6. Stephen H. Penman (2013), Financial statement analysis and security valuation. The article discusses the indicators of the weighted average cost of enterprise capital (WACC) and the
profitability of enterprise activities.
The weighted average cost of capital (WACC) is the average rate a business pays to finance its assets. It is
calculated based on the average rate of all sources of capital (both debt and equity) of the company, weighted
by the proportion of each component.
The higher the weighted average cost of capital is above zero and the more stable a potential investor is,
the more interested he will be in buying the company's shares. Therefore, it is very important for potential
investors.
In addition, the managers of the enterprise are responsible for the effective management of the resources
entrusted to them, which means that the business must cover the costs and additionally receive a financial
surplus or profit.
It is also necessary to manage and control the asset utilization ratio. The article presents a comparative
characterization of the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) and profitability. Draws relevant conclusions

In this angle, the existing relevant environment in Georgia is not so favorable. It has to be noted that the widespread introduction of high-tech-based production and services ensures minimizing the effect of the retro economy in the whole country which at the same time will make a positive reflection on the wellness of the population. Implementation of these types of initiatives, the main focus should be definitely be on the development of high-tech and medium-tech industries. The successful realization of this precondition could be
considered strengthening of the education and science sector, especially in terms of exact and natural science. The following article includes a review and brief analysis of data on high-tech-based products, their export and import, and value-added regarding the official statistical information which is at the same time would be very interesting for the
public. Therefore, attracting and using high technologies in the Georgian economy in general could be a precondition for creating competitive products in the country that can meet the appropriate requirements existing in the society. Implementation of the innovation-based projects could be including only the high and medium high technological
industry in accordance to international categories. Production of wine and beverages as well as mineral water and its export does not gain negative value of course but this direction would not be fully profitable for the Georgia’s economy at all. This process should be done through the growing of high-tech based production and service share in the total economy. Noteworthy, that COVID-19 pandemic processes in particular made significant impact on the traditional economic approaches. Thus, innovative ideas linked to high technology especially in post COVID era could play an important role both in the world and in Georgia

ქალის გამოსახულება პოლონელი დევნილი „კავკასიელი“ პოეტების ლირიკაში. THE IMAGE OF A WOMAN IN THE LYRICS OF POLISH EXILED “CAUCASIAN” POETS
The poetry of the Polish „Caucasians” of the 1830-50s is, for the
most part, the poetry of messages and epitaphs. Even devotion to a
woman often reminds us of a kind of epitaph of hope, of love, since
it is known from the beginning that a meeting does not take place.
The Caucasian branch of literature is uniquely a masculine world
that obeys the rules of exile and war. Topics, worldview, language
and even forms of expression are subject to extreme situations. This
is a kind of account of the fate of the soldiers and their movements,
it is a “military campaign writing”. In this highly masculine poetry we lack something important –
the existence of a woman. Of course, the faces of women appear,
but it is almost not a real object, which should be the main one in
“masculine” poetry.
Tadeush Lada-Zablotsky steadfastly avoids the reality of romantic
love in a dream world. We do not even know if he had a real
girlfriend in the Caucasus. We cannot understand this from poetic
messages. In the last, “Caucasian” period, this feeling deepens, but
with the complete unearthiness, it takes on a new, real basis: the
woman is far away and lost forever.
Stanislav Vinicki has a lyrical poem “Georgian Woman”. For a
man who catches the eye of a Georgian woman, this woman remains
an inaccessible statue, but a “statue of a Caucasian angel”, that is, an
embodiment of inaccessible values.
Xavier Petrashkevich praised the dancing Georgian woman. He
added detailed comments to the poem. Its lines show the specificity
of the scene, the materiality, although there is a deeper layer hidden
behind the appearance. Dancing Georgian woman is the embodiment
of femininity and at the same time, a symbol of the spirituality
of the Georgian people.
Thus, in the work of “Caucasians”, women live in the world of
dreams, dreams that have almost no hope of being realized. This is
another “voice to the end”, behind which is hidden personal drama.
