Sports Complexes have great ripples that affect the environment and the neighboring areas and activities in terms of job opportunity and footfall of tourists etc. Stadiums are typically designed for a specific purpose, such as hosting sporting events or concerts. When these events are not taking place, the stadium may sit empty, resulting in limited usage and revenue generation. With changing times, people want more than just a place to watch a game, they want a unique and immersive experience that goes beyond the traditional sports event. Huge concrete and steel structures in the middle of the cities can act as major nodes and can either facilitate the overall environment or can turn into white elephants, resulting in abandonment and wastage of space, time and money. Thus in order to minimize the chances of abandonment of stadiums, architectural changes can be introduced while designing the stadiums to ensure the flow of people and thus the revenue. JawaharLal Nehru Football Stadium, Delhi and Yamuna complex, Delhi were two complexes used during Commonwealth 2010. These case studies helped me to understand the scale, spaces, structure, the movement of different users and the functioning. Literature case study includes Lords Stadium and a newly built stadium in Ahmedabad which has tried to integrate public activities on a smaller scale. The Sports complex, Sector 19, Dwarka is a DDA (Delhi Development Authority) project for a Football stadium and other popular sports activities with a 5 percent proposed area for public and commercial spaces. The significant features of the project are going to be the integration of sports stadium and public activities, newly pitched 35% for the commercial spaces and the appreciative nature of the form of stadium for the Bharat Vandana Park

The most fundamental human need is a place to live. Since the first five-year plan, it has been one of the top priorities of Indian government. To encourage housing, the government has offered a number of financial ncentives. Numerous housing-related initiatives have been started since independence, but the goal of oviding housing for all has not yet been reached. India has experienced a tremendous movement from rural to urban areas as a result of urbanisation. Finding appropriate rental living space for oneself within the right udget is a very basic but crucial problem that working professionals and labourers who relocate from small towns and rural parts of the country for employment and better opportunities encounter. This can be attributed to the lack of adequate housing infrastructure in urban areas, which has led to an increase in the number of
slums, especially in industrial areas. This study tries to find possible reasons for the housing problem in industrial areas through a case of Pithampur which is an industrial hub situated near Indore, the business capital of Madhya Pradesh, India. Affordable rental housing is an idea to address the housing crisis, which has
great potential for all parties involved. Affordable Rental Housing focuses on offering less expensive housing options to immigrants and workers who want to rent houses in the vicinity of their newer workplaces. Working migrants can benefit from the availability of affordable rental housing near their workplaces, which can save them time and money on commuting. Developers can benefit from tax incentives and a dedicated fund to support their projects. The government can benefit from the creation of a more inclusive and sustainable

Protecting the ancient wisdomof unique natural water resources into cultural resources-kunds of Rajgir
Rajgir is an ancient city in the Nalanda District of Bihar. Ancient Rajagriha was once one of the greatest towns in the Ganges Valley and the capital of the Magadha kingdom. It was also knows as Vasumati, Barhdrathapura, Girivraja, Kusagrapura and Räjagriha. The founders of Buddhism and Jainism (Buddha and Mahavira), who were mentioned extensively in ancient Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain texts, spent a significant amount of their life here. The springs are part of the natural landscape, and they provide a particular character to one area over another. Hot -Springs were traditional flowing water structures in India that served a variety of cultural, religious, social, and utilitarian purposes. Since the beginning of time, hot-spring Kunds have been a source of water for humans. In the city of Rajgir, hot springs kunds have great importance in terms of cultural and social values. The place has the importance of myths, beliefs, and faith where pilgrim activities take place almost every day and month. Every religious people are associated with kunds. A background study has been done to understand the ecological and mythological context of the Kunds, how the fusion of nature and culture has come into existence, and the part the water system has played. To protect this kund, it is important to visualize kunds as a system of multiple elements coming together as characteristics on the site have been observed, beliefs and faith of the people and its importance. The thesis aim is to study and document the kund and other heritage components at the site including its relationship with people and their uses. This raises design challenges that might increase wellbeing. The project's goal is to create places with characteristics that