Impact of Gender-Specific Marketing on Consumer Purchasing Behavior in Philippines
Purpose: The aim of the study was to analyze impact of gender-specific marketing on consumer purchasing behavior in Philippines.
Methodology: This study adopted a desk methodology. A desk study research design is commonly known as secondary data collection. This is basically collecting data from existing resources preferably because of its low cost advantage as compared to a field research. Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries.
Findings: Recent studies on the impact of gender-specific marketing on consumer purchasing behavior in the Philippines reveal that tailoring marketing strategies to gender preferences significantly influences buying decisions. Research indicates that campaigns designed with gender-specific appeals are more effective in resonating with target audiences, thereby enhancing engagement and driving sales. For instance, marketing messages emphasizing traditional gender roles or specific lifestyle aspirations often result in higher purchase intentions among female consumers, while campaigns highlighting strength and technology tend to appeal more to male consumers.
Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Social role theory, consumer culture theory (CCT) & theory of planned behavior (TPB) may be used to anchor future studies on the impact of gender-specific marketing on consumer purchasing behavior in Philippines. Organizations should implement mentorship programs tailored to the specific needs of women in different sectors and career stages. Policymakers and organizations should develop and enforce structured mentorship policies that include regular evaluations, clear objectives, and accountability measures
Assessing the Effectiveness of Humanitarian and Peacebuilding Role of NGOs in the Cameroon Anglophone Conflict: A Survey of the Affected Communities
Purpose: The Anglophone conflict has attracted interest from different stakeholders around the world, including international and local NGOs that are providing humanitarian and peacebuilding services to the affected communities. Despite their efforts to curb the negative effects of the conflict and improve human security, the situation remains stagnant, despite some relative peace in certain parts of the two regions. The objective of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the humanitarian and peacebuilding role of these NGOs in the conflict.
Methodology: A quantitative research approach was used in this study. A survey of 639 respondents was conducted using a questionnaire with open and closed-ended questions. The findings revealed that the NGOs humanitarian and peacebuilding role came in the form of providing foodstuffs and healthcare, promoting social cohesion by creating opportunities for re-socialisation, remobilization, recreation, and reintegration in the affected communities.
Findings: The findings also revealed that less than half (40.1%) of the affected population benefited from the humanitarian supplies. Also, the majority (62.1%) of those who benefited were females. A greater proportion (36.7%) of the respondents reported that the NGOs delivered humanitarian aid only after two years, meaning they were not regular. The study also revealed a significant difference between North West and South West region respondents’ assessments of NGOs possession of means to address humanitarian and peacebuilding concerns of the affected communities with the Chi-Square test result of c 2 =44.493, df = 3 and P-value <.000. Thereby, rejecting the null hypothesis and accepting the hypothesis. Hence, the NGOs were not effective in their humanitarian and peacebuilding role in the Cameroon Anglophone conflict.
Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: The results of this research do not counter the interdependence or voluntary failure theory since the NGOs could not adequately and effectively play their humanitarian and peacebuilding role in the ongoing conflict. NGOs should also consider empowering members of the affected populations to take care of themselves rather than thinking of continually providing them with their needs which are often insufficient

Modeling Covid-19 Virus after Lifting Preventive Measures: A Case Study of Kisii County
Purpose: This research is about a new COVID-19 SIR model containing three classes; susceptible S(t), infected I(t), and recovered R(t) with the convex incident rate.
Methodology: The NCOVID-19 model was formulated in the following system, the whole population N(t) was divided into three classes S(t), I(t), and R(t), which represented Susceptible, Infected, and Recovered compartments in the form of differential equations. Lyapunov functions were used to validate the stability of the equilibrium of the ordinary differential equations, linearization of the system was also done using Jacobian matrices by finding the derivatives of f(x) for x.
Findings: Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by the novel coronavirus identified as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The people infected by COVID-19 experience mild respiratory problems such as; Fever, dry cough, throat infection, and fatigue. People may also have symptoms such as nasal infection, aches, and sore throat. The pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life in Kenya, Africa, and the whole world as it presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food systems, and the world of work. This case study seeks to model covid-19 virus after lifting preventive measures with a major focus on Kisii County, the subject model was presented in the form of differential equations and the disease-free and endemic equilibrium was calculated for the model. Also, the basic reproduction number R0 = 0.7831 was calculated and the disease-free equilibrium was found to be asymptotically stable meaning that the virus could be eliminated from the population, this showed that the county government of Kisii was in good control of the COVID-19 situation., in addition, The global stability of the model was calculated using the Lyapunov function construction while the Local stability was calculated using the Jacobian matrices. The numerical solutions were calculated using the non-standard finite difference scheme (NFDS) and MATLAB software.
Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: This study has laid a foundation for future research in the area. In the future, a study that can include the rate of COVID-19 virus mutation and its impacts is recommended
