers across five schools in Enugu State:
Enugu Preparatory College, Excellent Child New Haven, Godfrey Okoye
University Crèche, and Lily Pinnacle Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools.
The questionnaire responses were analyzed using mean and standard
deviation, with a 2.5 cut-off point. Results indicate that while teachers
generally understand the relevance of entrepreneurship to learner
development, their capacity to teach it is limited by inadequate support, lack of
continuous training, and minimal participation in decision-making.
Empowerment through mentorship, resource access, and inclusive planning
were highly desired. The study recommends that school administrators and
policymakers invest in sustainable teacher development programs, schoolbased mentorship systems, and institutional reforms that enable flexible,
project-based entrepreneurial instruction. These findings offer critical insight
into fostering an enabling environment where teachers can effectively deliver
entrepreneurship education to meet the needs of today’s learners
Impact of Receivable Management on Selected Pharmaceutical Firms in Nigeria
This study set out to empirically examine the effect of accounts receivable
management on profitability of selected pharmaceutical firms listed on
Nigerian stock exchange for the period, 2014-2018. Adopting the average
collection period as independent variable and gross operating profit as
dependent variable then controlled for liquidity, financial assets to total assets,
size and leverage. The objective of was to investigate the impact of average
collection period on profitability of selected pharmaceutical firms in Nigerian.
Analysis was done, employing fixed effect model (FEM) after diagnosing the
data. Findings from the study revealed that average collection period of selected
firms in Nigerian had negative and significant impact on profitability. The result
implies that firms can increase profitability measured by gross operating profit
by shortening collection period of accounts receivable as tightfisted trade credit
policy may lead to increase in cash flow and decrease in bad debt. Cash becomes
free for other usages, and thus brings company with higher operating
profitability
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND PROTECTIVE LAWS IN NIGERIA
Any behavior that degrades, humiliates, or diminishes the value of another person is
considered emotional, verbal, or psychological abuse. Domestic abuse can cause anxiety,
depression, emotional anguish, and disturbance in its victims. The study's objective is to
ascertain whether Nigerian protection laws against domestic abuse are being implemented.
In Nigeria, there are legal redress for domestic abuse. Newspapers, radio and television
shows, United Nations documents, documents on protective laws, interviews, library services,
and internet resources provided the study's data. The study discovered that 27,689 instances
were reported in six states—Adamawa, Lagos, Sokoto, Cross River, Ebonyi, and the Federal
Capital Territory—between 2020 and 2023. Weak enforcement and discriminatory societal
norms continue to be the key issues in 1,145 fatal GBU instances, with just 393 perpetuators
found guilty in 9,636 open cases, 3,432 new cases, 1,741 closed cases, and 1,895 follow-up
cases. There isn't much dedication to getting things done. Economic reliance frequently
keeps survivors in violent partnerships. Many victims of domestic abuse encounter obstacles
in their pursuit of justice due to stigma, religion, and culture. The researcher suggested that
we empower women economically so they can leave abusive environments and build secure
futures for themselves and their children by offering vocational training, microfinance
initiatives, and opportunities. After all, it's better to leave a violent marriage than to perish in
one. In Nigeria, the media has a significant impact on increasing public awareness of
domestic abuse. Protective legislation should be implemented by the state government, not
just domesticated
Rural Women Empowerment Initiatives and Poverty Alleviation in Enugu State, Nigeria
This study investigated rural women empowerment initiatives for poverty alleviation in Enugu
State, Nigeria. The study was guided by five (5) specific purposes, which were in line with the five
(5) research questions that guided the study. Five (5) null hypotheses were also formulated for the
study which was tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study adopted the descriptive survey
design (quantitative and qualitative). The population of the study was 609 registered members of
women cooperative societies in Enugu State, Nigeria. A sample size of 305 respondents was drawn
for the study using multistage sampling procedure. Instruments developed by the researchers titled
‘‘Rural Women Empowerment Initiative for Poverty Alleviation Questionnaire (RWIPAQ)’’ were
used for data collection in the study. The questionnaire was divided into sections A and B, where
A focused on personal data of the respondents. Section B has a total of 39 items and was divided
into five clusters – A to E in line with the research purposes and research questions. The
instruments were given to three experts for face validation. The reliability of the questionnaire
instrument was established by conducting a trail testing – administering 20 copies of the
instruments to registered members of women organization in Awka South Local Government of
Anambra State. The Mean and Standard Deviation were used to answer the research questions
while one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level
of significance. The findings of the study showed that rural women empowerment initiatives can
help in poverty alleviation in Enugu State. Specifically, findings of the study revealed that: (i) rural
women’s empowerment in agro-processing and agricultural cooperation help in poverty alleviation
in Enugu State; (ii) rural women’s empowerment in skill development and digital literacy is very
low in Enugu State; and (ii) several factors, including poor financial status of women, lack of
political will by the government, socio-cultural norms of women’s subjugation by their husbands,
and others hinder rural women’s engagement in poverty alleviation initiatives in Enugu State. The
main limitation of this study was the inability to use the whole population of the study due to its
broadness. The study recommends, among others, that there is need for rural women’s
empowerment in Enugu State through the establishment of agro-processing industries, cooperative
societies, skill development and digital literacy initiatives, as a measure to lift them from feminized
poverty.

PERCEPTION OF FINAL-YEAR STUDENTS OF GODFREY OKOYE UNIVERSITY ON THE RELEVANCE OF ENGLISH STUDIES IN THE AI AND STEM ERA
SYNTACTIC UNIFORMITY IN ESSAYS REWRITTEN BY CHATGPT
the rapid integration of generative AI tools, particularly ChatGPT, in
academic writing has raised questions about their impact on syntactic development
and stylistic creativity among university students. This study investigates the degree
of syntactic uniformity in essays rewritten by ChatGPT compared to humanauthored compositions by first-year computer science students at Godfrey Okoye
University, Nigeria. Anchored in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), the research
employs a corpus-based descriptive survey design to analyze sentence complexity,
clause combination, and cohesion in 60 student essays and their AI-mediated
rewrites. Findings reveal that ChatGPT-generated texts exhibit consistent syntactic
patterns, higher use of subordinate clauses, and logical connectors, whereas humanauthored essays demonstrate greater variability, stylistic experimentation, and
context-sensitive cohesion. While AI rewrites enhance grammatical accuracy and
structural clarity, they may constrain stylistic diversity and individual writing voice.
The study underscores the pedagogical implications of AI-assisted writing,
advocating for its use as a supportive tool to reinforce syntactic competence without
diminishing students’ creative expression. Recommendations include integrating AI
in writing instruction while encouraging experimentation with complex sentence
structures and rhetorical variation
Gale of Political Defections: Issues and Implications for Nigeria’s Future
The phenomenon of political defections has become increasingly rampant in Nigeria's democratic landscape,
raising critical questions about party loyalty, ideological commitment, and the stability of the political system.
This paper explores the causes, patterns, and implications of political defections in Nigeria, particularly among
elected officials. It identifies key drivers such as weak party ideologies, lack of internal democracy, personal
ambition, and the pursuit of political relevance. The study highlights the far-reaching consequences of
defections, including the erosion of public trust, weakened democratic institutions, and political instability.
Drawing on qualitative analysis and secondary data, the paper provides insights into how persistent defections
undermine the credibility of electoral mandates and threaten democratic consolidation. The study concludes
with actionable recommendations to curb the trend, such as constitutional reforms, strengthening internal
party mechanisms, civic education, and judicial enforcement of anti-defection laws. By addressing the root
causes of defections, Nigeria can safeguard the integrity of its democracy and ensure a more stable political