improve the user's surroundings while they receive treatments and therapies. Depression, stress, emotional trauma, anxiety, lifestyle problems, and other difficulties must be addressed first in order to reach inner peace, healing, and well-being. To address this issue, venues should be constructed in such a way that they connect individuals to natural and rural surroundings, causing them to relearn the harmful contemporary lifestyle subconsciously. It would then guide the individual to a healthy and healed physique. When a user comes with the purpose of getting relaxed and rejuvenated, both internally and externally, there is a necessity to provide spaces with such design elements that help a person experience some special transformative energy which can subsequently enhance wellbeing, and heal a person. Community welfare centre for the coastral commons of Pulicat Tamil Nadu
The drastic reduction of carbon sinks due to human-induced factors has led to a rise in global temperatures, causing climatic shifts. Climate volatility and an increase in water levels, directly impacting the coastal communities because of their geographical exposure. According to the United Nations, the most vulnerable are the communities belonging to the lower strata of the society, in the coastal regions of the developing nations, due to the lack of proper infrastructure, access to climate related information and their dependency on climate sensitive livelihoods like fishing and tourism. This necessitates external intervention for community so that they are economically, socially, and ecologically resilient. The thesis is an inquiry into the interdependence of the community and the wetlands. Through community engagement and literature review, we try to recognize the community’s aspirations and their socio-ecological vulnerabilities i.e., the social exclusion of the inhabitants from the basic facilities and several other economic and livelihood threats posed on them and their ecosystem due to its secluded geography and lack of sensitive resource management. intending to design and strategize how the built environment may intervene to enable the communities to coexist with the environment. The project’s goal is to intervene through an architectural design for the community that embraces local traditions while conceptualizing a new design that uplifts the communities and rethink how we perceive the wetland and their inhabitants. Historically, wetlands were known as ‘Poramboku lands’: which referred to communally held land for shared use and care. Over time communities have gained a deepened understanding and developed traditional methods to regulate natural resources, which have become a crucial part of their livelihoods and culture. However, during the colonial era, communally held lands were disregarded. Additionally, owing to the natural draining properties of wetlands, these ecological kidneys were classified as waste. The term “Poramboku” is widely used today to denigrate someone. This perspective has endured since colonial times and shaped how we view wetlands and their communities, exposing them to socio-ecological vulnerabilities. Therefore, it is crucial to bring back the wetland and its communities to the forefront. This research explores the interdependence between the community and the wetlands to design and strategize how the built environment might intervene to enable a resilient community. The proposal envisions an architectural design unifying ecology and the coastal commons to foster resilience and revive the life of ‘Poramboku.
Development plan strategy for potential satellite town
Bihta is a town near Patna, Bihar. It is located around 28 km west of Patna. The historic city of Patna in eastern India is one of the major cities on the banks of the mighty Ganga. The city faces extreme pressure on its services and is geographically constrained to grow in all directions. According to CityMayor's Foundation, Patna was India's fifth fastest-growing city during 2005-2010. Metropolitan citiesare progressively interlinked and dependent on secondary cities to boost trade, Investment, and localeconomic development. According to UN-Habitat, Satellite Towns are one such spatial category, called secondary cities surrounding the large urban metropolitan region. Bihta is emerging as the Satellitetown of Patna. The Satellite town (also known as Sub Town) of Bihta hosts the campus of several prominent educational institutions of Bihar including IIT and NIT Patna, IT parks, etc. besides several social infrastructures and government offices of various line departments. The present study unfolds the urban overload of Patna through the objective analysis of different urban services and infrastructures and finds how the urban overload of Patna shapes the functional and spatial structure of Bihta. Thereafter the present study makes an attempt to establish the potential of Bihta to become a satellite town of Patna and this is done through the objective analysis of relevant aspects. The present study further provides planning interventions based on the learnings of various satellite towns in India. To sum up, the present study documents the narrative of urban overload of a geographically constrained metropolis and recommends a set of evidence-based planning interventions for a satellite town after establishing its potential as a satellite town