It tones the whole literature of exile in a kind of “weakened” way

TIME AND MODERNITY
ივანე ჯავახიშვილის დაბადებიდან 146-ე წლისთავისადმი მიძღვნილი სამეცნიერო კონფერენციაEven in the scientific literature, there is often a confusion between
the concepts of “modernization” and “modernity”. Modernisation marks
the ongoing socio-political transformations in European history since the
Middle Ages, and modernity is used to denote the cultural processes that
have been going on in Europe since the early 20th century. Modernism was
the first artistic activity to declare modernity as an imperative of existence
and life. The pre-modern and current aesthetics were essentially focused
on the absolute, which in turn meant that the dimensions and trends of
time and space remained beyond or, to put it another way, aesthetics did
not make the processes taking place in time and space the subject of reflection.
It is at the time that modernism emerges, which destroys the rigid hierarchies
of existence, denying the aesthetics of the Absolute. He discusses
art in relation to time and speace. Modernity is a stage of culture that has tried to look at itself from
the outside, however, for such a view it was necessary to have a cut-off
point, that is why modernists have defined themselves in relation to time.
In modernism, the “I” creates the world from the irrational, unknowable,
chaotic beginning of it’s soul. The world created by modernism is a world
full of horror, tragedy, in which people and objects are transformed into
cold and dry constructions.
The modernist art of the twentieth century has made one of its basic
principles a new understanding of man. This is a statement about the existence
of two “I’s” in a person and the rift between them: One “I” is a natural,
true “I”, the true essence of man, the second “I” is a social phenomenon,
false, not real – “not me”. Art must reach the “I” and be projected from it
only to the external reality. XX century art is a manifestation of the nihilistic
spirit, notes the German philosopher Hans Sedelmeier in his work “Loss of
Center”, the dehumanization of art was reflected in the rejection of man, as
Gasset used to say: by the testimony of a suffocation victim…
Almost every direction of modernist art has made the attack on the
mind one of its purposes. So if it is possible to see such a complex phenomenon
as the modernist fl ow of XX century art, to find one key sign, as a
sign that gives it is unique plase, intellectual impairment should be named
and raising the “irrational dimensions” of the human soul
DIET IN ANCIENT COLCHIS (6TH C. B.C. - 4TH C. A.D.)
https://geohistory.humanities.tsu.ge/ge/procedings/83-shromebi/177-shromebi-18.htmlDiet alongside with some issues connected with it is a very urgent topic in Georgian historiography since no major work exists which would be focused on it. We have a lot of archaeological data – fossilized remains of plants and animals as well as different samples of ceramic cuisine vessels. Narrative sources at our disposal are comparably few. Working on a paper based on this material is somewhat challenging, since, for example, pre Columbian Exchange stratum needs to be separated from after Columbian Exchange stratum in ethnographic materials, while informativeness of archaeological material is limited and without evidences attested in narrative sources it is hard to make conclusions about specific dishes and recipes. In our paper, we tried to synthesize all these evidences, also to take into consideration the influence Graeco-Roman society might have on Colchis in terms of diet and as a result to give conclusions based on comparison and synthesis. We outlined that some dishes which were part of traditional Georgian cuisine for centuries, emerged as a result of imported plants. Also, we paid attention to one issue – the sources of energy in modern and traditional, antique age Colchian cuisine are quite different and some popular food which appears to have been established for centuries in Georgia, do not seem to be very authentic.
We tried to outline major aspects of diet in ancinet Colchis. Several very interesting aspects were highlighted. First of all, it should be mentioned that most aspects of the diet have direct connection with geography. Different products were dominant in geographically diverse Colchis. Japanese millet (Echinochloa frumentacea) was dominant culture in swampy areas and was perceived as low quality product, therefore mostly lower social classes used it in their diet. Millet was sewn in hinterland from ancient times which served as a major cereal for Colchian population. Foxtail millet was used in sacrifices from 2nd c. B.C. – it seems it was introduced here in Hellenic or Hellenistic Age. Population in the highlands used setaria mocharica, which looks like millet and does not have high quality feeding value. Emmer also seems to be cultivated alongside with wheat. Low platable wheat was sewn in highlands and also on the territories with natural drainage. Wheat production was radically reduced from the 1st c. B.C. Rye which is a result of the evolution of wheat weed seems to be used from the 1st century B.C. The major ingredient of Chvishtari, a very local dish, seems to be rye until first foxtail millet and later, maize squeezed its area of usage. Products from trees also were used, like walnuts, nuts, chestnuts – they are attested not only archaeologically but also in narrative sources.
