Four Countries, One Calling: Internships Abroad from Comillas
No full textEste artículo recoge la experiencia de cuatro estudiantes de Comillas durante sus prácticas internacionales en Bélgica, Estados Unidos, Colombia y Zanzíbar. A través de un diálogo cercano, narran sus miedos iniciales, los retos de adaptación, las diferencias educativas encontradas y los aprendizajes más significativos. Destacan el prestigio y el esfuerzo de Comillas por abrirles estas oportunidades únicas, que no solo confirmaron su vocación docente, sino que también fortalecieron su confianza, resiliencia y mirada global sobre la educación.This article shares the experiences of four Comillas students during their international teaching placements in Belgium, the United States, Colombia, and Zanzibar. Through a conversational narrative, they reflect on their initial fears, the challenges of adaptation, the educational differences they encountered, and their most meaningful lessons. They highlight Comillas’ prestige and commitment in making these opportunities possible, which not only confirmed their vocation as teachers but also strengthened their confidence, resilience, and global perspective on education
Instrumentos jurídicos y doctrinales de la reforma económico-financiera de la Curia Romana: los frutos y el legado del Papa Francisco
No full textThis paper chronologically traces the key contributions of Pope Francis to the economic reform of the Roman Curia. Throughout his pontificate, he has progressively laid the juridical and doctrinal foundations for a rigorous, robust and unprecedented transformation. These efforts have yielded positive results and are set to leave a lasting legacy. It presents and analyzes the measures aimed at a concurrent reorganization of structures, procedures, and institutional mindset. As a result, it can be argued that a culture of professional and responsible asset management—encompassing both financial securities and real estate—now prevails within the Holy See. This culture is aligned with the social doctrine of the Church and with international standards for preserving the integrity and transparency of economic and financial systems. However, since legal frameworks are not the sole expression of ecclesial law, the most significant doctrinal pronouncements on the subject are also examined at each stage.Este trabajo desarrolla cronológicamente las principales aportaciones del Papa Francisco a la reforma de la Curia Romana en materia económica. Durante su pontificado fue sentando, de forma progresiva, las bases jurídicas y doctrinales para acometer un cambio riguroso, sólido y sin precedentes, que ha dado buenos frutos y deja un legado duradero. Se exponen y analizan las medidas conducentes, al mismo tiempo, a una nueva ordenación de las estructuras, los procedimientos y la mentalidad. De este modo, puede afirmarse que hoy impera en la Santa Sede una cultura de gestión patrimonial, mobiliaria e inmobiliaria, profesional y responsable, conforme a la doctrina social de la Iglesia y a los estándares internacionales establecidos para preservar la integridad y transparencia de los sistemas económico-financieros. Pero los aspectos jurídicos no son el único cauce del derecho eclesial, por lo que, en cada etapa, se hará referencia a las intervenciones doctrinales más destacadas en la materia

No full textEl artículo examina el giro autoritario contemporáneo a partir de una lectura de los análisis de Th. W. Adorno sobre la relación interna entre capitalismo y subjetividad autoritaria. Para ello, se aborda su aproximación a la propaganda fascista como movilizadora de rasgos psicosociales autoritarios generados tendencialmente en determinadas condiciones del capitalismo avanzado. A partir de ahí, se analiza la especificidad de los procesos sociales y de subjetivación contemporáneos que recrudecen dichos rasgos en la actualidad. En el contexto de la crisis de reproducción de la vida y de la generalización del darwinismo social —que intensifica la experiencia del miedo y la impotencia social—, se examina cómo ciertos procesos sociales refuerzan disposiciones autoritarias como la frialdad y la indiferencia social. Los nuevos radicalismos de derechas canalizan estas tendencias hacia la constitución de comunidades de los «protegidos» frente a los «otros» amenazantes. La máxima identificada por Adorno como consigna de la sociedad de clases —«lo que cae, eso es lo que debéis empujar»— condensa hoy la barbarie del capitalismo contemporáneo.The article examines the contemporary authoritarian turn through a reading of Th. W. Adorno’s analyses of the internal relation between capitalism and authoritarian subjectivity. It revisits his account of fascist propaganda as a mobilizer of psychosocial traits generated under advanced capitalist conditions and explores how current forms of social organization and subjectivation intensify these tendencies. In the context of the crisis of social reproduction and the spread of social Darwinism— which amplify fear and social impotence—processes such as the culture of performance, competition, and individual responsibility reinforce dispositions of coldness and social indifference. The new radical right channels these tendencies into communities of the «protected» against threatening «others». The maxim identified by Adorno as the slogan of class society—«What is falling, that you should also push»—today condenses the destructive rationality of capitalism