Livestock was the major source of proteins in ancient Colchis. Herding was very developed. Ancient Colchians knew highland herding as well as transhumance. Narrative sources suggest the use of dairy in everyday life for the majority of population. Legumes are major source of plant proteins. Pea was used during funerary rites which was replaced by kidney beans after Columbian Exchange. Chickling pea was also used to make porridge, also before Columbian Exchange, as well as lupine was used during hard winters, this is attested ethnographically, also a Roman author, Columella mentions it. წ. BINARITY OF POETIC IMAGES IN THE “GEORGIAN” POEMS A. S. PUSHKIN
In the poetic descriptions of different pictures of the world, binary
oppositions are observed – a number of binary features opposed to each
other, every one of which, respectively, has a positive or negative value.
These oppositions can be spatial (up-down, sky-earth), color (white-black), social-categorical (male-female, older-younger), temporal (day-night,
summer-winter), etc. “The role of binary oppositions, discovered
in the 20th century, knows no boundaries: they are used in the range
from poetic rhythm, which is built on the binary alternation of the
smallest units of the language (stressed syllable – unstressed syllable),
to the biological rhythms of day and night, winter and summer, and
also cultural rhythms: idealistic culture – materialistic culture”. The
duality of the poetic perception of the world, the simultaneous binary
representation of opposite concepts, one of which affirms some quality,
and the other denies, can be traced in two poems by A. S. Pushkin,
in which Georgia is mentioned: “Do not sing, beauty, in my presence
the songs of sad Georgia ...” (1828) and “On the hills of Georgia lies
the darkness of the night ...” (1829). These two poems were written at
different times, in different places and under different circumstances,
dedicated to different addressees, but they are united by the word
“Georgia”. With the coincidence of the main meaning of ‘country’,
the nomination “Georgia” in Pushkin’s texts expresses different
semantics. In the first case, the synecdoche of “songs of sad Georgia”
is by no means synonymous with the adjective-substantive phrase “sad
Georgian songs”. Here the word “Georgia”, on the one hand, performs
a definitive function, and, on the other hand, receives connotative
expressive coverage. In the second case, in a genitive phrase with the
preposition “on” – “On the hills of Georgia”, this nomination expresses
a spatial relationship, a place of action. In the first case, the nomination
“Georgia” is connotatively charged, it is sad, in the second – there is no
such connotation. It should be noted that “sad Georgia” from the poem
“Do not sing, beauty, in my presence ...” enters into binary opposition
with “happy Georgia” in the poem “Prisoner of the Caucasus” of 1820-
1821, in which a Circassian woman in love with a Russian captive “..
sings to him both the songs of the mountains and the songs of happy
Georgia”. A. S. Pushkin so liked the melody of the Georgian song brought from the Caucasus to Russia by A. S. Griboyedov and the musical work
by M. I. Glinka that he wrote for him the text of an elegy address to Anna
Olenina, who sang beautifully. The mysteriousness and romanticism of
surprisingly pure and tender “Georgian” poems by A. S. Pushkin are
created by a special selection of words that merge, for all their binarity,
into a single unique integrity

The first is to localize the coronavirus and ensure the health of the population, and the second is to restructure the economy to ensure the country's food security.
The paper work focuses on the second challenge and argues that in terms of threat, the second challenge is the same as the first, as massive lethality of the population can occur not only through coronavirus but also through starvation.
The author of the article talks about the changes in the sectoral structure of the Georgian economy in accordance with the current situation and, examining the views of other Georgian scientists on this issue, concludes that today, the first priority for Georgia should be only production, for example, food production
